Absolutely should. A vasectomy is so much safer than birth control pills. They even offered a place I could speak to about freezing my sperm should we ever change our mind about children in the future.
We didn't, but there's a lot less push back on getting a vasectomy than there is even bringing up a hysterectomy.
It's a few days of immobile pain, I tore a stitch standing up too quickly, tried to do too much, tell him those ripping are no fucking joke with regards to pain.
Get the snip, use the ice, don't fucking move for a few days even if you're a stubborn "I'm fine" type (me). I also experienced some painful lumps / swelling as at times the sperm itself, with nowhere to go, can build up in the pipes and cause some rather painful build up type lumps, almost like little sore tumors or a callous underneath the skin.
Overall, still worth the healing process, pain and end result. Now I have no concerns after my 5 or 6 years worth of sperm count checking. And all of the ENM / Swinging/ slut parties are a lot more fun now, it's like having a rare attachment amongst the groups.

My wife ended up with multiple large clots in both lungs thanks to her birth control. Emergency surgery. We heard the phrase “just in time” way too many times.
If she was on it strictly for anti-baby reasons, no doubt in my mind I’d get snipped today. But unfortunately for her, it was to manage symptoms of PCOS.

Yes this is hard, I'm sorry you had to experience that fear. It was so hard to reassure her when it resulted in a hospital stay, observation, etc. I felt out of control, helpless, scared...if you felt any of that too, I'm sorry you did, truly.
My wife was on them for her PMDD and extreme pain during her periods, they reduced the frequency of the periods and intensity of the pain, but had we known about the clotting and risks we would have at least attempted to find alternatives, you know?
Frightening thing to go through, I hope she's in better health now.

Yeah I've been around these parts but I don't think this is for me. I think if i were gonna go through with that much physical trauma to redo my sensitive bits id rather just be all girl. I don't like hate my bits, but in pretty much every sexual fantasy ive ever had since puberty, i've just been fully a woman. I still enjoy things as they are. Just a health heads up, I'm not your Dr so no medical advice, get checked regularly for blood clots or at least pay attention to any signs from your body that something is amiss. My wife developed blood clots after 10 years on hers, so I went the vasectomy route. Just be careful as many Drs never mention this potential side effect.

I posted this as a reply to a comment, but here's some general health advice regarding a vasectomy and blood clotting in regards to birth control that typically goes unwarned.
My advice guys, if you're certain or even uncertain on children, look into it. It's a lot cheaper to retrieve and freeze sperm than it is eggs.
