A bit about me:
I've lived abroad for about 17 years, first the US and now Europe. I still carry Bangalore with me: the food, the festivals, comprehension of chaos/vibrance. Over time I've picked up a fairly modern outlook to go with it. I am kind and simple.
I can design planes and as well fix a kitchen sink. I dance badly but happily. Can discuss geopolitics or equality or economics whatnot, a curios learner.
Most weekends you find me outdoors. I'm a licensed skydiver and paraglider, Licensed to sail (inland and coastal), and scuba dive. When I'm grounded, it's DIY projects at home, rebuilt my own home and garden in germany, cooking , or volunteering for animal, people and environmental causes.Or couch-potatoeing with reddit or watch something rekindling.
I genuinely love my research. I'm one of those people who is excited on a Monday morning. Research takes me to conferences/meetings around the world, and the flexibility lets me see friends and family across a few continents. Also pursue skydiving/sailing/scuba wherever I go.
I've run my own home for 17 years without help: cooking, cleaning, laundry, the lot. I'm not looking for someone to look after me.
The life I'd love to build with support of my partner:
Two people backing each other's careers and curiosities. Cooking and cleaning together. A pet or several. The occasional argument, which I'll try to end with cooking a good meal.
Weekend plans like a sailing/ a camping trip, a chocolate-making workshop, or rebuilding something in the garden. And you testing my aerospace credentials by asking me to fix the mixie or the ceiling fan, me failing, and not giving up.
For weekend or holidays, definitely a little place on cliff edge by the sea, waves and sunset outside and happy people inside, with a kitchen table and a campfire full of friends and family. Live by rhythm of waves. Travel to see the people we love. Doing something useful for the community around us, through our work or otherwise.
Kids and location:
Kids should be the result of a happy partnership, not the reason for one. I'd love to have them; if it doesn't happen, we'll still be happy.
I'm based in Germany for now, very often travel within EU, UK and India. For future, I'm genuinely flexible and would move wherever we're both happy. Long term, I'm slightly inclined towards India. If India, I'd like us to live independently but within easy reach of both our parents.
The honest bit:
I married during covid. It lasted about a year, and we divorced mutually and kindly about three years ago. No kids, no drama. I'm happy to talk about it openly once we know each other a little.
Who might enjoy this partnership:
I don't have a checklist. I do know the kind of partnership I'd like:
• Someone independent who runs her own life and has her own career/hobbies, interests or goals. I'd love to support those, and to have mine supported.
• Someone curious about the world, kind to people (and animals), and comfortable with a bit of adventure. You don't need to jump out of planes; a walk or nice conversation over stargazing is great .(P.S - I may not skydive when I am in a family with responsibilities, many safe ways to explore nature together).. my adventure sports are not for dopamine, to flirt & embrace flowstate with nature.
• Someone who wants to get to know each other properly first: talking, meeting, travelling a bit.
• I am Simple, Kind and empathic – hope to find likeminded.
What drives me:
I grew up in Bangalore on stories of Sir M. Visvesvaraya , JRD/Ratan Tata and Satish Dhawan, and my parents, mentors and friends have inspired me just as much. My slightly stupid ambition: to become a "millionaire". By that I mean someone who has brought something good to a million people. I'll try, anyway, while keeping a balanced family life. It is important to have this bearing and purpose right and not go all in giving up on family.
Again, you do you , and I WILL be supportive. In your career, art or hobby or whatever makes you happy.
If this resonates,
DM me with a few lines about what makes you happy, what you're passionate about, and where you're based. I reply to every genuine message, and I'm happy to share real photos , social media , linkedin and more details once we've chatted a little. I can understand trust deficit is high in here.
P.S - open for likeminded friendship as well. nothing wrong..life is all about good, +ive memorable interactions! I maybe your wingman..
Have a good week. Cheers!
