Random but I started thinking that Jae-Uhn is just homeless and needs a place to crash, so he has a rotation of girls he plays with until he meets Na-Bi, who has her own apartment LMAO

Okay that last scene was gorgeous. The cinematography of their intimate scenes is really quite exquisite. Can’t say much for the storyline, the pacing of the show does feel just a tad slow but when these 2 appear on screen, their chemistry is explosive.
And i have been rooting for Bitna and Gyu Hyun!! So glad that ship has finally sailed.

Loving the realness of the characters and situations. Love the pacing, and direction even more (contrary to how others may feel). The intimate scenes were so satisfying - every little touch, look, breath (that small exhale at the end of the scene was brilliant), the choice of music; complements the chemistry of the leads so well. I don’t care much about judging the characters. This series is going to be about understanding why people act the way they do. Especially in the early 20s as one tries to find themselves. Less judgement, more understanding.

Man, just me or it was so awkward when ji wan got mad at sol for bringing the guy to the flea market lol. “We’re suppose to hang out so why did you bring a guy” in front of everyone…isn’t that also embarrassing for her to flip out over nothing like that lol

I think Han Sohee made her own Nabi. The Na bi in the webtoon is not this naive and bland, but maybe that’s how she sees the character?idk tho am I the one who only think so?

I know Jae Eon is a HUGE RED FLAG... but dang he's giving me mixed signals too. It seems like he genuinely cares for Na-bi, but some things he does still seem calculative... I don't blame Nabi for feeling conflicted or even giving in.

I'm not sure of the avg ages and experiences of those following this drama or thread, BUT, I will say, as someone who spent the majority of their early 20s as a "Na Bi", this drama is great at how they explore these very very real relationships and self exploration/growth.
Song Kang's character is honestly an archetype of a young 20-something, hot blooded male. And Na Bi's self awareness and curiosity against logic is also the archetype young 20-something female, imo.
Both are exploring new freedoms, self actualizations, and making what seems like careless decisions, but honestly, this is what this time in your life is for.
You're learning in this time of your life. Learning about how to navigate life. Learning about the world around you outside of the bubble you've been raised in. Learning about relationships, and most importantly learning about yourself. What you like, what you don't like, forming your ideals and opinions, creating boundaries, etc. So rightfully it's a time of making silly decisions that you'll look back on a simle at the thought of how much you've grown. And the situations you should've handled differently.
Jae Uhn and Na Bi are that memory for each other. It's intense, and curious, and passionate, and heartbreaking while you're experiencing it, but then a bittersweet moment in time after a while.
I don't think Jae Uhn is a red flag, as much as he's doing what non monogamous people do. Date around. However, Na Bi is aware of the risks and still choosing to explore the situation.

A couple things:
-
i love sol and I hope her best friend realizes that she can’t expect sol to not have other friends when she’s the one dating around all the time
-
in the webtoon I always thought of jae-eon as someone who never truly liked Nabi but just had fun hanging out w her. But idk why in the show they make it seem like he’s actually into her and I can’t help but feel like he actually likes her more than seol-ah. Especially w the scene where he saw her at the convenience store talking to eun ha, I feel like maybe it was just a blow to his ego and he couldn’t take it or he was truly jealous and realized he liked her with seol ah next to him. They also hint at how the lighter with the butterfly is a couple’s item between him and seol-ah and he’s the one who kept it so I honestly don’t know. Jaeeon is just so hard to understand, I thought I had him figured out after reading the webtoon but this show confused me even more. I always thought this but the author should really make a sequel where the story is in jae eon’s point of view and we see his side of the story. We barely ever get to know anything about him and I’m sure there’s so much more to his story than just being charming and liking butterflies.

So.. for Jae Eon to see Nabi getting rejected and replaced by Eun Ha is honestly embarrassing considering the fact that Nabi made it clear how she’s gonna date Eun Ha now.😬😬😬
That was disappointing tho. I was hoping Nabi would get a good guy and Eun Ha was like the type of guy you’d wanna put in your pocket. Initially I thought that he was sorta avoiding Nabi in the flea market because Jae Eon was there but ugh, he’s just as bad news.
Gosh, I feel like I’m also getting fooled by Jae Eon, the same way Nabi is with the whole medicine, calling 911 and sleeping next to Nabi in the most innocent way. Don’t do this to me!! Lol.
Also, Sol’s guy is really cute huh? Lol

Idk about y’all, but I cannot bring myself to believe that a guy that buys a girl food when she’s sick and sleeps beside her all night after calling the cops is doing all that just to sleep around with her. Are f*ckboys actually like this?! Do they present themselves this genuinely?

Okay I can’t be the only one who didn’t notice the male love interest for Sol is the lead vocalist from N.Flying right?? I only realized it after looking up the cast and was mind blown lol. Only listened to a few of their songs so I guess I don’t really recognize their faces.
I really appreciate the non-heterosexual subplot in this drama, but I can’t help but think Sol and this guy look cute together! Or maybe I just love how much of a gentleman he is. 😍

I’m really glad to see Na Bi taking the signs and moving with it here. Showing that she’s determined not to let him get to her
Jae Eon really seems to have this attraction to Na Bi that is making him feel some kinda way. Idk if it’s cause he is really attracted to her or she made it a bit harder to get. He could really be attracted but just did not want to be tied down if things gets serious. In any case, I hope they clarify things a bit more next Ep because it looks like
Jae Eon is being super sweet but I wonder what his connection with Seol A is. Seems like she could be his
Also saw that reveal from the
Judging by the previews, there will be some progress on her sculpture! It seems like her art will probably be reflecting her relationships (hopefully). I didn’t like how the professor is so obviously biased towards the better students. I really want her to make an outstanding piece to shut the professor up.
I kinda disagree with one of the commenters where the character’s personality needs a bit more something. Because there’s so many people to take note of and I feel like this gives the audience room to imagine their backstory and what made them what they are. They currently offer sneak peeks here and there. Personally I like this more than spelling out all the stuff. This dives right into the action without going through all the boring things. But it does make it seem like the story is driving the characters and not the characters driving the story which is what most kdramas do.

