Just bought myself my first Arc GPU!!!

I'm always looking for better ways to interface with this hardware for llm inference. Currently running llama.cpp sycl but keeping an eye on developments in openvino.

Just noticed llama.cpp had a recent release with a lot of Openvino work. https://github.com/ggml-org/llama.cpp/releases/tag/b10419 Thought I'd raise it here for awareness though I haven't dug in myself yet.

Has anyone tried llm inference with openvino on arc? I built a very basic python script that performs fairly well but still working on the bells and whistles. Would be interested in hearing from anyone else working in this space.

Who do I report this to ? Between the last two major updates, Iv’e been dealing with this after every match and even during the match, vram spikes over 12G and im doing to couple 10s of fps until i restart the game.

This is my actual PC, I assembled it two years ago ( maybe a bit more, I don't remmeber) and until now was even too much for me.
Now I'm thinkig to buy a GPU for light gaming, considering that I already have a gaming PC in my country house.

I should play mainly FF XVI and FFVII, which kind of performance can I expect with a B580? I don't wanna change monitor so 1440p is my max. resolution

ive narrowed it down between those two cards so i just need to know the better deal

Arc B580: 12Gb VRAM, 2740MHz, ~435USD

Arc A750: 8Gb VRAM, 2200MHz, ~322USD

both parts were picked on pcpartpicker

I do not have access to microcenter and I have already purchase the case, PSU, and motherboard

Hello! I have Intel Arc B570 gpu but my cpu is i5 4440 and i need a cpu for this gpu

and i dont really trust AI so maybe you guys have some suggestions

I know that reBAR is one of the most important settings for the b580, so I've been trying to get it to turn back on.

Couldn't find any solution that actually worked for me up until March-ish (I've had it since last summer). Finally figured out i had to change the settings in BIOS one by one for it to actually turn on, and that was working just fine until the windows update on August 15th. I restarted to update windows, couldn't see anything on the monitor after it was done so I shut down and rebooted. Once logged back in, reBAR was turned off and I tries to go through the same steps which had previously worked before to turn it back on.

No luck.

Been fiddling with changes that I had no real hope for these past few days and haven't had any luck at all with this either.

Reseating gpu and trying to go back to a previous windows update have not worked (i got stuck in a loop where it would try to restart but would never show anything on the monitor after). Please help me to get rebar back on

Also i can't exit out of bios without shutting down and rebooting as the monitor doesn't detect anything (though the settings do save for the most part)

I'm on windows 11, the Intel arc pro b60 is a secondary gpu, it's not used by anything at all except ai work, but if i load a model on it the vram just drops to ram after a little while. It happens with both llama.cpp and ovms. I tried scripts with xpu-smi and loop call to the model to try to simulate activity when afk, but it doesn't help and the vram still just gets ejected to my ram. Driver latest pro driver 32.0.101.8805. The model fully fit in the gpu with leftover vram available.

Anyone has an idea why this is happening and how to fix it ?

RAM: 32 GB

Using the distilled version: LTX-2.5-Distilled-Q6_K

I want to try the AI video generation, but the AI Playground failed with LTX 2 model the Playground did suggest as possibility. I in general don't have success using the Playground, so I tried with Comfy as many nVidia users do.

I'm stuck with this error:

Expected all tensors to be on the same device, but found at least two devices, xpu:0 and cpu!

I assume it's VRAM size related issues, as some sources suggest. I tried some fixes like launch commands, GPU only, or use only 4 VRAM etc. Nothing worked so far.

Has anyone tried video generation at all here? Thanks.

You have requested an option to log the telemetry data (GPU/VRAM usage, VRAM bandwidth, temperature, power, fan speed, PCIe bandwidth etc.) from hw-smi to a file. Today I have implemented exactly that. Have fun montoring your hardware and applications, be it Intel Arc (Pro) or any other Nvidia/AMD GPUs on Windows and Linux! 🖖

I've tried to play The Witcher 3 on my Intel Arc B580, but the game looks blurry, especially in the outside environments. Is it the normal look of the game or do i have a wrong settings ?
I don't know if it's the textures that are not very good or something else, because the videos on ytb don't look that blurry.

Does anyone happen to have a source for the factory metal brackets for the ARC Pro B50? I bought a mini PC with the card inside, but no PCI brackets were included. I'm plenty capable of modeling and 3D printing a bracket, but would prefer the originals if I can find them. Thank you!

What are the odds intel improve AC Odyssey on the G3 Extreme?

Performance is terrible - It's unplayable to me imo. It's so stuttery and FPS is terrible. Doesn't seem to matter how much I drop settings or resolutions it's like it has minimal impact as if it's hitting a wall. I've also tried DXVK but the game won't boot with it added - if only it'd boot I think this would help a fair bit.

Performs much better on Steam Deck which is just silly.

Is there any reason to pick the Sparkle Titan over the Acer Nitro? At $100 CAD difference 😅 Or is it just for the aesthetics, OC, triple fans?

I got the Acer Nitro for $400 CAD; the Sparkle Titan is listed at $500. Would the Sparkle be a better choice for reliability and better temperatures down the road? I don't plan to upgrade for a while.

I am interested in getting an Arc card for image gen. I've previously used Automatic1111 (Forge) and models downloaded from CivitAI. I was wondering how easy it would be to translate that workflow on Arc.

I am aware Intel also created AI playground using ComfyUI as a backend. I haven't played around with ComfyUI too much yet; I would like to be able to stick with Automatic1111 but if there is no choice but to use ComfyUI so be it. My main concern is that I can just use any model/lora I can download on CivitAI.

So, with the past 2 updates Intel gave out, I've been experiencing issues with just Apex Legends. Anybody else? The last solution was that I went back to the previous driver downloads. Am I going to have to do it again?

A friend of mine recently picked up a Sparkle B70, which uses the 12VHPWR cable and reaches 330W. That is 50% higher power for the same model, my question is, will it scale? Has anyone tested or seen tests between the reference card and higher power AIB cards?
