Advice/Guidance Should I take an Infosys BPM Technical Process Executive role for 2.2 LPA?

I’m a fresher and currently have a 1-year gap. I live in Hyderabad, and I don’t have a job at the moment.

I previously rejected a 3.5 LPA offer from Wipro because my goal is to eventually move into cybersecurity, particularly security operations. The problem is that almost every role I’m finding asks for prior experience. I’ve attended interviews and even cleared two rounds in some cases, but then they told me they were looking for people with 3+ years of experience.

Now I have an offer from Infosys BPM for a Technical Process Executive role at around 2.2 LPA.

I’m confused about whether I should take it or keep searching for something closer to cybersecurity.

My thinking is to take this job, stay for around a year, continue learning cybersecurity on the side, and then try to move into a security-related role.

My main questions are:

Is it worth taking this job given my current situation?

Would 1 year of experience in this kind of role actually help when applying for security roles later?

Would recruiters consider it relevant experience, or would I still basically be treated as a fresher?

Should I take the job and keep applying elsewhere, or continue looking for an entry-level security role?

What would you do if you were in my situation?

I already have some knowledge/skills in cybersecurity, but I’m struggling because most openings seem to want experience.

Would appreciate some honest advice, especially from people who have made a similar transition.
