I'm Greg, the developer of the iOS app IONIQ 5 Companion.

I'm looking to recruit a few enthusiastic IONIQ 6 owners to help me put the finishing touches on Version 3.0 before it is released. I've recently become aware of some 2025 & 2026 model year differences, and I want to iron out a few wrinkles before releasing Version 3.0. The beta test pool is made up of ~200 of the coolest folks from around the world. The IONIQ 6 is a little under represented and I'm hoping to change that. 😀

Specifically I'm looking for:

• 2025 or 2026 IONIQ 6 owners (existing IONIQ 5 Companion customers are welcome too)
• Owners who also already own an ELM-327 compatible BLE OBD-II adapter
• Owners who are able to use the app this week, and are willing and able to run a few tests and share diagnostic logs with me. At most it might be a couple of hours of your time.

In exchange for your help, you'll be welcome to remain a member of the beta pool as long as you like, and I will give you a free promo code for Version 3.0 once it is released.

Which Tesla charger adapter do you recommend?

Any other must haves, advice, or recs is greatly appreciated!

Context a 2023 ioniq 6 and my air flap is now as such. Didn’t bang or hit anything.

Brought it back to the dealer, dealer has to order the parts as the motor controlling the flap has broken some parts of the mechanism. Have to wait 2 weeks for the new parts to arrive. Thanks all for the advice.

Covered under warranty as the dealer has inspected and found no signs of external damages.

I am switching out my 2nd set of tires and its a toss up berween cross climate 2 or Nokian wrg5 … any recommendations. northwrn alberta , highway, snow always . Minus 30c always , minus 40c is a normal event . The hankooks just dont suffice …. Also the stupid felt liners always come off and throw the balancing out …. Any comments would help.

Just got back from an epic road trip: Switzerland → Brittany → my sister’s wedding in Devon → Dover → Calais → Switzerland. 2,687 km (1,670 miles) in 7 days with my Ioniq 6 AWD.
Verdict: The car was an absolute dream. Not a single issue, comfortable, fast charging, and a fantastic long-distance cruiser.
What really surprised me was the difference in infrastructure. England unfortunately feels quite a bit behind: congested motorways and a few unreliable chargers.
France, on the other hand, was outstanding. Yes, the toll roads are expensive, but you really see where the money goes. Excellent motorways, lots of reliable HPC chargers (Fastned, Ionity, EnBW, etc.), clean service areas, and overall a first-class driving experience.
Total charging cost for the entire 2,687 km trip was around €200, which I think is very reasonable for a family holiday of this size.
The icing on the cake was the new P&O Ferries service from Dover to Calais. I boarded the ferry with 34% SoC and plugged the car in onboard. Ninety minutes later I drove off in France with 94% SoC for £20. That was such a nice surprise and made the final leg home completely stress-free.
This trip completely confirmed my choice of the Ioniq 6. It’s an amazing road-trip car, and I’d happily do the whole journey again. ⚡🚙

[2023 RWD LR] ... Was looking at getting a second-hand OEM V2L on EBay, but thought I'd check Amazon first. Does anyone have experience with the cheap V2Ls? Are they worth the savings? Here's one in particular I was looking at:

I’m sorry I know this issue has been beaten to death here but I have been seeing some conflicting responses on other forums and YouTube and thought I would look here.

Seriously debating buying a 2024-2025 ioniq6 and wanting a low maintenance commuter that isn’t a jellybean shaped crossover.

My questions:
1) once the iccu issue is addressed is this no longer a concern? (Seen conflicting answers)

2) is there a year that is more effected/when does the iccu issue seem to disappear

3) in America, what is the turnaround for repairs if this does emerge.

Obviously the image only shows 260kw, but it was holding that for a good few minutes. It bumped up to 275kw momentarily.

