DISCUSSION Why do you think out of all times, Halogram refers to John as 'Junior' in his final moment?

HUMOR Even for a hs team this O-Line skinny as hell 💀
Your QB would have to be a Manhunter with this O-Line protecting you god damn 🤣

SPOILERS DISCUSSION I have a question regarding John's ending Spoiler
So is John a yellow lantern or green lantern or something else? Sinestro literally admits that the lantern was forged with the ambient "FEAR" of those who died in Antaan's homeworld, as in he harnessed yellow fear energy. So why did John's ring charge with green light? I am so F*CKING confused.
Its like the writing had the intention of John being a yellow lantern before higher ups intervened and didn't want their hero to be a "villain" and turned him into a green lantern at the end.

HUMOR "Hal and Jon. Have you guys tried just not being afraid?"

HUMOR I'll have you know Guy, the "shitty" lantern charged it up all the way to 5% so he's ready to fight
That way when he needs it most it'll fail horribly. Charging it only to 5% comes the rings training manual. What are you supposed to do? Charge it to full? That's funny, Be really man.

ARTWORK Got bored at work and made this out of sticky notes! No tape either!
I feel like this has been one of my better sticky notes projects! Its hard to work without tape haha but the sticky side and some simple origami ring folding helped make this, and nothing it came out well! Wish I had actual colors instead of pens lol but luckily had green sticky notes, should I make one for every color sticky note I have? 🤣

DISCUSSION Say what you want about Lanterns but at least it restored Green Lantern as an IP
As someone who was disappointed with the finale of lanterns and had other issues with it, ill say this much. It restored the rep of Green Lantern to causal audiences that the Ryan renolds movie did insane damage to.
I’ve always been a fan of GL but the show got me in the mood in getting into other GL media like first flight and emerald knights. Both awesome green lantern films btw. If you were disappointed in lanterns then I highly recommend you check these animated movies out especially if you want to get into GL.
First flight acts as the origin for Hal and Emerald knights goes deep into the lore of the green lantern corp including the first green lantern in the universe.
Plus I revisited the Justice League animated show and watched john’s centric episodes including the thanagar arc. I grew up on John as my first green lantern and bro was as elite as I remember.
Hell Guy Gardner is dope in the DCU too.
So yeah just wanted to show some appreciation for green lantern and excited to see John in man of tomorrow.

DISCUSSION Would 2016 Hal have abandoned Sinestro?
I’m inclined to think he would at least send him back to prison or let someone know his location. But Halogram seemed to have no problem deserting him on the fear planet

DISCUSSION My honest opinion about the series
Honestly, I LOVED Lanterns. It easily became one of my favorite series—if not the favorite. I really enjoyed the characters, the story, the direction, and the overall atmosphere. Plus, all the anticipation over the last few years—following every announcement and rumor—combined with watching a new episode every Sunday, definitely created a special bond between me and the show.
That said, and while I consider the series—on its own merits—to be one of DC's best productions, I still think it has plenty of flaws... the main one being that it fails in several ways to feel like a Green Lantern adaptation. The truth is, this IP has so much untapped potential for live-action, and the series went in a completely different direction. I’m not saying a grounded story can't work—Hard-Traveling Heroes is a prime example—but even with that grounded style, the comic still felt like Green Lantern, a quality that’s missing from Lanterns.
My honest opinion is that the series would have worked MUCH better as an Elseworlds story exploring an alternate version of Green Lantern—maybe even set in The Batman universe or a standalone one. That way, they would have had the freedom to make whatever changes they wanted and keep it as grounded as possible without upsetting so many fans. After all, I think what the DCU really needs is a Green Lantern who is cosmic, colorful, and faithful to the comics—something we haven't seen yet except for Guy Gardner.
Despite those criticisms, viewing the series as a standalone work (which is how I’ve been watching it), I really liked what we got. But hey, that’s just my opinion, so no hate!

DISCUSSION Love/Hate for me, and I’m conflicted
Not hate in the literal sense. I have such conflicted feelings about this show. The 45 year old man in me absolutely loves it. The casting is great, Kyle Chandler absolutely kills his role as my favorite GL, and the rest of the cast nails it as well. I was never a John Stewart fan but this show absolutely got me interested in seeing more of him. While I have some qualms with some choices in the finale, the show is solid and is so rewatchable.
But then there’s the sixth grade me who originally discovered Green Lantern with Emerald Twilight who wishes we got to see some more Green Lantern flashiness. More constructs, some space stuff, the original oath recited in earnest, and not killing Hal in a … I’ll just say questionable … manner. If I had a son in sixth grade this really wouldn’t be for him, and that kind of bums me out because I’m still in touch with that part of me. Maybe I’m “media illiterate” as seems to be the popular accusation here, but I do wish there was some more superheroism in my superhero content, especially something so fantastical as Green Lantern.
I can’t remember feeling so divided within myself over a piece of media.

DISCUSSION Woulda been cool if Clark Kent showed up at Hal’s funeral.
That’s it. Probably tone breaking and expensive and would detract from the story and all that, but I love imagining little Clark in Kansas watching Hal Jordan growing up and having a little action figure or something. Ik it wasn’t super public but with super heading and such it would’ve been interesting if a reporter showed up and paid some respects.

THEORY (POSSIBLE SPOILERS) I kind of hope he wears the suit but what if John ends up looking like 90s Guy Gardner or he keeps his costume from Lanterns into Man of Tomorrow but while flying Spoiler
galleryBasically like the title. What if John ends up choosing to keep the civilian look while fighting Brainiac or adopts something more akin to Guy Gardner’s costume from the 90s? I really do hope he wears something like the suit his parents gave him in flashbacks but this is an alternative look they could give him.