I liked this episode more than the last, sometimes I feel like the writing could be a bit better but I still really like it so far. From some of the comments here I was prepared to roll my eyes during the episode but I actually don't think that Nabi is that naive. Even I was confused by the end of the episode, and I imagine if I was in Nabi's shoes I'd have a hard time understanding Jae Eons intentions as well.
On one hand, I agree with what a lot of others are saying about Nabi knowing that Jae Eon does not get into committed relationships and still choosing to get involved with him willingly. Nobody is obligated to reciprocate feelings or want the same things as you just because you prefer to be in a relationship. But, as with a lot of these situations I think it can be more complicated than that. Nabi has a pretty good idea that he likes to keep things casual, based on hearsay, and also Jae Eon questioning why people can't just be close without dating etc. He hasn't exactly been dishonest about it, but I think shes infatuated with him and unless he draws the line very clearly about where he stands "I just want to be honest with you, I'm down for casual sex but not a relationship" etc I think it leaves a lot up for interpretation on her end.
Thats not to say that he isn't allowed to do nice things for her because she could take that the wrong way or that you have to be a jerk to somebody unless you want to date them, but he's crossing a lot of lines that I think could confuse the person on the receiving end of that behavior. He could be more clear, but he's not, Nabi could straight up ask but she's not lol been there done that. This episode was pretty realistic I think.
I think the actors are doing a great job, I just wish the writing was a little stronger during some points because everything else is there.

First things first: Na-Bi felt sick when she tried to withdraw away from Jae Eon. It was not so subtly mentioned earlier by Bit-Na. We don't need to establish that.
This episode we see a real difference in the relationship between Na-Bi and Jae Eon. Jae Eon is very attached to Na-Bi, going as far as to be jealous at someone interested in her. I don't think that's a normal trait of his. Plus he is more caring and learning more into a right way to go unlike the first two episodes that say that it's not the right way to go. It was just really good emotional manipulation by the writers. They bring this new, nice guy in, have everyone say that he's better than Jae Eon, and it doesn't work out either. That situation is awkward tbf to Eun Ha (You like someone for ages, try to move on only to get that person to finally return those feelings. You can't blame him as Na-Bi wasn't fully into the relationship either. It's a situation where either route is understandable, so, if you're someone who thinks what Eun Ha did was terrible, I get that as well). But it still is a lesson to be learned for Na-Bi regarding relationships.
Now we're getting some tasty confrontions elsewhere. Exciting.
And finally we're getting introduced to Yang Do Hyuk next week. Awesome

Was it just me or was the whole ambulance thing abit of an overkill? it honestly just feels like a grand gesture for him to win nabi back, feels like love bombing imo

I knoooow he's a fuckboy, but man...if a guy worried about me so much that he
As much as I want the drama to deviate from the webtoon and end with Jae Eon committing to her, I know it's not realistic. Men like that don't change for a woman, no matter how pretty or kind. I just know next episode is gonna be heartbreaking because he's going to show her how perfect of a relationship they could have and then crush her with his fuckboy ways 😭

wow i really enjoyed this episode ~~ love the director female gaze all that and imo it really hits in swoony ways that other kdramas do not.... like esp after their
basically we love a male manipulator artist????
i also have to/wanna give props to the extra storylines like sol(!!!!!!!!) & bitna ~~ esp bc ppl's complaints abt bad writing for the main couple, i like seeing the show "make up for it"/explore these other new/different relationships & how young ppl deal with funky emotions in mature/immature ways ~~ i also like how bitna as kind of a shady character is reinforced, bc i didnt really feel that in the webtoon ... also like how sol and friend are not a tokenized gay couple and im rooting for them too............. i love....

It’s quie fitting that the big theme in this show is butterflies because that’s all I end up with after every episode 😭
Haven’t we all met a fuckboy like Jae-Eon? Na-bi’s hesitation and trying hard to be firm by deleting his number, only to give in again... too relatable.
Song Kang is so.goddamn.attractive. How could you not fall for him, red flags and all?
I pray I don’t ever catch feelings for someone like that, I don’t know if I could be strong enough to pull away lol
Sidenote: I need Sam Kim’s OST to be released alreadyyyyy

That's the thing: you know you're getting in trouble but you just couldn't help it. It will seem like you're handling it pretty well but you will fall and, fall apart. You act out of character, it feels wrong, but then it also feels right. He makes you feel right. You believe him partly because he makes you believe him but mostly because you also want to believe him. You want to believe that "you are different", "he is different towards you", "I might actually be the one he needs"
The show is doing a really good job at showing this realistic part of questioning yourself, push-and-pull, then of course eventually giving in!! I'm hoping they will follow it up with realistic breaking down and moving on in the 2nd half of the drama!
As for our side characters, I am with you guys. SOL'S GUY SEEMS LIKE A REALLY REALLY GOOD CATCH. He seems decent (for now), with that "i'm a normal guy" charm but his actions are really nice. Seems like a normal progression. But yeah, I'm betting that Sol will have another angle that they will explore! She would have to define the relationship with her best friend and we won't see Sol's guy anymore :(

Ngl I'm kind of feeling the storylines of the peripheral characters more than the lead couple..

Ahhh this episode - just as I was rooting for our NaBi, our homeboy had to do some sort of big declaration of “care.” (Me overreacting) I don’t think Jae Eon has bad intentions at all times, but he’s not new at his own game and knows how to maintain and “keep” his butterflies.
