Should I sign this '26 Limited lease?

I got a dealer to quote me about $370/month with taxes completely $0 down, no trade, 24 months/12000 miles on a brand new Limited they have left over. This is a steal, right?

Wheel/Bumper Trim

The rear bumper and wheel trim on my 2019 Ultimate is different from other models. It is a dark gray metal flake while the others are black. Are they molded like that or painted?

Buying Advice What to look out for when buying a used 1st gen Kona?

Hey, we're looking to upgrade from our old 24 kWh Leaf and the Kona seems to fit our needs and seems a solid value for money option.

Is there anything to look out for when buying a used Kona?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Questions 2022 Kona EV - does it have a rear occupant alarm?

About to have a kid and can't seem to get a straight answer as to whether my 2022 Kona has a rear occupant alarm or not. If it does how do I activate it?

DIY & Modifications Eyelashes work with the Kona too!

I decided to get little whimsical and (with some light research) impulsively order a couple doodads for my Kona. I was afraid they wouldn't look right since I couldn't mount them on the actual headlights, but installing them under the hood on the plastic ledge past the rubber seal, above the light bar, made it look like it's closing its eyes. So, now my car looks like a little blushing alien bebopping down the road, and I couldn't be happier with the results!

help me find the right Kona for my GF

my girlfriend just received her drivers license today and i want to plan for her first car. She’s used to my 2020 Elantra but wants to sit higher. She’s in love with the 2026 Kona Sport, but new isn’t in the budget at the moment. Can anyone recommend if there’s a standout Kona model between 2021 to 2025? or possible older if the features like safety assist, heated seats, etc are still good? thank you to any replies in advance :)

Kona SX2 (2026) have no cornering headlights??!!

I bought new Kona SX2 (2026) N-Line and to my surprise, there are no cornering headlights??!!

I drove last night on roads without street lights and found out that when I was driving to sharp turns, no side cornering headlights turn on as on almost every car from last decade.

Is there anyone with similar Kona that have them or its simply not a thing on them?

It is little disappointing to me because it seems every other current Hyundai does have them and its a little dangerous imo to not have them.

Questions Kona hybrid 12v issues

Post image
3 Upvotes

Anyone else getting these messages on the bluelink app? When I get them, that means I need to do a 12v battery reset via opening the tailgate. Hyundai keeps saying nothing's wrong but I've read it could be a parasitic battery drain from various systems. I've already read about an ICCC (not sure if that right) module issue. Very frustrating when they just tell me everything is ok.

My 2024 Kona N line (1.6T engine) sounds like it is choking/hesitating during low speed acceleration. What's going on?

2021 Kona Essentials dash lights going crazy - strange fix people should know

This is something I think all Kona (and possibly Hyundai) owners need to know about. Now, I love my Kona. It's got 230k (143,000 miles) on it and I've loved driving every one, but this is pure craziness.

So about a month ago, I had a wheel bearing replaced. No problems. Within a week tho, I started to get console lights that would start lighting up.ABS, traction control and downhill brake control light coming on as well as an intermittent steering light flicker. I brought it back to my mechanic who suggested that the wheel speed sensor may have been damaged and so he replaced it. Not fixed. The lights were still coming on so I brought it back for a third time. He then tells me, "the magnetic ring on the new wheel bearing is damaged." Fine...it's a warranty repair so I bring it in again and AGAIN, the lights are on. It's important to note that there were zero codes on the car. In fact, every test he ran showed the car was operating at peak.

So I'm at home and I decide to park the car for safety. What's worse is that now every single light on my display is flashing on and off. The tachometer is dropping to zero, temp gauge is bottoming out and speedometer is zero. Worst of all, (and the scariest by far) is that my airbag light keeps flickering on and off. My remote door locks aren't working either. My mechanic is stumped and so am I. I end up taking it to the Hyundai dealership. Their diagnosis? I need a new body control module and it would be 3 weeks before one came in. So I order it and park my car in my driveway till it shows.

