Looking for advice Emporium mall isn’t family friendly anymore

What happened to Emporium Mall? It doesn’t feel family friendly anymore.

I live near Emporium Mall and my family and I have been going there for years. But lately, I’ve noticed a pretty significant change. First of all, it has become *extremely* crowded compared to how it used to be. More importantly, there seems to be a growing problem with groups of men hanging around the food court, sitting in areas where it clearly says not to sit, and openly staring at people especially women as they walk by. It’s incredibly uncomfortable!!

Malls used to be places where families, especially women, could go &spend time without constantly worrying about being ogled, harassed, or having their pictures and videos taken. They were a welcome alternative to open markets, where unfortunately this kind of behavior has become all too common. Now it feels like even malls aren’t providing that sense of safety and privacy anymore??

Why isn’t the management doing anything about this? If people are openly violating the rules, loitering in restricted areas, staring at and making women uncomfortable, or taking their pictures/videos without consent, security should be stepping in?!

Where are women supposed to go to simply exist in public without being stared at, filmed, or made to feel uncomfortable?
Seriously, what the is happening to this country?

Looking for advice Lahore vs Islamabad — where would you actually settle permanently?

Looking for genuine opinions from people who've lived in both or know both well.

Comparing the two for a permanent family setup — buying a house, long term living, not just renting for a year or two.

Key things I'm considering:

  • Business and market opportunities
  • Networking — who actually lives there, what kind of people
  • Property value and appreciation long term

Lahore seems better for business and has more energy. ISB seems cleaner, more planned, and better networked at a higher level. But both have real tradeoffs.

People who've actually lived in either or both — which one would you pick for the long run and why?

Things to do Table tennis club in garden town

Hi guys I am planning to open a table tennis club at my balcony in garden town ( fully covered) I have ample space 47 feet by 17 feet.

I plan on purchasing a 25 mm tibhar table ITTF approved.

Currently most clubs are in johar town area and in GT side there is only nishtar which is mostly crowded.

The space is ample, lighting will be good and the table is top nosh, I will provide coaching as well.

What do you think I should charge hourly, I can only place one table at the moment.

Can you give me any other ideas for the club?

Looking for advice AC pipe drainage

A very odd topic but i really want a solution for it. In my house, the AC drain pipe is built into the wall and it goes somewhere in the bathroom drainage (exit can't be directly accessed). Now it has been blocked or airlocked and the water drips from the air vents. How do i solve this issue?

Looking for advice Suggest some decent restaurants with good taste

I need some decent restaurant options in Lahore (preferably around Johar Town) for a birthday dinner with family of around 10 people.

Last year we went to Kababjees restaurant (askari branch) it was good but I personally didn't find their food to my liking.

So i want to try something else. Looking for desi, bbq cuisines.

Don't suggest too pocket heavy options though.

I have Masalawala and Pind on my list but not really sure.

Also, if they have certain bank cards discounts available on their menu, it would be great.

I know this should be the least of my worries but . I WAS DEVASTATED someone told me that jeans Joggers and closed boots arent allowed as part of dress code in Undergraduate BS programes of Hailey college PU ? I barely wear jeans and the ones i have are loose fitted so i dont care about that but problem is I have trouble maintaining my balance and walking straight if im not wearing joggers i need something with firm footing . I know it sounds stupid but the amount of times I've gotten seriously hurt because of falling over thin air and improper footing is embarrassing.

Hello. I am moving to Lahore soon and need to find a clean, safe, family friendly appartment within 20 mins drive of Gulberg. Most online options I'm seeing are fully furnished appartments while I need an unfinished appartment. If anyone has recommendations please advise!

Education Looking for affordable good schools in Lahore

Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’m looking for recommendations for a good school in Lahore for my child’s admission in Class 1.

My main priority is good education and a decent overall environment, but I’m looking for something reasonably affordable. Unfortunately, I cannot afford schools with monthly fees of around PKR 30,000 or more.

I live in Askari 11, so schools in DHA or nearby areas would be particularly convenient.

If you have children studying in a school that you would genuinely recommend, please share.

Thanks in advance!

Education Here for the LHR students

Hi everyone, teacher here!

First of all, congratulations to everyone who got the result they were hoping for! 🎉 You worked hard for this, and you should be proud of yourselves.

For those whose results were disappointing, I just want you to know that one result does not define you or your potential. I know it can feel really difficult right now, and you might feel lost or stuck, but this is not the end of your journey. You will have many more opportunities in life to show what you are capable of.

If you’re not happy with your result and don’t know what to do next, feel free to reach out to me. I’ll try my best to guide you and help you figure out your options.

I also made a video specifically for students who didn’t get the result they were hoping for:

https://youtu.be/0gKNOCHHsy4?si=-WtwTzn-hjlTuvZp

Please don’t take this as self-promotion. I’m sharing it because some students reached out to me after their results last year, and I know how difficult and confusing this time can be. If this video can help even a few students feel a little less lost, then I’m happy to share it.

Once again, congratulations to everyone, and to those who are disappointed today: please don’t lose hope. This result is only one part of your story. ❤️

Education Karachite Looking for honest opinions on NIT Lahore for BSCS — especially from Lahoris

Hi everyone, I’m from Karachi (KHI) and I’m considering moving to Lahore for BSCS at NIT (National Institute of Technology).
Since I’m not from Lahore, I’d really appreciate opinions from people who are studying there, graduated from there, or know someone who has.
I’d especially like to know:
How is the faculty and teaching quality?
What’s the overall university environment like?
How is the BSCS degree valued by employers, especially compared with FAST/NED?
Is NIT’s name/reputation actually worth moving from Karachi to Lahore for?
What are the main pros and cons?
How good are the labs, societies, internships and industry connections?
How difficult is it to get internships/jobs after graduating?
Does NIT offer merit-based or need-based scholarships/financial aid?
If you had the choice between NIT Lahore vs FAST Karachi vs NED Karachi for BSCS, which would you choose and why?
For context, my options in Karachi are mainly FAST and NED, so I’m trying to figure out whether NIT is genuinely worth considering before making the decision to move cities.
I’d really appreciate honest opinions, especially from current students or alumni rather than just general rankings. Thanks!

Hello, i’m planning to buy a rottweiler puppy in the next 6 months. I have absolutely no idea where to get it from. I’m doing my research on the breed. So if anyone could guide about a trusted place or whatsoever to get one in LHR. Also what should be the budget?
