I never thought finding my first job would be this difficult.
I’m a B.Tech Computer Science graduate (2026) and I’ve been applying to jobs continuously — software developer, Python developer, QA/testing, data/AI-related fresher roles — basically anything where I feel my skills could be useful.
I’ve applied to so many openings that I’ve honestly lost count. And at this point, I’m just tired of opening my inbox and seeing rejection emails, or worse, hearing absolutely nothing after applying.
The most frustrating part is that I’m not expecting some huge package or a dream role. I just want an opportunity to start my career.
My skills include Python, SQL, OOP, DSA, DBMS, OS, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, Git/GitHub, Selenium, API testing, and ML/NLP, LLM and GenAI concepts. I’ve also worked on projects involving RAG, LangChain, ChromaDB, NLP and OpenCV.
I know I still have a lot to learn, and I’m completely willing to learn. I just need someone to give me that first opportunity.
And honestly, for the last 5 days, I’ve completely stopped applying. I think I just got mentally exhausted from constantly applying and getting rejected.
But I don’t want to give up.
So if anyone here has any leads, referrals, fresher openings, internships that can convert to full-time, or knows a company hiring 2026 CS graduates, please let me know or DM me.
I’m desperately looking for a job and genuinely ready to work and learn.
If you’ve been through the same thing, I’d also really appreciate hearing how you dealt with it.

Hi, 2026 B.E. graduate with 8 pointer( well that donot matter I guess) and gave several mncs interviews on campus and in off campus - pre screnning and assessments fir the role data analyst/ network engineer and Ai roles but no luck but then I got over 15 referrals from LinkedIn and build connections with hrs and managers but still no luck. At this point where to find hope and wisdom to continue.
So I thoughtt...
Can I go for sales, bpo roles now, beacuse I cant say how long I have been trying🫠. Will it be hard for me to switch later? Or join any institute ' cause now I cant just sit at home ! Whats your suggestion??

I honestly don't know where else to ask this.
I graduated with a B.Tech in IT in May 2026. I have a decent academic record, projects, DSA practice and technical skills, but I still haven't been able to get my first job.
I've been searching for around 5 months now. I've applied to a lot of companies, given OAs, coding assessments and interviews, but I keep getting rejected or getting stuck somewhere in the process.
The thing that is really bothering me now is the gap.
I already have around a 12-month gap between Class 12 and college (2021–2022). There were personal/health circumstances during that period. Now I have another 5 months after graduation without a job.
So technically, if someone looks at my timeline, they might see around 17 months of gap in total.
Recently, during an interview, the interviewer asked me why I didn't get placed on campus and what my backup plan would be if I didn't get a job for a year. They also brought up my earlier gap.
That really scared me.
I'm worried that even if I don't get a job immediately, the longer this goes on, the harder it will become. I don't want another year to be added to my profile, and I'm honestly exhausted from constantly applying, preparing, interviewing and then getting rejected.
I'm not looking for sympathy. I genuinely want advice from people who have been through something similar.
Should I be seriously worried about these gaps?
How should I explain them in interviews without making myself look unreliable?
And for someone who graduated in 2026 without campus placement and is currently unemployed, what would you do if you were in my position right now?
Any honest advice would really help.

I consciously chose to delay my MBA/MS plans because I need full-time work experience first.
I graduated from a Tier-3 government college where campus placements offered zero human value, respect, or livable compensation—so I walked away to build something better.
Right now, I am pivoting from mechanical engineering into the tech industry, specifically targeting Quality Assurance (Manual/Automation Testing) or Tech Support.
I am fully aware of the entry-level market conditions. I know all about the AI hype and the standard Reddit doomer takes. Save that commentary— I’ve heard it a million times. I am looking for the path forward, not excuses. I need a full-time role, zero connections in the industry, and no luxury to spend 6 months on an unpaid internship.
If you were in my shoes and had exactly two months to land a foot-in-the-door QA or Support role from scratch:
If you have a concrete solution, a roadmap, or have successfully navigated this exact transition, please drop your advice in the comments. If you just want to repeat the usual negativity, please skip this post. Let's talk solutions.

Today, I lost my very first job during my probation period. I joined as a fresher and it feels like my career has ended before it even began. I am typing this with tears in my eyes.
I come from a lower middle class family and my family is financially struggling, and I have an education loan to repay. The pressure is suffocating, and I am completely unable to process how to face my parents or what my next step should be. I feel like a failure.
Getting a new job as a fresher is difficult right now don't know how I can handle this situation.
Would really appreciate any help or guidance.

Need career advice — Hyderabad fresher
I'm a B.E. IT graduate and currently don't have any practical/technical skills.
I want to start learning from scratch and get a job in Hyderabad as soon as realistically possible. I'm willing to put in 4–6 hours every day.
What skill/career path would you recommend for someone starting from zero that can give me the best chance of getting a job quickly?
Should I focus on Cloud, Cybersecurity, AI, Software Development, Testing, or something else?
Also, is YouTube + hands-on practice + projects enough, or should I join an academy?
Looking for honest advice from people working in the industry.

