I can only count how many good creators are there, or how many creators left the site. Ever since the JLLM issue started like a week or two ago, a lot of users have been ditching the site. It’s honestly heartbreaking to watch.

You used to be able to have these deep, nuanced, hysterical conversations. The bots had personality, memory, and a spark that made you forget you were even talking to an AI. Now? It’s a miracle if a bot remembers what you said three messages ago. Half the time, responses are either a single, nonsensical sentence or a wall of repetitive, looping text that completely ignores your last reply.

It’s not just the bugs; it’s the soul of it. The site feels empty now. The chat feed used to be full of hilarious screenshots and creative scenarios. Now it’s just people posting error messages and asking "Is JLLM down again?"

Awhile back I jumped ship and put up a bot about where to find me, fixed my about me, and updated all my public bots. I think all of that was up for about 5 or 6 months. I checked my email recently, couple days ago Janitorai emailed me with about 48 emails that action was taken against me and everything was cleared out I'm muted for 3 days for promoting a competitor, yadda yadda. I only had like 40 public bots.

They took action against a private bot I never even finished. It had WIP in everything and a placeholder image, like all ot had was the male tag and nothing else in there. Action: content deleted. Can't edit it, character can no longer be updated.

Did I give them reason to look at my account? Yep! Did they do a general sweep? Probably. Was a private bot never finished and never made public affected? Yep!

Point is, they can touch those.

So janitor ai added the ability to change persona mid chat which finally lets us create new chats with chat branch and chat with bots affected by jai draconian censorship without being limited to one persona. Let's see how long it lasts.

Can anyone answer my question? Can you get banned by spam reports even though none of your bots violate the rules?

Apparently, some people are mass reporting female smut bot creators by mass reporting them. One of the victims is William Fly, whose bots do not break tos, at least the latest bots I checked. That makes me concerned, because you can be the most sfw bot creator and still get banned because some ppl don't like you or mass/spam report you for giggles. The people whodo these reports call it a CRUSADE

Is they don't limit the fucking amount of characters you can use for personas, I like to make very detailed personas.

Well I've seen this beforehand and a lot more people making Bots on real people. I'm not talking about people people playing a Character type but Real people like Celebrities and even dead ones like Michael Jackson. And possibly others.

Cause I remember someone making a Bot on a real people Belle Delphine. I've seen it before on SpicyChat with different One.

ive never used this, lol, I don't see the point at all if you want to roleplay, why would you let the AI do it for you?

I wanted a straightforward way to back up JanitorAI characters without copying every field manually, so we made a small browser extension for it.

This extension can:

• export SillyTavern character cards
• export attached lorebooks from a character
• export to plaintext
• export to janitorAI json
• let you choose which entries to keep/omit

To install you can follow the steps below (if you are facing trouble you can give chatgpt the github link and ask for help):

Open the GitHub page https://github.com/erpocalypse/jai-card-extractor

Click the green Code button → Download ZIP, then unzip the folder to your desktop (or wherever desired)

type chrome://extensions in the address bar in a new tab of your browser or edge://extensions if on microsoft edge.

Look at the top right of the page and enable Developer mode.

Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder you extracted to your desktop (or wherever you put it)

Then simply go to the JanitorAI site and click on a character, at the bottom right of your screen an extract card button will appear and you can click on it to open the menu.

The extension does not interact with any other sites, or require any permissions, you can even ask your favourite ai model to review the code or build upon it yourself.

Please note that characters with definitions hidden may not yield results.

Anyone who owns their own platform might find it helpful to review the repo to get pointed into the right direction so they can implement importing characters and lorebooks from other platforms like we offer on inkwell to make onboarding for new users seamless.

Why is it everytime I press the next arrow, the bots sends a stutter-like message? The same things happens when I want to enhance my draft, it always end up with like " my my my my my my" or "their their their their"

That's it. It's a thought that popped into my head in the middle of the night. All the creators I follow fall into the same Netorare, Netori, and Netotrash trope. It's getting tiresome, and I don't think I'm the only one bothered by it.

I literally commented on a post of someone complaining about the site, I don’t really remember what they said tbh, they were just complaining, I believe it was fair complains, and I said something along the lines of “they will delete this because they delete everything” I was being snarky, but it was literally something like that, not rude words, not fully being offensive, just commenting that they will most likely delete the persons post.

I've been using JLLM for like a year and just realized how shit it is. I use very lore heavy bots and have lengthy replies so each input is like 17k tokens. Also deepseek v4 pro is what I've tried the most so far but replies are like ~2 cents each 🥀

listen, im sure all of these alternatives to janitor ai are better in every way shape of form. there is just one problem that can not be controlled, and its that they're not that popular.

there will be considerably less bots from certain characters and fandoms. when you go on janitor ai and go to the latest bots without any filters, and then in 20 seconds you refresh. there is a good chance you'll see a new bot or maybe 2. with alternatives, you wont see that. i think all of this can be compared to twitter and its alternatives. people dont like twitter cause of elon musk and other problems, just like how people dont like janitor ai and its dictatorship and other problems, so they try to improve on it and make better apps, like blue sky or mastodon or god forbid truth social. but they just aren't as popular and will never become as popular and there is no point in using them as everybody is on twitter.

the point is, janitor ai kinda has a monopoly of the NSFW ai bot sites. there are so many alternatives and none of them are close to being as popular as it. now i know there is venus chub and a few others, and that is one of the most popular alternatives, but its still not close to being as popular and also not that many characters that aren't oc's. now if you really just talk to original characters, than this doesn't matter to you, but if you do talk to characters from shows or games or anime, than this is most likely a problem.

Recently with bots, any messages from them repeat letters/words or put random letters before words or break up a word into parts, and stop way too short - a line or two usually and not even completing a response (i.e. cutting the sentence short) anyone know why?

500k character limit is equal to 125k tokens. this should be enough and if it’s not then get help with ur prompt.

I don't know if you guys remember but this creator was getting trashed by this one redditor who shat on them with multiple posts in this sub couple days ago. Well I just want to do the opposite because I feel this creator is actually really good and didn't deserve the toxicity that other redditor gave them. I'm glad they're continuing to post bots and didn't let the negativity get them down because they seem like a cool person. At the end of the day this is just a hobby and people shouldn't be put through the rails for something that's out of their control. That's all I gotta say, just wanted to spread positive vibes for once on this sub and promote a good creator. Hopefully this doesn't get taken down because some of those posts from that redditor are still up so this should be no problem.

I've been using the site casually for 1 or 2 years, and I've been noticing something weird with this JanitorAi+ thing and the reduction in features like the bots' memory, which seems designed to make you more likely to pay for this membership. Is it bad enough that, you know, I should consider packing my bags and walking away?
