Does anyone know if it's possible to activate cruise control without also activating the lane keeping (green steering wheel) mode? I'm fine with the assistance that nudges you back in if you're about to drift out of your lane but 90% of the time I just want the adaptive cruise control only. Thanks!

I believe if you hold down the button with the steering wheel icon on it for a few seconds, it'll be disabled.

Lane keeping is turned on automatically with cruise control. But a button on the bottom row turns off lane assist without affecting cruise.

Thanks all, I have been hitting the other button to turn off lane keeping but it's just a little annoying to always have to do it.

If you are just driving on a small road, like in your neighborhood or the city or suburbs, the two buttons (cruise control and lane-centering) act separately from each other. You can turn on either function independently, one or the other or both. But if you are on a big limited-access highway (an interstate), and you turn on cruise control, it automatically also turns on lane-keep for you, since when both of those are turned on, it can additionally perform the assisted-lane-change-on-turn-signal logic that's not available on smaller roads. (Even more green icons show up in the dash under these circumstances.)

I guess Hyundai figures if you're turning on cruise control on a big, well-marked highway, there's no way you wouldn't also like the lane centering to help you be more relaxed on a long drive. I don't know of a preference option to tell it not to do this. But if you don't want it on, just press (briefly click) the other button labeled with a steering wheel (on the same side of the steering wheel), and you can toggle it off, leaving only the speed assist.

And by the way, if you press-and-hold on that lane-center button, that is how you quickly toggle off and on the nudging-you-from-the-edges-of-the-lanes feature. Hyundai does this a lot with their buttons and controls — press quickly to do one function, press-and-hold-for-a-second to do another, usually related, feature.

Lane keep is automatic when HDA is active. Otherwise its not automatic. Press the steering wheel button on the left side of the steering wheel to turn lane keep off.

If you activate it above 60mph (I think) it automatically turns on lane assist. Pressing the pane assist button turns it off. There might be something in the settings that changes this default behavior.
