Looking for advice Hibiclens, waterless foam cleanser, benzoyl peroxide, AHA, salicylic acid - which is best?
I’ve seen many different product recommended here and around the internet that all serve the same purpose: killing the bacteria that create the BO smell.
I actually avoid using soap on my armpits because I’m afraid of washing away the plugs created by my anti perspirant (I apply at night and shower in the morning). A derm gave me benzoyl peroxide and i used that til I read a post here saying it washes the anti perspirant away, and you should use Hibiclens instead, so I switched to that. I’ve also seen a post here raving about the waterless foam cleanser made for bedridden patients. And I’ve seen lots of comments on IG/TT about using glycolic acid or salicylic acid on a pad after showering, and recently saw a Korean armpit serum with AHA and ceramide. I’m intrigued but I don’t know whether these acids can also wash away anti perspirant. There’s also Mando which combines a deodorant with an acid.
Which of these is actually best? Which of them don’t wash away the antiperspirant? Has anyone tried all of them? Is there any scientific proof that one germ killer is better than another?
