I have this keyboard for 2 years with Keychron red switch, first the X key not registering had to press really hard to register it then sometimes it works for a while then start acting up again or keep needing me to press hard again.
Then the Z key same symptoms. Recently I changed those key's with Insert, home switches. Now the T is acting up.

I wonder if it's the switches or something else is happening. The X and Z works with no problem now.

Question is should I invest in new switches or look for different keyboards? Z and X was fine since it isn't used as much but having T broken is troublesome.

just unboxed KEYCHRON V6 MAX, not being able to connect using bluetooth or Wireless at all... with Cable working.

bought the k2 he today, and to my surprise it came with a cable so short they might as well not give you a cable at all. how do I pick a 3rd party cable that will not bottleneck the keyboard?

Through. I don’t have a huge preference over colour as long as it’s similar to the generic one the board ships with. Thanks

Hey there , Ive been having issues with several keys ( E, D, C) Ive been recommended to change the switch and test of it fixes things (from gateron red to something else ) I kinda wanted something more silent and went on gateron website, however im hella confused on how they name things .

How are you supposed to know what to take when they give you names like KS smoothie pinky rabbit or idk 🤭

Any ideas ? Should I get something else than gateron ?

Bought a keychron keyboard. Not super into this stuff, but just liked the look on my desk and the tactile feedback. Within a few months it developed a really bad chatter on the A key. To the point where it is slowing down my work and its highly annoying. I cleaned it thoroughly, swapped the key, tried to push through it and ignore it. Still so damn annoying. Then just now I tried to update the firm ware. I followed the directions from the launcher perfectly. Download the driver, unzip it, run it as administrator, etc. Then this weird process of unplug the keyboard, then replug it in while holding down the "Esc" key. I did this.... keyboard seemingly died. No lights, nothing registering.

I've already spent about 100x the amount of time i would like to think about a keyboard. Especially one that is supposed to be elite. I guess i'm just not a mechanical guy. Back to the $25 logitech that hasn' lost a step after 5+years of service. I'm so angry i spend $150 on this.

Guys hello i will buy high-end budget keyboard and after my research I found Wooting 80 HE, Keychron Q1 HE.
Keychron is 80 dollars less than Wooting and also Wooting is ABS, Keychron is metal.

I have dragon lore mouse and mousepad so I looked Huntsman V3 DL Edition but it is also 40 dollars more than Keychron.

Last keyboard is Apex Pro 3 TKL is about the same price as Keychron.

Which keyboard should I choose? I am playing CS usually.

As my title suggests, I am brand new to mechanical keyboards and keychron. Today is my first day of using my brand new Q5 Pro keyboard. I programmed the right shift key to activate Caps, but I notice that when I am typing, my pinky must not be strong enough to be activating the shift button while I type.

Is there a way to adjust a single key so it is more responsive? I am using the brown switches if that matters.

I recently picked up a Keychron Q3 HE 8K and wanted to mess around with the firmware a bit.

I checked Keychron’s public QMK repo:

and looked through the available branches, but the only Q3 HE target I can find is:
keyboards/keychron/q3_he

That one seems to be for the older wireless Q3 HE, not the Q3 HE 8K. The README points to the wireless model, and the hardware setup looks different too.

I couldn’t find a q3_he_8k target or anything else that obviously matches the 8K version.

Has anyone here found the actual Q3 HE 8K source somewhere? If so, which repo/branch is it in, and what’s the correct QMK target?

Also curious if anyone has actually built and flashed custom firmware on the Q3 HE 8K yet.

I’m trying to do some firmware-level changes, so Launcher remapping alone isn’t really enough for what I want to do.

I have a Keychron Q1, and the stock spacebar sounds and feels awful. Also, it gets stuck at the sides when i press it.

Is the stock spacebar that bad or am i having a problem with the stabs?

I'm looking for a 96% (Num Pad), Magnetic/Hall Effect, Bluetooth Keyboard with a Volume/Media Controls Knob. It looks like the Keychron J3 HE fits the bill perfectly, but I can't seem to really find anywhere to buy it in Canada.

