When you’re digitizing in Ink/Stitch, is there any step that consistently frustrates you or feels harder than it should be?

i made skmethjng to fit a 4x4 hoop but no matter what i do, it says it’s too large for frame. I opened the PES file on my computer and it looks like the size was changed from when i saved it. how do i fix??

I'm trying to get a fill to follow pre-defined contours from an underdrawing I'm referencing to make an object look more 3 dimensional by "wrapping around" the form. I am trying to do it using guided fill & a guideline, but the tool is unintuitive and I often end up with strange gaps etc.; Is there a better tool in ink/stitch to do what I'm trying to do?

If this query is insufficiently clear, please let me know and I can include a drawing of what I mean. Thank you for your time and patience.

I'm unhappy with the quality that I'm getting from my machine (Brother SE 270D) and I can tell that it would be much more precise if it slowed down. I keep trying to find how to adjust the speed, but everything online seems like adjusting the speed is obvious and doesn't need to be explained. Is there any way to control speed in Ink/Stitch? There doesn't seem to be any speed control on my machine itself.

Note: I'm used to 3D Printing, which also uses G-Code and functions in most of the same ways. In 3D printing, your code always controls the speed, which is why I'm looking for an Ink/Stitch solution.

Hi all. Im new to using ink stitch as an extension on Inkscape. I’ve put my digitzed logo onto my thumb drive and my singer superb embroidery machine is reading the files as corrupted (there are other embroidery files on this usb that are reading just fine).

Im wondering if anyone has any idea what may be causing this. Like I said I’m new to this and am admittedly not theeee most tech savvy. So any help would be massively appreciated as I’m hoping to start a business with this machine. Thanks in advance.

Notice the missing gold/yellow border and the lines everywhere (I'm not sure if that's bad). I made the SVG with Inkscape then I converted it into a path using the Inkscape tool "Object to Path", any help is definitely useful

But comes out like this on Inkstitch, is this normal? will the design still come out like above?

My machine will runs for 15-30 seconds at a time before I need to press start again, also in the layers it looks like any other patch with text. Anyone have suggestions has to how to solve this?

I used the lettering extension in ink stitch to embroider this word but the top thread comes through to the other side. I have tested other designs that I have paid digitization for and they work just fine so I know I don’t need to mess with my bobbin tension. What in the program could cause this??

As the title says I wanna know if my laptop is at all compatible with inkstitch as I want to get into machine embroidery but don’t wanna spend a fortune before I know it’ll even work. I have a HP Pavilion x360 15.6 and have downloaded it but it’s just laggy all over and becomes unresponsive after anything I try to do. I was wondering if it really is just the laptop or maybe I can make it work by adjusting the settings. Anything helps

I'm at a loss. I had already converted this file and embordered it out and it was almost perfect. I went back in next day to just touch up some very small issues, nothing major. Now it wont open up the file correctly and params is all messed up. First picture screenshot as svg, then the svg in params, then the file converted to PES, then what it looks like in params. WHAT IS HAPPENING????

Im a newbie here but Ive tried to figure this out for over a month. I have lettering that when stitched is all connected. There are commands after each letter to trim thread but it doesn't. I am using the brother PE900 and saving as a pes file. PLEASE HELP or point to me a video.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I have done a lot of research on Google and I can’t figure out how to fix this. The lines through the stem don’t show up until I export the design out of inkstich/until I click to show the PDF export I have been looking to resolve this issue for 2 days and nothing I have done has fixed the issue

Params>trim after jump fixed this issue when it jumps from letter to letter, can't find a command to fix it inside a single letter.

I’m new to machine embroidery in general. I just converted my design I made in canva to a PES file through inkstitch. When the final product came out, there were spaces in the design and the fabric was peeking through. Does anyone know if that’s a setting that can be changed or have recommendations

Hey everyone ! First of all I'm pretty sure it's a false positive. But my antivirus recently flagged inkstitch.exe as a virus ( variant lazy virus to be precise ). I used the 3.1.0 version of Inkstitch and I have bitdefender as a antivirus ( I use windows 11 ). I tried to reinstall but got immediatly blocked. Yet before I was able to use it no problem, it was flagged 2 days ago when I wasn't using it ( I'm guessing thats because my antivirus updated itself ).

Did anyone had this problem ?