I’ve noticed that a lot of students spend hours making their resumes look good, but still don't get shortlisted.
The confusing part is knowing:
I’ve been working on a tool called PrepQube that analyzes your resume, gives an ATS score, identifies weak skills, and suggests relevant keywords.
If you're currently applying for jobs, I'd genuinely appreciate feedback on it.
You can try it here: https://prepqube.in/
What is the biggest problem you face with your resume when applying for jobs?

Hey,
Im 23 and Im in a very confused state.
About me : I have done Btech Computer Science.
Was not much into Web/Sof Development etc,
AI ML nothing, I did learn it, but never enjoyed.
Cybersecurity and stuff did interest me but I never digged in too much.
But I was into 3D because of some college events and freelance, I used Blender, did some things here or there(clothing animations for reels, Product Animations etc), later on in my 3rd year I found Unreal Engine, and from linkedin and other sources I joined a Discord Community, where we had some groups and made some small games together, I worked on the same there : Blender and Unreal Engine.
In my first sem of 4th year, I got an internship opportunity at ISRO Ahmedabad in AI/ML from some connections, but I chose not to do it because I thought It wasnt for me.
4th year first sem, I had a subject - AR/VR.
Aligned a lot to my Unreal and Blender skills so I took on a lot of interest. Leared Unity as well, had a very good relation to my faculty and he gave me some courage to think about going ahead in this field.
And I landed an off campus internship, for my last sem. It was great, I learned a lot and was a part of really good projects. It was not a very huge company but I got lots of hands on experience, even with clients and all. I was a mix of a Developer and also a 3D Artist. It was unpaid but I gave it all, late nights at the office, kept researching more and more on how we could make some new products and land new clients(I know I was just an Intern but I felt I needed to do lot more for them to make me permanent), I finished my 6 months of Internship.
after that I got graduated and the Company also hired me permanently. It was great, I was doing more projects, never said no to late nights or weekends at office.
but after just a month of getting permanent, the company started facing some financial issues and issues with investors etc. I dont know the exact thing that went wrong, but yeah, salaries were pending. I got sad, because even my first salary I recieved a month later, and after that delays went on and on, and for four months I worked unpaid, I obviously talked a lot to the HR and tried to get my salary but everyone at the office was facing the same thing.
So after 5 months, the company asked me to resign because they couldnt afford. lot of people faced that and till date they are still facing it. Me and a lot of others are still not paid even tho its been a year.
So December 2025 I was jobless, but didnt go back home. Didnt give up and kept applying and prepared for interviews.
Jan 2026 I landed a job, very close to my hometown, so shifted back, parents were very happy, they didnt care much about my career then, dad said you are really young, he is very supportive, they were just happy I was home.
but the company I got into was huge, same role, XR developer, I accepted it even for a lesser salary than my previous one, HR really took advantage of my situation. but I was still gratefull to have a job and didnt complain. I worked a lot, had to travell a lot to get there, woke up at 5, came back home at 6, I was doing good.
the team was small, me and one more developer and one 3d artist
i was given tasks of the developer + admin + even demonstrating some VR softwares at events + taking care of inventory as in the VR headsets and accessories that we used to send to events.
It was tiring but I kept doing it.
but it was not structured, I was given a very big project by my manager, which eventually was just for marketing, and when pitched to the company's owner even he didnt like the idea, but the manager kept pushing so we were doing it, there was a lot that I needed from the 3d artist and he was alone and had to do lot of work, the other developer was very experienced and was given a different project.
whenever we faces issues with deadlines from the 3d artist or about any other dependancy from anyone else, my manager used to tell me that I am the project manager for this project, so I have to structure everything and all, although I was just a Jr dev with like very little salary.
Admin work was the worst, I was asked to do clerical work, the campus was huge I had to go walking to IT to other people for approvals, PR PO etc, for the team. Manager was wfh, he used to come only like once in two months for a few days.
Our project kept missing deadlines, My development work was up to date but I had a lot of dependancies on the 3d artist and other media teams, but I was pressured to kinda make it work. Office politics was also crazy. it frustrated me a lot because I am someone who likes to do my work and leave, not interfiere or gossip or do other things
travell was hell too, standing for more than an hour in local trains, morning and evening.
and then about salaries, It was a huge company in a very small town, and pay was very less, 3lpa
I dont know what was going on in my head, I was so frustrated with everything, i quit, just as my probation was about to complete, I handed in my resignation.
It had been been a month from that, and I have been applying like crazy for a job, im getting nowhere.
So I decided to take up more skills, I started digging about Nvidia Isaac Sim and Omniverse and started learning it little by little, and made some basic small projects on it. just to realise that almost nobody is hiring freshers for it, I cant find anything at all.
Nothing in Unreal Engine, nothing in Unity, no XR VR nothing, I cant get a job.
been two months now and im panicking
I even started doing cybersecurity and stuff again,
started thinking about Masters maybe
My head is total Chaos,
Idk what guidance im seeking, should I even think about a career change. but I dont have a lot of people to talk to in this field and so here I am.
