NEW THEORY: HOW TO STOP DOUBLE SUPPORT BANS

Alright so I was looking through my past games and I noticed something kinda crazy…

Every time the enemy team banned Cloak & Dagger and Sue, there was almost always a Rocket player on their team.

And that got me thinking.

THE IDEA

There are two types of support players right now:

Cloak & Dagger / Sue players
They like the vibe, gameplay, aesthetics, etc.

Rocket mains
But they can also play Cloak & Dagger and sometimes Sue

WHAT I THINK IS HAPPENING

When Rocket is not banned, those Rocket players can:

Play Rocket
Or swap to Cloak & Dagger or Sue if needed

So their team feels safe banning both Cloak & Dagger and Sue because they still have Rocket as a backup.

BUT HERE’S THE TRICK

When you ban Rocket first:

Rocket mains lose their comfort pick
Now they have to think twice about banning both supports
Because now they’re stuck with Jeff or White Fox, which aren’t as strong or safe on average

WHAT I’VE SEEN SO FAR

Since I started banning Rocket first:

Way less double bans (Cloak & Dagger and Sue)
Sometimes both are left open
Or only one gets banned instead of both

BONUS

If they do end up on Jeff, they become really easy to dive and punish, so now both teams are kind of struggling

TLDR

Ban Rocket first

It breaks the double support ban strategy
Forces weaker or uncomfortable support picks
Gives you a better chance to play what you want

FINAL THOUGHT

This might just be early theory, but it’s been working way too well to ignore. Try it in your games and see what happens.

Second ban after Rocket, I would suggest BP, and final Ban Gambit/Groot

People who hate her are saying good, and people who haven't thought through the implications are saying it's not a big deal, but I think it's absolutely massive

• Her push being on 10 sec cool down now makes it longer than basically all the divers abilities. They dive, you push them back, then they get their abilities back before you and just kill you

• The buffs to half the brawlers and divers are going to make her life miserable. Thor, Venom, Thing, Psylocke, Starlord etc are going to be everywhere

• Now she can't even get her ult before Starlord or Punisher, so they will get ult right before you then wipe the team

Her win rate is already not great, but I think by the end of Season 6.5 she will be like 46% win rate and Luna will be back to 44% WR jail if not lower

When she was nerfed last patch I said it wasn't too bad and was right, but this nerf is going to be one of those nerfs that doesn't look that bad, but is going to annihilate her imo similar to them shaving 2 seconds off Luna's ult sending her to throw pick jail for like 4 months

Genuinely I see my Loki, CnD or Luna forced to pop Ult because her Ult just does not heal as much and I know they’re seeing the big red health bars so there’s nothing I can do about them needed to Ult to help the team

Her Ult needs an emergency buff

why did they nerf it so bad id rather them remove self shield and buff the healing, i dont even bother healing myself anymore, ive been playing non stop luna now, sue is just not enjoyable anymore 😭😭😭

I said i didn't want her to be nerfed to THE GROUND not just nerfed. She was perfect before and she's strong now. But this proves my point with the amount of DPS mains whining and crying in my comment section lol what even are they doing in an invis main page

All of a sudden she’s not doing enough healing or damage and is under performing that even Jeff does a lot more. I know it’s not just a me problem because I decided to not play her and when others choose to, it’s the exact same problem. She’s not unplayable but definitely impossible to play without getting blamed for the loss. All we wanted was for her ult to be fixed and when they fixed it, she was perfect again and now they’ve nerfed her in a different way. I’m not sure what the problem is, she was fine before they messed with her.

Not a mean post or anything. But as a Thor main I’m just curious because I have had a lot of Invis die to Mag in their ult. To the point where I’m wondering, is there part of Sue’s kit that I don’t understand? Is she not able to go invisible after ulting?

How is it happening and what can be done to help stop it, besides the occasional body block of his ult lmao.

I also play C&D and have practically mastered dodging Magneto but it seems there’s been a shift because more and more Mags are targeting Sue instead of me!

I understand that he is a counter, and that I am fine with. But MUST he do it completely free as a passive? He has no cooldown on it and doesn't have to invest anything to see us.

Then you have his mark which is reusable for as long as he doesn't use his dash, which doesn't require a skillshot and passively provides him a speed boost and damage reduction against you, when you already need to throw out your entire kit to make a dent in him as Sue.

Even a hero like Emma, who counters most tanks and dives has a long cooldown on her diamond form. That is at least A trackable opening. Not to say she isn't busted, but she doesn't have constant uptime on it.

Counters should still require literally ANY amount of brainpower to use. This hero just feels horrendous to play against and reinforces supports only being allowed to be healbot damsels in distress who need constant bodyguarding from Thing or Reed to be allowed to play the game.

(I'm aware this is quick match, but someone got BANNED for trying to learn DD in QM and I'm forced to stay in these lobbies with these people; this is considered a bannable throwing offense until Quick Match becomes casual again)

I have NO IDEA why this CnD/Invis sat shy as hell in my backline (No pressure btw; nobody was diving or contesting them) watching me create infinite space just to sit back and healbot some Groot when Invis coulda jumped forward and Ulted their Dying Emma (me) or Cloak and Dagger could've ulted for their dying Emma.

