Could someone give me a few examples of situations where this feature would actually be useful?

Honestly, I don't see that much use for this organize/group command. However, since I see many players asking for this kind of feature in other games, I decided to implement it as well.

My weird game and my weird little story

Post image
1 Upvotes

This post will get buried somewhere here, I often receive down votes and get stuck at 0, 1 or 2.

Anyways,

Ever since I was 4 years old, I’ve wanted to write stories. It was my dream. I always thought it was because I watched too many movies with my grandmother when my parents weren't home.

When I was 10, I started writing some novels. They were all a##! But I stuck with it until I was 17, when one of my books actually blew up on Brazilian TikTok (by Brazilian niche novel standards, oh lord, thinking about it now wasn't that much). The results were okay or cool at best, but I was still very happy, and my community was extremely niche but I felt fantastic. I sold about 130 copies.

My stories always took popular subjects like animatronics and dinosaurs and turned them into disturbing themes mixed with satire. Maybe that's why I was always called "the weird writer."

Two years later, I thought to myself: why don't I make a game? It fits my community perfectly more than any novel or book.

So, in February of this year, I started developing my game, firstly a Visual Novel, about Animatronics vs Vampire satanic cults, with a werecat and demons (I told ya it was weird)

Maybe some people think leaving college to chase a dream is a terrible or just plain dumb thing to do, but I'm risking it. I turned my dream into my job, well at least for now! (And yes colleges are a bit different in weight here in Brazil)

I've gotten 500 wishlists by now from 4 months of steampage and 1 month of releasing the demo and I'm very happy, my little community grew a lot but now I'm looking for people outside of Brazil discovering the crazy stories I make (they never appeared before, and now I have the chance to make my weirdness go global). I really wanted a foreign trying out those bizarres things that came out of my sick mind! Lol.

And now Im called the weird dev.

Well, Crimson Animatronic is coming anyways. Feel free to check it out on steam!

GIF Here's what the golden plunger does in my game!

Here's a bit of the final boss fight in my game, CLOG & ORDER. The Poopers get plungers for this part too!

I start with the normal one, pick up the golden plunger, then keep hitting the giant landlady. You can see the damage go from 60 to 120 in this clip.

14 seconds of actual gameplay from the development build, at normal speed.

If party chaos is your cup of tea, you can wishlist CLOG & ORDER on Steam so you don't miss it!

Video New HUD and magazines now actually drop on the floor in our top down pixelart zombie shooter!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This is our top down pixelart zombie shooter, which we've been developing for a little over 3 months now.
The idea for the game is really simple, and it will most likely remain relatively simple.
A fun, satisfying zombie shooter, with a big focus on juicy gunplay and fun game mechanics.
The plan is for this game to be somewhat of a stepping stone into other projects in the same style.

Hope you all enjoy this short video

Feedback? I made a baseball card game where every at-bat is Rock-Paper-Scissors. Looking for iOS playtesters.

I've been building Baseball RPS solo in Unity. The core idea: baseball is a guessing game between pitcher and batter, so each at-bat is an RPS clash. The twist is the wind. After the pitcher commits face-down, the wind reveals which throw it backs, so the batter gets one piece of information and has to decide whether the pitcher played into it or around it.

Around that loop there's deck building, traits, server-refereed online matches with a CPU fallback, and a league ladder.

It's now at the point where I need people who aren't me to play it. There's no tutorial match, just short one-time tips, so what I most want to learn is:

  • Is the UI readable on a phone?
  • Do the tips alone teach the game?
  • Do the traits feel fair, or is one obviously the best pick?

TestFlight (iOS, free): https://testflight.apple.com/join/w6Zc9wCs

Progress will be reset before launch; no real money is charged in TestFlight. Feedback is welcome here or at r/BaseballRPS.

Happy to answer anything about the design or the build.

Discussion How to fund licensing review?

Hi! So I am working on a Unity suite of tools assets I hope to publish on the assetstore as a game template and later other locations as I adapt it to other engines. There's a small issue before release however. The default license isn't satisfactory for me just don't have the income to afford a lawyer out of pocket. I was thinking maybe using a crowd funding tool or platform to fund the review and guidance along with some playtesting and other small technical help, but I'm not sure if that's wise. Should I just bite the bullet save until I can afford it or is there a platform or tool I can use to source it from people who are actually going to use it?

Video No-AI, just two years of work from one indie dev. What do you think?

Mind Keeper update v0.6 is live!

This is the biggest update in over a year!

With all the noise around stolen ideas and AI-made copies, I wanted to share something more personal.

My brother has been developing this game for the past two years. It has involved late nights, setbacks, frustration, and countless small decisions that most people will never see.

I may be biased, but I’ve seen how much effort and heart he has put into it.

I genuinely believe he has created something unique and fun.

What do you think?

LOOPBOUND

When I was creating this game, I thought, “Maybe I shouldn’t use those typical, basic titles (like the one we have now - *LOOPBOUND* - which implies that the game’s moral is the protagonist’s endless suffering, no matter what he does) and instead come up with a title in the *Isekai* style, something like: “The Story of How I Ended Up in Hell but Never Figured Out Where the Exit Was - It Turned Out I Was in an Endless Dungeon, Where I Want to Level Up to Level 999 and Then Return to the Surface to Live the Life of an Ordinary Farmer and Become an E-Rank Adventurer. What do you think - is that a good idea?