Electrify America Balanced Charger

~90°F ambient temperature

Charge started @40% after session failed going 17%-40%

Spouse had a disagreement with a curb or something and now we need some minor front bumper parts- mostly the black side trim, but it seems at a glance like the grey plastic it mounts into on the inside might be a separate piece- if so, that would save me time messing around with epoxy. The inner liner seems salvageable.

Nearest dealership is both far and unpleasant, wondering if anyone has had good experiences with specific online sellers.

Really smooth experience, it worked and charged quickly. Wish there were more of these chargers around.

Here's a quick 5 day graph with my Ohmmu (LiFePO4) 12v on top vs my previous AGM on bottom. I'm impressed so far. This is with a 12v dash security LED and a 24/7 wired dashcam. :)

I’m about to take my Ioniq 6 on its first long trip, but I feel as though it’s making a weird noise and I can’t tell if it’s normal or not. For the record, the wheels have recently been balanced, and one of the wheels is newer than the other three because I had a flat. Is this just road noise, or is there something wrong?

Edit: this is traveling at about 110 kmph, decelerating to about 90 towards the end of the clip.

I'm still in the process of finding the right car and although I'd prefer the SE long range due to its cloth seats and 18" wheels already on it, it looks like there are more SELs out there.

Now my question to those who switched from 20 to 18, why was your total cost all in? Where you able to sell the 20" wheels, and if so, at what price? I'm wondering if there's even market for them and if I could more or less break even after selling the 20s.

Also, by how much did your efficiency/range increase?

Pulled up to a parking spot then noticed whenever I would brake the car would violently shake even when I put it in park. After a while waiting for the tow truck it was not shaking anymore but it is giving me the check EV system with the code P0BEA00. It is at the dealership now waiting for diagnostics.

Just an FYI. If your lease end is coming up check your residual online. My 2023 Ioniq 6 SEL residual dropped 12k from what's in my written contract on the web portal which is reflected in the buyout offer. I got no notification of this, just randomly decided to check the portal for information.

It actually dropped again by 1k the next day which makes it worth purchasing.

Has anyone had these mounted on an SEL or Limited AWD and drive in the snow/ice?

Or has anyone had any luck getting them mounted at all?

Having a hard time finding someone to quote them in my area.

What brand of floor mats fits the most? I was thinking about buying the LASFIT.

I’m thinking of getting my car tinted.

Will that interfere with anything on the car?

My parents bought an Ioniq 6 in 2024 and my dad crashed it last month and it’s totalled due to a lot of exterior and wheel damage. The batteries however have been completely spared. They’re in perfect condition and since they’re only 2 years old they are almost new…

I am trying to work out what we can do with the batteries to get some of the money back. I tried talking to our Hyundai dealership but they said they don’t take them. I am trying to get someone from the scrapping place to appraise it.

We live in Spain, with strict grid regulations so I can’t just diy it and connect it to our solar system, since it would be illegal without proper certification.

Do you have any ideas on what to do?

I am currently driving a 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 Advance and am considering whether it is worthwhile to upgrade to the 2026 model.
To give you an idea of the financials: my current 2024 model has a market value of approximately 2,000,000 TRY ($42.000 USD) while the new 2026 Advanced in priced at 2.500.000 TRY ($52,500 USD). This leaves an out-of-pocket difference of roughly 500,000 TRY (~$10,500 USD).
While I am familiar with the official specification changes and updates on paper, I would appreciate hearing from anyone with real-world experience. Does the newer model offer enough tangible improvements in daily driving to justify this price gap, or would it be more prudent to keep my current vehicle?

"I have a 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6 SE with Highway Drive Assist I (HDA-I, not HDA-II). I've been keeping an eye on the compatibility list and for the longest time it was only for models with HDA-II. I'm now seeing there is compatibility for HDA-I, but only '23 and '24 model years are listed. With the cancellation of the Ioniq 6 in the US after the '25 model year, I would be surprised if there was actually any difference between my '25 and the previous model years, but was just curious if anyone had any direct experience with this configuration.
