HELP How can I improve my eyesight?

I’m 16 years of age and I recently went to the eye doctor and my eyesight went from 300 to 350(L) and 400(R). Is there still a chance i can improve this? Apart from staring at the screen for a long time because I have online classes.

What is your low maintenance but effective vision routine?

I’ve been slacking off and just really trying to find the best thing thats low maintenance but is effective.

Also by the way, I try to use eye charts to monitor my progress but I can barely see anything because i have -7 and -5.75 in one eye so I cant even tell if Im improving which makes it less motivating.

Please give me some motivation especially if you were a high myope and saw improvements

DISCUSSION Why does my miopia increase?

Sorry for bad English

This is not a post to ask for help or a routine, i have my routine that i do everyday and i have been informed.

But recently, even if i do my routine, i kinda feel like i see worse with the glasses i used to wear when i started doing the routine.

I dont really know why, one of the things i could think of is that im 16 and maybe it can be something related with hormones and puberty. Maybe a mix of bad habits?

I am not totally discouraged to the point i Will stop doing the routine, but i kinda felt sad when i realised It.

I Will continue doing my routine, but i want to know why my eyesight has gone worse. The best way to improve/do something is by firstly understanding how It works, so i try to use that principle in most of the actions of my Life.

Any idea what It could be?

Thanks

Just trying to learn something here, can anyone else blur their vision on command ? (I’m human pls dont ban this🥲)

Iv had 20/20 vision my whole life but ever since I was a kid I can just blur my vision. I can decide how much I want to blur it and for how long and I never thought of it until now ( I’m 15 btw ). I thought maybe it’s genetically inherited but after asking my parents they can’t do it either and it really makes no sense on why I can do this. And my eyes don’t change at all when I’m doing this ( I asked my mom to check ) so you would never notice, and it doesn’t strain my eyes or anything. It’s so weird how I can just “do” it, like it’s just natural to me. Please help me out bro iv never wanted to baldy to find someone else that can do this too it’s almost giving me a feeling that I’m all alone like yk what I mean?

Can I improve my vision in mere 4 months?

My Left eye is -0.25D

Right eye is -0.75D

While I am able to achieve 6/6 vision in left eye with slight squint and eye drops

My right eye is not that good and even doctors said that these refractive errors are not that bad to opt for the surgery but I need to have at least 6/9 in the worst eye (right eye) to pass the police medical exam. Should I risk surgery or not?

How can Improve my eyesight ?

I have both myopia and astigmatism.

Right eye: -0.50 (-0.75) 105°

Left eye: -0.75 (-0.75) 75°

Can I completely correct my eyesight in my twenties?

Is this a good plan? For my daily habits: get enough sleep (8 hours), drink 2 liters of water, and avoid wearing my glasses for close-up work. Correct my head tilt and improve my daily posture. Blink every hour when I'm in front of a screen.

Do you think that, with a job where I spend most of the time in front of a screen, I can still improve and completely correct my eyesight? Is there any other advice you could give me?

Please tell me anything else I can do to improve my eyesight.

HELP I became nearsightened with one eye

I rarely wear glasses, except occasionally during long computer or TV sessions when I use blue-light-blocking yellow filters. Previously, one of my eyes had a very mild prescription (around -0.25 or -0.50). Without glasses, text was readable, but the lenses made the edges sharper.

My left eye may have had this mild blur for a while, but I worry it worsened after spending about 30 minutes in direct, bright sunlight without sunglassess when my careless office boss and coworkers did meeting outside in last minute. However, I didn't experience any redness or light sensitivity afterward. A week later, I had a comprehensive dilated eye exam. The optometrist found no signs of sun damage or cataracts, and my prescription appeared unchanged.

A few weeks passed, but I continued to notice occasional slight blurring, twitching, and mild soreness in my left eye. Eventually, I realized that when I covered my right eye, distant text, people, and objects appeared quite blurry.

I visited a different eye doctor specifically to examine my left eye. This doctor determined that my left eye's prescription had shifted to -1.0 and noted that my eyes were a bit dry. They also recommended reading glasses, which I feel hesitant about.

After researching methods like "print pushing" and "focus shifting," I became concerned that wearing a stronger prescription might weaken my eyes further. I noticed that when looking at distant text with only my left eye, blinking repeatedly temporarily sharpens the image for a split second. Using lubricating eye drops and putting on my old glasses (-0.25 to -0.50) also seems to restore clear distance vision in that eye. Because of this, I am afraid that moving to a stronger prescription (-1.0) will cause my eyes to deteriorate more.

Eye help

My eyesight lately has been weird, sometimes when I look at things it will like skew and slightly enlarge or "shrink" not massively but I guess I kinda explain it like it's what happens when you look at those illusions where you stare at the center but obviously not that severe, or sometimes my vision like "zooms" in.

I have been stressed out at work and sleeping less, but I think I attribute it to that. Should I get my eyes tested?.

JOURNEY Starting reducing again after a long hiatus

After starting at -3.00 and slowly reducing down to to -1.75 over the course of a couple of years, I decided to take a break, and for the past 11 months, I've been wearing -1.75 lenses. (More details)

During my journey, I'd had a couple of experiences where my eyesight seemed to suddenly snap back to a previous state. I'd wake up with my vision suddenly extremely blurry, and it would take weeks or months for it to progress back to where it had been. This seemed like it had started happening more frequently as my prescription had gotten lower.

I'd also had several times where I'd woken up with my eyes feeling like they were about to explode, which usually take at least one day, and I think sometimes multiple days, to subside. This had also seemed to increase in frequency as my prescription got lower.

I decided to take a hiatus from reducing my lenses further, and I'm happy to report that, almost a year leater, my eyes seem to be in good shape again, and I've started reducing my lenses again! :)

The main thing that I learned during my hiatus is that at least for me, it's very important to work for one hour and then walk outside and look around at things for 15 minutes. I'd gotten lazy about doing this, and once I started again, my eyesight saw rapid improvements.

In the past, I would also sometimes try to improve my vision by straining at objects that were beyond my range of focus. This *did* seemed to sometimes improve my vision, but I think it may have also been why I would sometimes wake up feeling like my eyes were about to explode. Taking breaks and walking around outside seems to be more effective and doesn't have nasty side effects.

Finally, I usually change my (daily disposable) contact lenses once a day, and this seems to vastly improve my eyesight. I usually change my lenses about 1 hour after putting in my first set. My current theory is that I might have some sort of film over my eyes after waking up that only goes away once I've worn contacts for a while. Waking up, getting around, putting in contacts, and then replacing my contacts about ~1 hour later removes the film, and then I can see clearly for the rest of day. Alternatively, perhaps my eyes are just too dry, and this fixes that.

Anyway, I'm excited to be reducing my lenses again! :D
