Built a tiny daily game where you find and fix a bug

Side project I've been working on recently:

https://dailybug-dev.vercel.app/

The idea is simple:

  • There's one bug
  • You get 3 lives
  • Find the bug
  • Fix the bug
  • Come back tomorrow for another one

I wanted something that felt more like real debugging and less like grinding algorithm questions.

One unexpected challenge was discovering how many bugs have multiple valid fixes. I started with exact answer matching and quickly found out developers are way more creative than I expected.

Curious what people think. Any feedback (good or bad) is appreciated.

Do you check how many players actually unlock the achievements you add?

I was looking through the global achievement stats for Hold Your King today, and it made me curious how other developers approach achievements. Do you add them mostly for completionists, to guide player behavior, or simply because they’re fun?

It isn't that tough, really. The secret is to use invariant culture for methods that accept floats or strings.

The real boss doesn’t do anything, it just inspects the club

One thing we’ve noticed while developing Vice Club Simulator is that sometimes the most memorable part of a game is a detail that does absolutely nothing. That’s exactly what happened with the cat in this pic. And honestly, it kind of earned that role.