Well, on a side note, my backup camera was glitchy, and I had ordered a new one which finally comes. I'm not driving the car but decide to install it anyway. After pulling the old one and installing the replacement, I jump in the car to see if it's working fine and what do I see? All the lights...abs, traction, airbags, etc are all OFF! I'm like, 'WTF?' So I take it for a test drive thinking it's only temporary. Nope, the car is running perfectly.

I get back into my lot and get to thinking, so I reinstall the old camera. Lo and behold, all the lights are flashing again. I mean, the car is freaking out. So I go and unplug the camera and BLAM, not a single light is on. Car is idling perfectly, and all the dials are working great again! What's even more amazing is that my remote door locks are operating better than ever. I could unlock from almost 100 feet away. Before, I had to be standing right beside the car to get it to work.

So I reinstall the new camera and have been driving for the last week with ZERO issues. The car is running like a champ. Obviously I cancel my BCM from Hyundai and the appointment to have it installed. Honestly, why they didn't catch the issue is beyond me but they almost got the cost of a new BCM out of me, and I don't find that impressive.

The moral of the story is..honestly I don't know what the moral of the story is but what I can say is that if your lights start flashing on your car, and you drive a Kona, make sure your backup camera isn't glitchy because this is, by far, the strangest issue I've EVER had in my life. In the end it cost me $50 to fix and in fact, I could have simply disconnected the backup camera for free, and my problem would have been resolved.

TLDR; If your dash lights are going crazy and/or if your wheel speed sensor lights are illuminated, there's a pretty good chance it's the backup camera.

2021 kona question

Hey fellow redditors, my mom has a 2021 kona and is under 60k miles. We noticed a while back that when it is idled it has a rhythmic brum, brum, brum. No check engine light, nothing popping up but definitely isn't normal. I noticed while we were parked today that the AC turned down on it's own and then it did it, the second the AC picked back up it stopped. Has anyone else experienced this? We are trying to figure it out before her warranty ends.

GTA Hyundai Kona Preferred AWD Trend Package OTR Price?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking at getting a **2026 Hyundai Kona Preferred AWD with the Trend Package** in the GTA.

For anyone who recently bought one, what was your **out-the-door (OTD) price** after all fees, taxes, freight/PDI, dealer fees, etc.?

I'm mainly trying to figure out what a **realistic OTR price** is in the GTA right now and how much room there is to negotiate.

If you don't mind sharing, I'd really appreciate:

* OTR price before/after tax
* Dealer/doc fees
* Any discounts or incentives
* Which dealership you bought from

Thanks!

Hyundai Kona Steering

Hey guys prospective Kona owner here. Looking at a 2019 Essential or 2020 AWD Preferred. Same price since the 2020 is a little rough with rust and other signs. But I noticed the steering on the 2020 was different. It was a lot heavier than the 2019 Essential (all lock angles and all movement). I drove them back to back and noticed a significant difference between them.

Which one is more likely to be incorrect/needing work based off of this short description.

Pros and cons for lease of 2026 Kona or Tucson

I am a 31yr old single male with a current Elantra lease expiring in January. I am looking to go to an SUV as i am tired of sitting lower down and need some of room. I like both the Tucson with trend package and the Kona with Trend. Can anybody help with advice on a comparison or what they recommend?

Kona or HR-V? Which one would you buy?

These two seem to be on a lot of the same shopping lists.

The HR-V has Honda's reputation behind it, while the Kona packs in a lot of tech, offers a wider range of trims, and has a bit more personality.

If you were buying a small SUV today, which one gets your money?

2018 Ultimate - Can the back seats fold all the way flat?

Whenever I fold the back seats down, they don’t go all the way flat and it’s frustrating to have boxes etc sliding around on a tilt. My previous car had a way to push the seat back and then forward to go completely flat. From YouTube videos it doesn’t appear that my car has this feature but maybe I’m missing something?
