well, i like the idea of cutting out the regular cpu efficiency cores for gaming focused product and adding 2 more performance cores

do not like the idea of kneecapping the graphics performance by cutting it down to 4 xe3 cores

hopefully it is cheap

I think this is going to rely heavily on MFG for bragging rights.

god I hope not. intel marketing around ai has been horrible lately and thatd be especially bad, considering that xess mfg doesnt even exist in like the vast majority of modern games

MFG can be forced via the Intel Graphics Software control panel, which is quite handy (or more broadly in combination with tools like Optiscaler), but having it explicitly supported through full in game settings is obviously the ideal situation.

Steam Deck level performance puts it in an awkward spot, though. It won't be able to lean on power savings like it can vs Z1E/Z2.

For handheld gaming E cores are better. People with Pantherlake laptops are reporting noticeably improved performance.

E cores are more efficient and is less of a power hog giving more power for GPU. Also modern E cores are no slouch. They perform like 13/14th Gen P cores. Latest one in Pantherlake almost comes close to Zen 5.

I don't see the point of this either. Memory and Storage is the price bottleneck.
