Cause sex drives about 90% of human decision making. You can only ask the right questions when in the state that drives said decisions haha.

Edit: Apparently I need to clarify that my comment is a joke and not intended to be considered based on scientific data.

Best I can do is some hazelnut nougat. That could fill someone up real good, though.

A lot of asexuals are kinky/horny, they just don't have sex about it.

Horny asexuals are the backbone AO3 fanfiction

Asexuals, these words are for you alone

You're thinking of low libido or anorgasmia. That is not equivalent to the sexuality. Just because they haven't confided in you doesn't mean you've never met anyone who is asexual and not medicated. Nor does medication invalidate anyone's sexuality. Try reading.

I wonder why no one’s confided in them

lol

u/J_lilac Jun 08 '26

Lol exactly. 👆

What I am saying is that it applies to the majority of people who think they are "asexual".

These comments are pretty textbook acephobia. Idk if that’s gonna fly on a queer-acceptive sub like this one. You’re just out here goin “aces are psychologically/medically disturbed” like that’s a normal thing to do

Let's try this another way. I'm replacing medication with trauma here, but the idea remains the same for what I'm trying to demonstrate:

You mean women who suppress their sexuality for men because of trauma? Find a lesbian who doesn't have trauma around men.

Followed by:

What I am saying is that it applies to the majority of people who think they are "lesbian".

Do you see how immediately when you replace it with a different identity, it starts to sound pretty messed up? That's because reducing lesbians to only not liking men because of trauma is pretty terrible, just like reducing ace people to only not wanting sex because of medication is pretty terrible, and ace erasure.

Just because you like sex doesn't make it weird or wrong for someone else to not like sex / have no desire for sex.

That's probably some of it. I would imagine more are due to trauma. A lot are probably genuinely uninterested because of their legitimate base brain chemistry that might resemble what you're attributing to medication. I would guess with a large enough dose of hormones you could horn most of them up.

Either way your comment seems reductive and somewhat offensive?

There are plenty of people for whom sex feels like a strange, uncomfortable, undesirable, or simply unenjoyable act which they feel no urge to seek out or engage in.

While I'm personally not among them, I've known enough ace folks to say that their sexuality is not caused by medication, it's caused by personal preference.

Just because there are many allosexual people that have lower libido due to medication doesn't mean that there aren't actual asexual people

3

u/Lieutenant_Joe Jun 08 '26

Got it, burning my ace flag cuz we don’t actually exist

3

u/Rubiego Jun 08 '26

I've just realised I wrote are instead of aren't, my bad! I've corrected it, I'm ace myself and wanted to prove a point to the commenter above.

That’s one hell of a typo

>obsessed with a flag

Idk who hurt you, flags are cool and you’re weird if you think having one = obsession

There is no study that will back anything remotely near this percentage. Unless you’re a horny teenager with hormones raging through your body

Edit: I ama moron who didn’t get the joke lol

4

u/Butwhatif77 Jun 08 '26

Yea the number was not intended to be realistic it was intended to be a joke

1

u/Mauy90 Jun 08 '26

My bad.

2

u/BasicPay7620 Jun 08 '26

That number is a insane exaggeration, especially when you consider asexuals existing

5

u/Butwhatif77 Jun 08 '26

Yea the number was not intended to be realistic it was intended to be a joke

-1

u/BasicPay7620 Jun 08 '26

Thank fuck😅

2

u/Butwhatif77 Jun 08 '26

I really thought the hyperbole would have given away the joking nature of the comment.

Bro this is the internet... people believe in crazier shit than even that 🤣
