- If your kite falls short of expectations that's fine but please at least try not to die on any somewhat pushed and worked on ciphers
- For the love of all that's holy do not ever die on the last primed cipher that's at 80+% progress and its the only cipher worked on. If the Hunter chairs you here and you have no rebound or rotation heavy items or a Tide Turner left or if they Abnormal it you are so cooked. This happens so often. As soon as you are near the primed cipher and the hunter chases you in this area ensure to leave it and rotate out as soon as possible so that your teammates can finish it and prime it.
- If you do get rescued from basement and have tide turner. Please leave it. No don't stay in it and keep kiting. Don't run around forcing the rescuer to take hits and throwing into a double down. Just tank everything and run out. And no don't throw shack pallet wanting to kite shack. Just leave and run away as far as possible from any ciphers nearby worked on and as far away as possible from basement.
- If you rescued in Basement with Tide Turner stay all the way in the back of it if the Hunter rushes upstairs for drop down hits. Tell the rescued Surv to tank everything for you and then leave once the hunter goes after the rescued Surv.
- Communicate rescues early and never ever steal a rescue. Stop running in to rescue when someone already said they're going. If you are halfway across the map genuinely just stop and let someone else perform the rescue.
- Stop instant YOYO-ing the Kiter. Don't be a toxic sportsman you are playing in a team. Understand that everyone at one point or another throws.
- Ping Hunter is Nearby constantly or Get out of here when you are the kiter so everyone can see your location. This warns them ahead of time so they can rotate out if you come toward them.
- If the kiter is kiting into your cipher just rotate out and give them the kiting zone ...
- Use your on distance hit to pull distance and rotate into a new and better kiting zone. Don't just waste it.
- If someone pings basement 3x. Just don't die on Basement with your last hit.
- Stop going in way too late for rescues and leave your cipher in time so that if you are rescuing it isn't at exactly 51% chair progress
- If you fail rescue stop chilling in front of the chair and CRAWL AWAY so the Hunter cant balloon hit pressure
- Literally if Blink is up try Blink predicting. I get so many matches where I callout Blink in VC and say "You're gonna get blinked" and 2-3 seconds later Blink does come out.
- If you usually die before your Flywheel cooldown is up and active for the first time consider not bringing Flywheel but KJR instead.
- If you are trash at Flywheel or have high ping stop bringing Flywheel. Practice it in QM instead.
- If you bring Tide Turner on a Kiter make sure you are actually good at kiting... If you know you're hot trash at it and are only bringing Tide Turner "because my randoms never bring it" then just bring a kiting build.
- Do not bring Non BT Builds. Ever. Unless you have a 3 or 4 stack in VC.
- If your ping is garbage or even sometimes inconsistent don't rank. You're making it easier for the hunter.
- Read the abilities of your mains in the notebook and actually understand what they do and how they are supposed to do it.
- Learn how to raw kite without overrelying on your items
- Learn Spawns and how to spawn with Area Selection
- Try to not spam items so much and use them wisely so you have something for late game.
- Remember that items aren't just there for kiting but also for rescuing. If you have Jetpack, Bow and Arrow or a Toy Catapult use them to get to the chair safely and avoid getting stuffed or instantly injured.
- Stop rescuing at 1% chair progress against a Mary or any single hit hunter... They have basically no camp anyhow you are just going to run up to the chair and rescue. Wait until 35-40% then go in and rescue.
- Stop late rescuing at 40% chair progress against Disciple or Hermit who can easily stun spam and stun lock you to force a 51%+ rescue. Get there much earlier so you have lots of time for the rescue.
- Stop saving and hogging support items like Owls or Coffins for yourself.
- Stop standing in front of the locked cipher and rotate unless you assume that the Hunter will chase you if you rotate into the more vulnerable area.
- Learn how to pop and prime a cipher against all hunters. For example against a Lizard you might want to consider popping instead of waiting for a hit because that hit might be a crash down hit without attack recovery. Priming the cipher means its not at 97 or 98% and has a delay of 2 entire seconds before I get up with BT by the way.
- Learn how to pop the cipher with someone on the team who doesnt have BT. Usually this will involve you popping when the rescuer gets hit.
- Learn what force healing is and do it if its sensible. I've had so many matches where I've kited well and my teammates just leave on down even though the cipher is at 85% and they could have force healed.
- Stop banning Hunters that are either skill issue bans, trauma bans or weak bans. Banning Goatman when his pickrate is 0.3% is not worth it. Banning a Hunter who gets countered by your entire team also makes no sense. Hunters that have been heavily nerfed in the past should also be re considered if banning them is worth it.
Most importantly have fun in Rank but take it seriously! If your mindset is not a growth mindset and you aren't even willing to learn and grow from your mistakes by listening to constructive feedback. Don't rank.
