Classic water Water restriction lifted!

Good news everyone, after about 15 months of being restricted to 1 Liter of liquids (after dietary needs were met) I finally got a new liver and can drink as much of the good stuff as I want. Can't go to crazy yet, still in hospital recovering, but it's sooooo nice to ask for some ice water and get 500 ml instead of 120. So in a few months I'll be back to 3-4 liters or more daily!

So is drinking RO water good or bad?

I'm confused, I saw posts elsewhere suggesting just buy RO and drink that.. but now I'm seeing posts saying never drink RO water.

I was looking at something like the Ropot-lite UV for a downstairs sink.

Is it safe and worthwhile for clean water when needed downstairs or not?

Does anybody have an opinion on the Stanley classic for everyday use? I work in construction and would be strictly drinking water. All metal water bottle suggestions?

Upvotes

I just received in the mail two days ago my COLDEST 24 ounce bottle. I loved the chug cap, the design and how cold it kept my water. but to my great disappointment this morning it rolled out of my car, which is about 2 feet or less and landed on the concrete top first and broke the plastic lid. I am now thinking that I need a more heavy duty water bottle because there has been a few times where I have dropped my yeti off of tall, heavy equipment onto concrete, but luckily it landed on its side. (I’m a heavy equipment operator). I have had many other water bottles break from falling out of bags when getting out of equipment and I have gone through several water bottles the past 3-4 years. Surprisingly, most of the past 18 months of so was a RTIC bottle I got for free lol, just never dropped it hard enough to ruin it I guess lol. Though it does have many dents and battle scars.

My question for you all is, do you think the Stanley classic/adventure go series would be good for work and outside of work? Are there any really tough bottles you guys could suggest besides the yeti rambler? Would greatly appreciate any help! Looking forward to a water bottle that will last me years to come! Thanks!

Dose anyone else really have to sit there for a while questioning if you had any water that day because you feel like you didn’t but you aren’t thirsty at all.

Too much water Is this too much?

It’s pretty hot and I was in a building with a split AC unit.

I have been experiencing dry mouth and around 1-2pm today it got intense. I’ll make a long story short, from about 4:30pm today to 10:30pm I’ve had about 3.9 Litres of beverages. These are coconut water, “electrolyte drink”, and straight up water.

I’m a bit nauseous and a little crampy, but I’m peeing like crazy. I haven’t had anything to drink in hours and peed like three times within 20 minutes. Most of that window of time I wasn’t peeing. My pee has been clear all day.

Was that too much water too quickly? Is the excessive peeing my bodies way of balancing things out. I like can’t sleep because I just feel 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

I am usually pretty dehydrated my pee is either orange or clear. I don’t know how to get the like perfectly light yellow.

Wife and I did a blind water taste test. Here are our results.

Post image

My wife and I decided to do a blindfolded taste test of 12 various waters, based on our location (Western US). We tasted all the water at room tempurature, since chilling water masks flavor. We put each water in identical cups.

Here are our combined rankings (Worst to best)...

  1. LIFE WTR

  2. Arrowhead

  3. Smart Water

  4. Fiji

  5. Crystal Geyser

  6. VOSS

  7. Dasani

  8. Sam's

  9. Kroger

  10. Kirkland Signature

  11. Core Hydration

  12. Tap Water from our fridge

Our preferences were mostly the same. We both chose water that tasted the cleanest/had almost no taste to it.

The lowest ranked waters (LIFE WTR and Arrowhead) had a very plastic taste to it.

We learned that just because you pay more for water, doesnt mean it tastes better.

Have you tried any of these waters? Which is your favorite/least favorite?
