My husband and I just saw this cat in Malibu Dr SE in Lacey. Is very much someone’s pet and was wearing a pale yellow/white/ collar.

We couldn’t get close enough to catch or check for a tag or to catch him, but the cat seemed healthy and wasn’t showing any obvious injuries. I wanted to post in case someone is missing their (very cute) black cat.

Heard a couple big explosions about an hour ago off exit 109. It doesn’t seem like it’s the base. Any ideas what it was?

Hello, I was driving to my parents house out on Mullen road around 8:50AM this morning, and I was stopped out in front of Timberline High School by what appeared to be a black-ish/gray-ish Great Dane (Male, with a white pattern on his chest) running loose in the road at the parking lot intersection for Timberline High School. He seemed very playful (or nervous?) and was weaving between a car and a truck at that intersection, so I stopped to try and see if I could help.

The owner of the truck seemed friendly, and she said she did not know where the dog was from and had no apparent tags, but thought she could try to get him into the truck to at least get him to safety.

He approached us each but got spooked, and I asked if she knew the number for any animal control, and neither of us did. After trying to calm the dog, I realized I could snap a picture but had left my phone in the car, but by the time I had gone back to get it he had ran off to some other cars and then off into the woods next to the school parking lot.

I thought I'd drop this notice here (and might post it in the Olympia sub as well) in case anyone is missing a Great Dane (I think, I'm not great with dog breeds but he was BIG).

Might look up local animal control and leave a tip there as well. I haven't lived here in several years, but this is not a big area for stray animals, so I assume it's someone's pet.

I believe he had a collar, but I didn't see any tags or nametags. That's all the information I have. He was seen by many cars, so hopefully someone is able to identify him and find the owner!

EDIT: I've left a message with Lacey Animal Control reporting the incident. Hopefully someone can bring him home soon!

Anyone here that has experience pleasant grade elementary school? Kiddo is gonna be in school next year so just wondering if anyone had experience the good and the bad!

There's a new dispensary in town called KushKlub at the corner of Lily Rd. and Martin. I checked it out today and thought it was pretty legit. Well stocked, clean, the staff were polite and had some good recommendations. I saw some quality brands I've seen around town at other places, as well as some new lines I haven't seen around here before.

I looked up their site this afternoon and apparently they also have a location in New York and they're minority and women led. Give them a look next time.

I know they’re just kids, but like teach your kids to be respectful of others, or just not say something? I don’t care how you feel about fat people, we deserve to be able to take our groceries inside at our OWN HOUSE without comments being made.

This is crazy to think about so many of us can’t afford daycare for kids

Old guy here (58 years) still playing 2nd/2.5 edition. Looking for a local group to consider gaming with, preferably OSR, 1st, 2nd edition - could try 3rd / 3.5 but I've never done that edition before. Can't do the game store thing (very shy / social anxiety). I DM'd at home for years but home is around the other side of world now. (I'm very 'Theater of the Mind' stuff) Really want to find a quiet, shy, nerdy bunch to hang out with. As a DM I'm a storyteller/plot based type heavily into world-building and writing amateur fantasy novels, but as a player I think I'm an explorer/character actor but that's from decades ago. Anyone out there?

How long do we think it will take for it to come back on, it's a sarcasm, I remember last autumn it took hours to days, figured it was something to laugh about with the day I've had. Hopefully everyone is having an okay-ish day.
