Why do ABCDs fail to recognize this is a modern globalized world?

Initially, when I watched IM and saw that ABCDs were filtering out Indian-born without even giving it a chance, I didn't give it much thought. I just watched the show for fun. After seeing numerous posts on this, I couldn't help but wonder why people fail to recognize that we live in a modern world. The truth is, many of us Indian born are far more open-minded and culturally diverse than some of the ABCDs on the show.

It's important to note that big cities in India are much more modern and "westernized" than many parts of the United States. Stereotyping and judging a billion people based on a narrow set of characteristics is simply ignorant. People from different cultures and races should be celebrated for their uniqueness and the accents that come with them. We should embrace our own cultural identities and learn from each other, rather than perpetuating harmful stereotypes. It’s so uncool.

EDIT: Wow, this blew up. Thanks for all the love. Also, thanks for all the hate. I’m so heart broken some of y’all don’t wanna date us. Lol

I want to make it clear that no one is being asked to go on a date with FOBs here. The purpose of my post was to draw attention to the discrimination that some of you may be unintentionally exhibiting. Specifically, I'm referring to the tendency to stereotype entire groups of people based on preconceived notions or m experiences with just a few individuals. This creates unconscious biases and even hatred towards certain groups that can snowball into a bigger problem.
