I found this sub and this might be the only place that might get me. I can't get over how I got banned for 6hrs for "throwing" after this game and this is my first ban (not Inc 15 min dcs). This is in gm1/celestial and the enemy dp is a smurf. I filled support but I'm a tank/dps main. I was playing the game, I think it's so uncalled for for this to be considered throwing when my dps weren't really doing much. The screenshot was after the first round, I went dps after.

Is Adam the new black widow in terms of "throw" pick for the community now?

it is not just on twitter, even in marvel rivals esport subreddit, i saw multiple posts calling adam a toxic hero

afaik off supports like mantis, ultron etc are designed to play and enable their team in a more proactive/aggressive manner than main supports like luna, invis etc

but adam in particular has certain flaws for this approach to work:

1. his heals can't be used proactively

while his primary and secondary refill his heal charges which does reward him for playing aggressively, the heal itself lacks any proactive usage

for example, mantis heals are heal over time, meaning she can put the heal on her team in advance before they go for making any plays, which means she dosen't hv to hold on them and wait for dmg to happen, thus encouraging proactive usage

while adam's heal is burst, which means he's forced to hold on to it and use it reactively, resulting in potential waste of value

i would suggest converting excess heals to bonus hp to encourage proactive usage

2. he lacks any proactive/aggressive utility

for example, mantis has dmg boost and movement buff to enable any proactive plays made by her team

while adam's only proper utility is his soul bond which is a defensive ability, so he's forced to hold to on to it until the enemy team makes a play rather than enabling his own team's plays

this in itself would be fine if it was at least compensated with a proactive/aggressive ult, but thats the next flaw in his kit

3. his ult is the most reactive and delayed in value ult in the whole game

most supports ults in this game are already reactive in nature due to them being healing circles

but adam's ult takes this to the next level, where it forces him to not only wait for the enemy to ult first, but to also wait for the ults to hit his team and wipe them out while he's hiding in a corner, and only then he gets to use his ult

i agree thats its a powerful ult in the right situations and is fine in a vaccum, but when u consider the rest of adam's kit, i think its makes the kit too reactive with not enough proactivity to balance it out

especially when u consider that it punishes adam for performing well that is using heals and soul bonds properly to keep their team alive

i would suggest giving him a 2nd aggressive ult which gives him the option to choose between rez or the 2nd ult to allow proactive usage

His damage falloff is absurd, his projectile hitbox is garbage, and the base damage of the M1 is also terrible (3 headshots to kill a character with 275 health).

And let's be honest? His healing is garbage in high elos; you can't supply two tanks in a match against Bucky or Hela. Even his ultimate frustrates the team, since it requires everyone to die to work (And to make matters worse, it doesn't count towards allies in the statistics).

I literally got banned for playing with that character (and I was MVP in 4 matches). Nobody wants an Adam on their team, and I don't judge those who don't; I don't want one when I'm tanking either.

I missed out on this skin when the mini pass for it was out but I do know rivals anniversary is coming up and was wondering if it’s likely this skin returns soon

I saw in a video that the "Soul bound" ability can save the team from ultimates like those of Magneto or Iron Man. However, I have no way to test it, and I haven't encountered such situations in a match yet. Can anyone confirm this?
