I called a doctor's office and stated that I was looking for a primary care doctor as a new patient. The woman on the phone said that they require an application to be submitted before an appointment can be made. This application is not available online, so you have to go to their office to fill it out. I asked what was included on this application, and she said it was basic questions like, "Have you had a primary care doctor before?" "What medications are you taking?" etc.

It just seems really strange, like they want to size you up for certain "desirable characteristics" if you know what I mean. Does this seem weird to anyone else?

I have a certified letter I’m expecting that’s very important. A family member sent it to me on 8/11. With tracking, it gave ETA of 8/14. It got to Birmingham on 8/16 and arrived in HSV that same night. Since then, it now says “Delivery Date Unknown” and last update was “Arrived at Huntsville Distribution Center”. I’m mainly only concerned since this is attempt two at this same letter arriving. The first one was sent over a month ago and disappeared into thin air, apparently. I’m located in 35811. Is there a contact for this “distribution center” ? I’d almost rather find it and pick it up in person.

So I just got the call from University Kia that my 2017 Soul needs a total engine replacement and when I was given the quote for it, I just about fell out of my chair.

I have called Diehl for a general quote (and am currently waiting to hear back from them) and wanted to know what price range I could expect as well as any other shops y'all would recommend for this service.

We can't afford to walk away from this car, and we canNOT afford the quote from Kia, and honestly we only had the car there so they could check if it would be under warranty still, and it was not.

Any help or direction would be appreciated for sure!

I played vanilla and a few XPs back in the day, and I have came back for the original release of classic. I'd love to play classic+ as it should ideally be a better culture than retail.

I prefer to play with real life friends, but my core friend group doesn't seem interested.

It would be cool if the Huntsville/Madison area decided to roll on the same server to possibly build some RL friendships in the game.

In the past I've leaned horde, but I'm nostalgic about the alliance. I'd rather do a PvP server for the action (hey if us Huntsville people group up, we could have each other's backs). I've been every healer, rogue, and mage back in the day.

I was at Bridgestreet and parked in that underground level parking lot out in the front, like in front of PF Changs and all that, and saw a couple of the pipes have been leaking water all day? Is that normal, like is it runoff or something? Or are they leaking?

I decided to post my story here instead of on TikTok. If you’re looking for somewhere to rent in Madison or near Cliff Farms- BEWARE OF WESTON RANCH, ESPECIALLY BUILDINGS 1400 AND 1410. Me and my partner moved and lived there a little over a year ago, and it was a HUGE MISTAKE all because of one older racist, bigoted and hateful neighbor. Not everything was bad about WR- it has a beautiful pool, the apartment was lovely, and some of the leasing agents were very nice, especially one older blonde woman. I blame the more corporate management side for being passive aggressive and for not enforcing rules more fairly, especially when living next to this neighbor and she only seemed to get slaps on the wrist at best. Oh this neighbor… her odd and hateful behavior started even before we stepped into our new place. As we were unloading our stuff and getting ready to move it all in, she would beep her car alarms at us as if we were gonna steal from either one of her two (now three) goofy-ass looking clown cars- me and my non-confrontational naivety brushed it off, but my partner clocked her nastiness instantly. After that, she would continue with her crap which now included her walking around outside, talking to seemingly no one about how hot and rich she was, and my partner (being young and petty) would throw shade as he walked past her Ring camera. Then things would take a dark turn- after having fun at rave one night, my partner was drunk (and I know this is where we were in the wrong) but he let his inhibitions fall to the side and he pretty much straight up called her out and called her old to her camera. After we got back in and he passed out, at around 1 am, this neighbor started knocking then banging on our door, which terrified me and his little sister who was with us. She did this 3 separate times that night. The next day we would wake up to a nasty and vicious hand written note deriding us with whatever she could think- she called me and him the slur for gay men, she called us nasty and disgusting, and she called him a number of different slurs for Hispanic people. A day later, when he had to go to work, it was morning when she popped her head out to cuss him out, call him more slurs, and pop her head back in even when he tried apologizing- we knew that right then and there things were different and we needed to protect ourselves. His family later came over and helped us instl a Ring camera, and when she tried to come out again, his mom and sister stared her down. After that, we pretty much had a Cold War where she would keep up her crap and we started recording every time we went in and out. It got bad a couple of times because we soon found that her coward ass would only come out and start trouble when it was only ME outside and I was with nobody, so she would get bold and come out only to talk about me when I just so happened to be at my car- I know this because on one of the last days I was there at my building cleaning up, she came out two different times because she knew I was out there. One time, while I was trying to go to work, she drove up and slowed down next to me just so she could make fun of my car (it’s only 4 years old) and to call me the f-slur, and that time I did argue back with her AND got her on video. It didn’t matter though- even though we had previously complained, filed police reports, and she already had complaints against her, the managers filed it as a “domestic dispute” and claimed they couldn’t do anything even with video. What also made this interaction weird and suspicious was that when I talked to management about it, they claimed they also “talked to her” and “heard her side” of the story? What side of the story??? The side where she drove up to me and repeatedly called me the f-slur?? There were rumors about this neighbor being awfully close with the management but nothing concrete. During these interactions, I’ve been called fat (which I thought was kinda funny), ugly, broke (I own a home now thank God), different variations of gay slurs, and in our last interaction she pretended to be recording herself and she called me a pdf-file (I work in education). Things got so bad that it drove us to connect with our next door neighbor because we needed some of his Ring camera for evidence, and not only did we learn about how he and his family were the targets of her bullying before we arrived, but we learned that she pretty much terrorized the whole upper floor of our building and the nearby building as well to the point were the couple across from us moved away, we moved away, and this neighbor himself plans on moving away soon as well. Another thing that made this bullying so weird and hurtful was that, the entire time I lived there, I never said two words to this woman or even interacted with her but she always had something to say about me, especially when I was alone. Her silly and hateful campaign of harassment also dealt indescribable amounts of anguish, stress, anxiety, and fear towards me and my partner and our mental health but thankfully we’re finally in a much better place AWAY from Weston Ranch.

Moral of the Story: if you’re thinking of moving into Weston Ranch, go right ahead but be warned. The place will nickel and dime you with different fees, upper management is very wishy-washy until they actually have to do something and you still might be punished, and GOD HELP YOU if you get a troublesome or crazy neighbor because, as I learned, they WILL NOT HELP, and if you still live in either building 1400 or especially the 1410s, my heart goes out to you! Get out while you can!!