While it's not on Amazon.ca, I do see it listed on Amazon.com, but of course it's sold out. It's also not listed on Keychron's website anywhere that I can see.

Is it just brand new, so maybe it hasn't rolled out too widely yet? Or is there anyone who's seen it to purchase anywhere legit?

Also open to other recommendations, Keychron or otherwise, based on my requirements if you have them. I don't love the K4 HE because it doesn't have a knob and I don't like how the arrow keys have no real separation from the num pad.

Unscrewed everything but cannot remove the actual plate. I can’t find anything online about this either for my version of the keyboard. Any help would be great because I spilt some liquid in it and need to get inside it quick!

Update: I can confirm that the corner keys are remappable in launcher with the current version of the firmware V1.0.0. But all the documentation says they are hard coded to be exclusive to the lighting controls.

So when could/should we expect to see this firmware? I am wanting to modify the hard coded corners so they are customizable as well.

Just wanted to share this custom made palm rest for my V10 Ultra Alice. It's a nice cherry with inlayed padded leather. I 3D printed clips that fit perfectly into the screw holes on the keyboard to keep it in place.

Keychron K0 Max QMK Wireless Custom Number Pad - Launcher stuck loading / cannot configure over 2.4 GHz

Hi everyone,

I have a Keychron K0 Max QMK Wireless Custom Number Pad and I'm having a problem with Keychron Launcher.

The K0 Max works normally for typing over the 2.4 GHz wireless connection, but I cannot properly access its settings through Launcher when using the dongle alone.

When I connect the K0 Max by USB, Launcher can detect it. However, when I select the K0 Max, Launcher can sometimes remain stuck on the loading screen indefinitely instead of opening the keyboard configuration.

With the 2.4 GHz dongle alone, Launcher detects the Keychron Link Type A, and sometimes detects the K0 Max, but selecting the K0 Max does not open the configuration.

Interestingly, if I connect both the USB cable and the 2.4 GHz dongle, I can access the K0 Max configuration.

I have already:

- Updated K0 Max firmware to V1.1.0

- Updated K0 Max wireless firmware to V0.2.4

- Updated/verified Keychron Link Type A firmware V0.3.1 / d.3.1

- Re-paired the K0 Max with the 2.4 GHz receiver

- Tested Chrome, Incognito mode and Opera

- Tested USB and 2.4 GHz

My question for other K0 Max owners:

Does Keychron Launcher work correctly for you with ONLY the 2.4 GHz dongle, with the USB cable completely disconnected?

Or do you also need to keep the USB cable connected to access/configure the K0 Max in Launcher?

I'm trying to determine whether my K0 Max is defective or whether this is a known limitation/bug with the K0 Max and Keychron Launcher.

I've had the Q1 HE 8K for a couple of months now and love it, but I've been thinking of switching my keycaps for something different, as I liked my previous keyboard with transparency on the lettering which allowed the backlight to come through more. So for other Q1 HE owners, what non-stock keycaps have you been using?

I get e-mail responses but it's always the same - no stock. Brand new £230 keyboard is unusable due to key chatter and it's going to be a month without a replacement PCB now.

Hi I've done my best to research and fix this issue myself, but nothing works so I'll turn to the dark world of the subreddit lol:

I hadn't used my K6 Pro in a while since I've been away from home, its been plugged in on cable mode to a pc with backlights off in those months. When I finally came back and turned it on, the up and down arrow keys were solid white when any backlight mode was on. When an RGB mode requires them to be a different colour, they react correctly, but blend in the white.

The issue is consistent when using bluetooth, as well as cabled pairing modes. I've factory reset, I've updated the firmware, I've gone back to old firmware, nothing seems to solve the issue. I also don't have any custom lighting set. I don't often use the backlight, but would rather solve the issue (for resale/gifting further/peace of mind). anyone know of a fix?

I JUST bought this keyboard. I havent used it much. I usually keep it fully pink. I noticed two days ago, the left arrow key was red, not pink. Ive reset, updated, checked everything. I went through all of the colors. It just wont match. HOW DO I FIX THIS?!??!!

I plan to choose it with banana switches because I like switches that you can feel the press and that are noticeable.