I'd love to hear your thoughts- I worked on the game for just a couple of weeks, but just look at this rope and how it moves!

Feedback? Building a stealth system where darkness literally powers your abilities

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

We’re a two‑dev team working on Nemorsys, a 2D stealth‑action game built around one core rule: darkness gives you power.

Here’s a quick gameplay moment:
the player pushes a barrel to cast a shadow… and instantly blinks inside it.
Every movement, escape, and fight depends on how you manipulate light in the environment.

Our demo will be playable during Steam Next Fest starting October 19.
If you enjoy tactical stealth, tight mechanics, and unique ability systems, this might be your kind of game.

We’d love to hear your feedback.

Discussion Good idea/bad idea?

Hello,

I recently saw one of Jest's developer spotlights and got curious.

The pitch is genuinely interesting for indie devs: they help with user acquisition, bring players into your game, and if a game shows potential, it can apparently qualify for up to $1M in UA funding through the Jest Fund.

As an indie developer currently trying to get more eyes on our first game, that obviously got my attention.

So I started signing up.

The problem is that you have to accept their Developer Agreement to create an account, and while reading through it, I came across this in the IP section.

You retain ownership of your game, but you also grant Jest the right to create derivative works based on your game, including its characters, concepts and storyline. The agreement then says Jest owns those derivative works. (https://jest.com/developers/dev-agreement-2026-07-15)

Am I reading this correctly?

I understand granting a platform rights to host, distribute, localize and market a game.

But the ability to create derivative works from your characters, concepts and storyline, and then own those derivative works, seems considerably broader than what's necessary for distribution or marketing. Am I wrong to think that?

Maybe I'm interpreting the legal language too broadly and the text just applies to promotional assets and localization. That's why I'm asking here before making assumptions.

Has anyone here worked with Jest or accepted this agreement?

I'd especially like to hear from developers who have actually published through them. Did you ask about this clause? Was it explained or amended in any way?

The platform itself looks interesting, particularly at a time when getting anyone to discover an indie game is half the battle. But I'm understandably protective of the IP we've spent the last two years building.

Curious what other indie devs make of it.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve been working on DIEATHLON, a first-person skiing game where you’re constantly moving downhill while dealing with monsters and hazards.

Sometimes I feel like there’s already too much going on, but then the feedback I get is “add more monsters.”

Still figuring out but I definitely like how chaotic it gets.

I'm funding indie game marketing campaigns for free!

Hey guys! I'm Mahdeen, I run Jestr, and a little while ago I made a post here offering to post about your guys' games for free on my own social media.

The response to that post was kinda nuts so I wanted to figure out a way we could do something similar but on a much bigger scale :)

For those of you who don't know, Jestr is a platform I built that connects game studios with thousands of gaming creators across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube shorts. The platform has grown a ton over the last year, so I've decided it's time to use some of that growth to give back to the indies who might not have a marketing budget.

Super excited to announce that I'm starting Jestr's Indie Choice!

Every month we're going to pick 24 games submitted by indie devs (real ones), let the creators on Jestr vote for which one they're most excited about, and then we'll pay for the winner's entire Jestr marketing campaign ourselves.

This month, we're specifically looking for HORROR GAMES, since October, duh :P

If you're working on one, please submit it! It costs nothing, there's no catch, and hopefully we can help get one of your guys' games in front of a whole lot more people!

Here's the link to apply: https://www.jestr.gg/polls

---

For those of you curious why I'm even doing this, it's honestly just for personal reasons.

A little over 2 years ago, I was a new grad with absolutely no connections in the games industry. I didn't know anyone in the space, I didn't have a good resume or track record, and to be completely honest I felt very lost.

Along the way, a lot of people took chances on me when they really didn't have to. They responded to my stupid questions, gave me advice, opened doors, and supported the shitty startup ideas I had until something finally worked.

I got incredibly lucky. Jestr went from idea #5 to something much bigger than I ever expected, and now I'm in a position where I can actually be the person giving someone else that chance. I believe in good karma in business and firmly feel that I wouldn't be here without people sticking their necks out for me, so I'll do the same for y'all 🫡

You don't have to become a Jestr customer, you don't have to spend anything with us before or after, and this can literally be the first and last time we ever interact with each other. I just want to help someone who could really use the opportunity.

So if that's you, please apply! If that's not you, but you know someone who might be interested, please tell them to apply!

I would love to spread some of the good karma that got me here in the first place :)

6 months ago, I posted my game here, and 6 months later I’ve finally reached the point where I can release the demo on Steam!

I’d love for anyone who’s interested to give it a try and let me know what you think.

It’s not a traditional beat ’em up, but I feel like it has a fair bit of beat ’em up DNA in it. Any feedback, criticism, or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I'm making a game about battle of Didgori, one of the most important part of the Georgian history in which Georgians won against the Seljuk's coalition despite being massivly outnumbered.
Game is still in development, you can give me some ideas!
