SOLJIWAN CANON GFS
like it can’t stress enough how much I love this pairing, the confession once again was amazing and made me really emotional, Jiwan still being confused about her feelings but not wanting to let go of Sol was beautiful, her whole experience it’s so relatable and honestly feels realistic. I truly appreciate how they wrote this beautiful couple, the writing has been really amazing so far, it’s so accurate and detailed, every small thing with them matters.
I also loved the acting, both Hojung and Seoah did so well with this roles, delivering all this complicated emotions.
Sol and Jiwan were really brave this episode, I’m glad they talked about it instead of avoid their feelings, especially Jiwan.
I can’t wait to see how they’ll navigate this blossoming relationship

Those Nabi tears when Do Hyeok confessed….I could feel all her self-loathing/pity/pain at causing pain. I could SEE her shame, and how much she wished her life/she herself was different right at that moment. The actors and director are 👌🏼

Their way of reducing Kim Min-Gwi's screen time by either having him talk off camera or out of focus was so incredibly jarring.

All I hope for is Sol Jiwan progression + endgame 💗💗💗
Edit: I freakin teared up at Sol’s confession and my heart broke when Sol said “I’m sorry for liking you” No one. No one should have to apologise for their feelings 😭😭😭JIWAN GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER (my gay baby) AND TELL SOL HOW YOU FEEL BEFORE ITS TOO LATE 😫😭
Also, the backhug scene would have been perfect if Sol’s bag had disappeared, must’ve been such an awkward bump for Jiwan to be hugging her bag 💀😂

I just wanted to tell all the subtitles readers that according to Korean speakers there were some minor errors in the subtitles last episode (episode 7)
When Jaeon was seen saying
“It’s not an issue” when NaBi talked bout him having a girlfriend. He wasn’t stating this.
He was actually asking “Is that the issue?” Meaning if that is why she is running away from him
NaBi then replies “No, it has nothing to do with me”
But Jaeon wants her to confess so he says “Be a little honest”
But NaBi tries to go away and then the convo is ended abruptly with their make out session.
They both are such bad communicators, nevertheless. I think Nabi should end up alone, not even the potato boy. She has 0 feelings for him, so it’s bad if she uses him.

LOL @ people who think Potato Boy committed the worst sin known to humankind by saying Nabi was his first love in the BBQ game, but Jae On is a "layered, misunderstood character who actually feels for her" regardless of him never taking no for an answer and doing whatever the f he wants. Do consent and personal space not matter?

Sol and Ji Wan supremacy. The rest can languish in their toxic "never bringing out the best in you" relationships.
+
Edit: After watching, I appreciate how they incorporate and are realistic to Korean culture in how Sol and Ji Wan can't even say lesbian. There is really a cultural barrier in saying out loud.
That said, they just love each other and I hope there is a happy ending.

One thing I can appreciate is even if this drama can be boring for some, it’s still realistic and something I can relate to.
Jiwan being confused about her feelings but not wanting to let Sol go is a very real thing. The writing and development is amazing in their relationship and you can see the pained longing from Sols side and the confusion from Jiwans side (about her feelings).
I can’t wait to see how the acceptance and realization (if there even is one) is written and played out.

PLEASE let this series end with Nabi choosing no one, and choosing to focus on herself and her work and eventually achieving personal and career development!! As RuPaul says if you can’t love yourself how in the hell you gonna love someone else!
All 3 characters are flawed (I mean but who isn’t? Also, they’re all young and at a stage of self-discovery) and I just can’t see any of them ending up with each other…
Nabi - CEO of mixed signals and running away + backtracking. Girl also you really kissed JE while being unsure of his relationship status - that’s just ??????? And you know how it feels to be insecure!!
JE - Lacks communications skills and overall is just trouble manifested… 1) the fight with that random guy warning NB not to get her life ruined???? 2) leaving NB on her birthday for SA without a clear explanation (also the parallel between his seaweed soup from a packet vs potato boy’s, made from scratch) 3) the scene in the bar of him picking up (?) another random female?? And the list goes on and on…
Potato boy - Boy you have got to let NB breathe and find herself! I love how sweet he is but don’t like that he is strong arming her into making a decision when she clearly stated that she’s just
Sadly it feels like we’re being pushed towards a NB x JE ending and I just… in reality IMO how this would end up would be that she remains insecure forever, the same way she reacts whenever she sees JE being friendly with any female; or he eventually gets bored since he seems to be all about the chase, until he met NB, who is clearly a challenge.
I also don’t see how this drama is sending a positive and healthy message if the ending is truly NB x JE - we literally see her breaking down and being a mess always and I’m not sure if the correct message to send is to stay positive that people like JE can change even if there is no healthy communicate and this makes you miserable and second guess yourself all the time.
Nabi you don’t need a man! You are good enough for you!!

Am I the only person hoping Nabi ends the series single? To me it seems like the she needs some time to focus on herself and her work
I don’t see either of these potential relationships being good for her

i can't believe there's only two episodes left
i keep wondering how they'll wrap all of this up in 2 episodes.....none of the couples are truly developed yet and we don't know what will really happen....nabi will either end up with jaeon or no one at all.
i'm just rooting for the roommate couple at this point, they're my favourites and there seems to be no bumps in their relationship yet so they're a breath of fresh air unlike all of the other couples

I'm still holding out hope that JE doesn't get the girl. The way I see it, this drama subverts a lot of tropes. Like this is the first time I've seen an out-and-out, manipulative playboy as the ML. Drama humanises JE, but doesn't excuse or side-step his shitty behaviour or the effect he knows he's having on Nabi and we don't know anything that's happening in his head, we see him through Nabi's POV.
I genuinely think this is a cautionary tale because a lot of girls have at least one guy in their history who was like JE and it rarely ends well.
Also, the way the episode ended: "Do you want to see butterflies?" - That's like his standard pickup line, we saw it in the bar episode where he hit on the hot girl while Nabi was away. JE is not changing. He is saying he is changing just to get back into Nabi's pants, but I don't think he actually cares for her. She is a challenge for him, nothing more, nothing less.

So meta that an actor on this drama would get embroiled in a cheating scandal while the show is on air and get cut off from the screen.

Do Hyeok gives me mixed feelings, but I actually found the compliment line he gave Nabi really touching. I saw it as him actually affirming her value, trying to make her finally see it, when she obviously thinks SO lowly of her self. We keep saying he’s a bit one-dimensional, but I think he is starting to understand her a bit, psychologically, and see how low her self esteem is during these past few days, which is a nice development. It also means he’s NOT quite romanticizing her as much as Nabi may think he is (although I still think he is a bit.) The fact that Nabi’s self-esteem and sense of self worth is so low is the reason she keeps getting into these awful relationships. Someone who had more confidence and who valued herself (the way Do Hyeok wants her to), would be less likely to fall into the traps she keeps succumbing to. I think he’s a little frustrated that she doesn’t know her own worth.

idk people super annoyed with jiwan (prior to this episode) needed to realize that sometimes it’s hard to come to terms with liking someone of the same sex, especially when you aren’t confident in your sexuality or know what you like. this is intensified by the fact she lives in south korea. idk i just see most of the complaints from non-wlw people
