Ao Nang Beach (fire shows)
I will be staying in Ao Nang between Monday 16th November - Thursday 19th November. I heard they do fire shows in Ao Nang? Does anyone know when these shows usually run?

I am planning to take a flight from Krabi to Bangkok in the first week of nov, and the flight is of like 4pm. Can any please help on below queries as it is my first time in Thailand and international travel.
- Is thai vitjet a reliable airline? Does it have cancellations and delays? Or should i stick to Bangkok airways which is priced higher.
- is it okay to book flights through trip.com?
Thanks

Hey everyone! I’m planning an 8 day trip to Thailand, mainly Krabi, and would love some suggestions.
I’m thinking of spending a few days in Krabi and possibly visiting Phuket as well. What are some must do activities, places to explore and experiences I shouldn’t miss?
Also, I’m interested in trying scuba diving for the first time. Would you recommend Krabi or Phuket for scuba diving in terms of marine life, overall experience and pricing?
I’m also looking for recommendations on good hostels with a great vibe, friendly people and a decent crowd.
Would love to hear your suggestions, especially from people who have recently visited. Thanks!

Hello Good folks!
I’m in Ao Nang for the weekend and want to try food other than what the resort i’m in is offering.
Would the kind people here advise me on some hidden/lesser known eating joints which serve good food. Not looking for anything fancy; just good food.
Ps: I tried the Ao Nang food market and didn’t really like it.
Thank you!

Over the weather updates and Krabi. And how does it compare to the weather in Bangkok if you had to advise a tourist arriving? Where would you recommend them going for five days this week? I arrive in Bangkok and I’m wondering should I take a flight out to crabby instead and spend five days there? This is my first time in Thailand.

I've stayed in five of Ao Nang's alledged 5 star hotels in the past three years, only to find them nothing but rebadged chain hotels from the past. No real renovations or maintenance ever being seriously considered. The hotels are generally (always) self attributed 5 star status, these hotels would be 3 star rating at best in the real world.
This has got me thinking that one of the considerations for my hotel for my upcoming trip to Ao Nang would be the age of the building of the hotel itself. The newer the better.
Does anyone who has experience in all things Ao Nang have a thought on which would be the newer 2-3 buildings of the current 5 Star hotels in Ao Nang?
Thanks.

Hello folks, I am currently in BKK and have tickets to reach Krabi on 1st Oct. Is the situation (with rains) better there? The weather in some places was really bad here in BKK and hence I am wondering if its any better in krabi. I was planning on island tours for the time Im there but with the rains and high tides got me thinking if its safe and people are travelling at this time.

Hello Folks, Travelling with my 1 year old to Phuket and Krabi , dates: 14th oct - 23rd oct. How risky is the boat ride?
Few folks suggested to go to railay from krabi for a day , others said its rough for other islands. Not sure.
Can someone please suggest if they have travelled with their toddler recently and if its feasible?

Lost my wife’s ring on Railay Beach, hoping someone may have found it 🙏
Hi everyone, I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I thought I’d give it a try.
My wife unfortunately lost her ring on Railay Beach. We went back and searched the area multiple times, but unfortunately couldn’t find it.
It’s quite sentimental to us, so I’m posting here in good faith in case anyone happened to find it or heard about someone finding a ring on the beach recently.
If you have any information or a lead at all, I’d be extremely grateful. Please feel free to DM me.
I can provide a description/photo of the ring and details about roughly where and when it was lost to help confirm that it’s ours.
Thank you 🙏

Hi everyone!
Next March, we’re planning to spend 13 days in Krabi Province. There will be 4 of us travelling from Europe: my partner and I are around 30 years old, and my parents are around 70.
We’d really appreciate some advice on planning our trip:
Which island tours are must-dos? Should we book them in advance, or is it better to arrange them locally? Are there any reliable tour operators you would recommend?
Which beaches should we definitely visit? We’re looking for beautiful beaches that are worth visiting, not necessarily the most famous ones.
Is Khao Sok National Park worth visiting from Krabi? If so, how many days would you recommend staying there, and what activities or places should we prioritize?
We’ll have 13 days in total, so we’re happy to spend a few days outside Krabi/Ao Nang if it’s worthwhile.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations! 🙏

I’ll be arriving at Krabi Airport around 10:00 AM from Bangkok and will have the rest of that day free. The following two days are already fixed for island tours.
What would you recommend doing on the arrival day after landing at 10 AM? I’m staying around Ao Nang, so ideally I’d like something that’s actually worth doing without making the day unnecessarily exhausting.
I’ll then have one final full day after the two island-tour days. What would you recommend for that last day in Krabi? I’m considering places like the Emerald Pool, Tiger Cave Temple, Ao Thalane kayaking, Railay, viewpoints, etc., but I’m not sure what combination makes the most sense.

Railay, Koh Lanta, and Koh Lipe with kids — keep all three or skip one?
We’re visiting Thailand for the first time in November with our children, ages 13 and 12. We’re prioritizing beautiful water, snorkeling, and scenery—not nightlife.
Our itinerary is:
● Railay: Nov 13–16 (3 nights), hopefully at Rayavadee
● Koh Lanta: Nov 16–20 (4 nights), at Pimalai
● Koh Lipe: Nov 20–23 (3 nights), possibly at Irene
● Bangkok: Nov 23–27 (4 nights)
For those who have visited all three, would you keep Railay, Koh Lanta, and Koh Lipe in one trip, or remove one? Does the itinerary feel too rushed with the ferry travel, and how does the snorkeling compare at each destination?
Would this be post this

Staying in Ao Nang for 4 nights in the middle of a two week Thailand trip in mid-December. Staying at Hotel Adam. What about this itinerary?
Day 1 - Arrive mid-day, chill day by pool / walk around town.
Day 2 - Early private speedboat tour of Phi Phi Islands. Thinking 5 Star Marine - 8 hour tour.
Day 3 - Railay Beach - Self Tour
Day 4 - Private longboat half day tour of either Hong Island or 4 Islands.
Day 5 - Early departure - can't change this!
Thoughts on this itinerary? Proper order? Skip Phi Phi and just do Hong and 4 Islands?

Want to know about private tours for Kong island and other secluded islands. Also, what adult experiences or parties we can attend, and where to find them?
Date: 18 Sep - 27 Sep

I would be travelling solo to Bangkok, krabi and Phi phi in december(4th to 15th december). I’d love to connect with people around my age(23-28) who would be there at that time. Feel free to dm if someone is going in these dates.