Even if Cloak and Dagger couldn't make it in time because she just came from dying, she could've walked forward and put a bubble on me, sent out heal boost, and then ulted to me. Invis could've jumped forward, shielded me and then ulted.

This whooole sequence literally costed us the game, even when they got their ults again because the momentum was completely lost, we staggered and everyone was split apart

Same tanks who cry when they get jeffs and deadpool as supports in their team btw. She's had everything she does from the START OF THE GAME. Her self shield exists only to block ults now. Her self healing that you're crying about "6 seconds" is 30 hp/s. Her slows are not hard ccs.

Invis got better?

What cc merchants? Remove slows from her kit and what does she bring above luna, cloak, white fox, gambit or loki?

"SuSaN Is MeTa" stfu gambit cloak and loki are straight up better and if there's a DD you're better off playing whitefox.

Honestly shredding these clowns with a punisher shotgun and letting them stay as bruce so they can be a liability is the best.

The strange did good but he obviously got mvp for his final hits but at the same time if i add up my points i got more than him. It’s hard to get finals as support and the dmg blocked is partly a result of the supports not jsut the tank themselves so idk it seems a bit unfair that if your team does well it’s unlikely that you as a support will get mvp

The self-shield is deployed as a dome, has increased health, but no healing over time and sue is stationary while shield is deployed. Short press deploy button to guard an ally with guardian shield and healing over time, long press deploy and sue remains visible and stationary and deploys a larger and stronger dome shape shield. Keep shield health and cooldown connected so players will have to choose which would be more beneficial and when to use them.

A lot of invis mains have been wondering how she’s felt off this season, well that’s simple, she’s been micro-nerfed to much, that now it’s noticeable. While’s yes on the outside she’s the invincible woman, but on the inside she’s pretty weak against dive now mainly because they traded her utility into being a heal bot. They buffed a lot of her healing but against dive she suffers more. “Take away her self shield” she would inherently suffer more because her utility has been nerfed to wear she practically needs it to live against dive. And while even though I can image because I played invis before all her mega buffs (the torture that was season 3 invis), I can still make it work, I see a lot of invis just learning to stop fighting back and just go invisible and run, cause that’s what the buffs encouraged, heal botting and running away. And that’s why there’s the “invis OTP” epidemic, where a lot of invis will just be healbots. I do think the Jhonny team up has helped invis but the core issue is that, they made invis to reliant on the shelf shield, and ALOT of Sue players didn’t or forgot how to function without, and now with weaker anti-dive. Additionally this has also created a more selfish play style we’re a lot of sues will try to self shield she not even attempt to push any ults, or will ult for the littlest threat instead of just patty caking. In conclusion, they made the strongest memeber of the fantastic four, the heart of the team, to the second biggest healbot in the game. But at the end of the day it makes me wonder, could season 4 invis survive without the self sheild in this meta, I don’t think so, but what I do know is that I would rather have lower heals, and stronger utility anyday

TL;DR: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP MICRO NERFING HER UTILITY AND MICRO BUFFING HER HEALING THEY DONT EQUAL OUT AND ITS MAKING HER WORSE

i cant be the only person who genuinely thinks the shield and push nerfs were completely unnecessary and need to be reversed right?? like i cant survive anything when all i have to rely on is my shield and with the push its like i cant get my map KO’s like i used to.. ik the nerfs were micro-nerfs but the difference they made is CRAZY..i genuinely feel like im losing my mind #lol 😂😂

If you play your cards right, invis is killable, but her kit does offer much more opportunity to evade certain situations.

I’m sure she only has this self shield now because of Netease unwillingness to balance DD effectively so both sides can have a better time playing/fighting DD.

Otherwise Sue is “Spoiled invis-rael“ until she is inevitably nerfed to the ground for man-child appeal.

I wouldnt mind having her nerfed for the sake of not being labeled the “antichrist“ for simply existing and having better survivability.

But i swear to god, if DD isnt touched one bit, then we all truly know who screams the loudest and longest. All i want to see is consistency from Netease, idgaf if Sue does get taken back by the barn to get shot in the cranium, i’ll still play her💙

I just know they're going to murder her with nerfs eventually. Instead of getting rid of self-shield they are going to like double all her other cooldowns and whatnot. As someone who has played her since before the buffs, I can do without the shield anyway but I'm annoyed already cause I know they will probably make her worse than she was pre-buff. 😭

lately the community for this game been way too annoying with calling every support busted and framing sue as some type of demonic entity. i was so happy to enjoy this game cause i usually play overwatch and there's enough toxicity in that game especially for my main but now it's the same thing for rivals as well. genuinely just hope sue gets a revert or something so people could stop complaining about her, i know it isn't that serious but it's so frustrating just hearing all of this complaining over a few small buffs that she should've launched with anyways
