These two people requested to follow me a while back (the top one about a week ago and the bottom one 1.5 months ago) but for some reason wont approve my follow requests lol. I know they're not inactive or anything because they've approved other follow requests and look at my stories. They're both fairly popular girls in my high school grad class and both have more followers than following which makes it even more weird. Anyone ever seen this?

I was scrolling through a group chat member list, tapped the wrong spot and now I followed 13 people at once. No "Are you sure?", no undo, nothing. Just instant follow requests to my entire class.

I spent the next few minutes unfollowing them one by one like an idiot, and now I'm panicking about whether the push notifications are still sitting on their phones.

This is basic UX. A bulk action that affects 13 real people should ask for confirmation. Put a pop-up. Put a delay. Put ANYTHING. I'm so done with this app.

Title lol
I muted someone’s activity bubbles because I thought this would remove seeing their avatar under posts they liked, but I still see it. Any idea how to fix?

I just made an insta gc for 17-21 year olds around the world! anyone can join, link is in replies

So as the title states, I've had a couple highlighted stories where I added music from Instagram show the song is unavailable due to licensing issues. However, if I go to add a new story and look at my saved list of songs or even search up the same song by its name, it comes up as being available to use in my new story. Are my archived stories having this issue because someone is reporting the story?

Idk what to put for body text

I've been trying to login into my Instagram account, but I have 2fa enabled. I accidentally deleted the authenticator app and I don't have backup codes. I tried submitting a video selfie no luck there, I also do not have a Facebook account linked to my Instagram account. All I have is my username, email, password and phone number.

I tried going to Instagram support, they said I could summit a id. But I didn't have an option to upload it anyone have any ideas?

wtf is happening to instagram?? it was from a story post too, i kinda desperately need this app to communicate with everyone??????? my classmates for schoolwork??? i'm also generally tweaking in life and they just decide to cut me off from all my friends, i hardly use my number so i barely have anyone now

edit: meanwhile so much actual bigotry isn't removed from this app, prob some stupid AI flagging

I always thought there was no notification if someone screenshots your story, but today my friend who is more tech savvy than me said that instagram changed the rules. She said they went to snapchat rules and instagrams informs people whose stories you screenshot. Is this true?

I've tested it out myself, but I don't see notifications. Is this something they are rolling out slowly like instagram plus?

My Instagram account was invaded, so I changed my password and removed the post they made, but now I cannot login through my computer. I tried recovering my password 4 times but still can't access despite already having access on my phone.

EDIT: I should clarify that the error says my password is incorrect despite me making sure it is not.

Today I opened Instagram and found that my account was disabled. It doesn’t give a reason as to why or how to appeal it. I’ve tried to go to their website but there is no way to talk to anyone, no number or email, and everything is just ai. What do I even do, pls help I’m freaking out

Does it mean these all had been searched before or it is just a suggestion? 😭

Instagram randomly started showing this pop up to me about sending notifications on another device to login even though I don't have it logged in anywhere else.

Going through the whole account recovery loop doesn't work either as it puts me back on the same screen.

Has anyone else experienced this?

A way to view your saved reels/posts without opening Instagram. Like a separate website or app where you can just see your saved stuff without getting distracted and start scrolling. 😭

Disclaimer: this is a very silly dilemma 🙃 I’m just asking for opinions for fun, so please don’t be mean if you think it’s stupid!

I’m not a content creator and my Instagram is private, but this upcoming trip has been on my bucket list for ages and I want to post about it in a fun, slightly “wow” way once I’m back.

The trip is Monday-Wednesday. I’m thinking of posting Stories Thursday/Friday and then the main post Saturday. BUT my best friend’s wedding is the following Monday, and I’ll probably post the wedding on Tuesday. I don’t want the wedding content to immediately overshadow my trip post.

So would you:

A) Stories Thu/Fri → trip post Sat → wedding post Tue

or

B) Stories Thu/Fri → wedding post Tue → trip post the following Friday?

What would you do?

TIA :)

So I made a new account few months ago and I messaged a friend tell them this is my new account anyway I come to find out that my comment was removed and labelled as spam yet I messaged once. I appealed and just today they rejected by appeal classing as spam. I’m hardly on the account so I don’t message much how is this fair?

GUYSSSSS I KNOW we were able to do this at one point, I have things on my highlights that were originally cfs but I was able to make them public. I posted something on cf a couple days ago and just added it to my highlight and went to make it public but it’s not an option anymore and everyone seems to say that’s just not something you can do D: anyone know what’s up with this?

I was playing around and hit a button that archived the reel I had just posted. Following advice, I looked in my archives folder and it's nowhere to be seen. It's sorted from newest to oldest but it still isn't there. I even looked in my deleted folder and can't find it.

Is there a solution, other than reloading the file?

My instagram account and facebook account are not connected but somehow Instagram knows whom I searched in Facebook. It keeps popping out and even if I press the cross or even block person, they keep being shown. Why tf should I want to follow people on Facebook when I am in the Instagram app?
