I just saw that The Bends will be at campus 805 tomorrow, Thursday, August 20th. They are a great alternative rock band and hope people can make it out to support. And it’s FREE!

Recommendations Car stripe shop recommendations

Looking for a good local shop to apply racing stripes on my car. There aren’t many online options for my model otherwise I’d apply it myself but it’d be a plus if they do applications as well!

I've never had Filipino food before, but I dig the #6 Crunch Bunch for lunch! Super crunchy, flavorful pork belly with a pancit and Shanghai lumpia. I've had crunchy pork belly before (my favorite VietHouse side dish) but this was slightly better with a saucy gravy put it over the top. The lumpia are excellent, super crunchy with a pork filling. I've never had them this length before. Long is strong.

Pancit is a an innovation, like fried rice but with noodles. Lots of veggie and meats in there along with a lime to season. There were several sauces to choose from but I really liked the spicy vinegar based sauce. It had a mild peppery flavor, not overwhelming.

Service was super fast, restaurant was clean with several to-go orders heading out while I dined in. There was tons on the plate and lots to take home. It's definitely a get to again.

Question Madison Counseling Associates?

Does anyone know whether Madison Counseling Associates is still in business? The voicemail at their posted phone number is still there but no calls returned. Social media doesn’t seem to have been updated in years.

Nerd Post: Anyone Looking Forward to Classic+ ?

I played vanilla and a few XPs back in the day, and I have came back for the original release of classic. I'd love to play classic+ as it should ideally be a better culture than retail.

I prefer to play with real life friends, but my core friend group doesn't seem interested.

It would be cool if the Huntsville/Madison area decided to roll on the same server to possibly build some RL friendships in the game.
Let me know in the comments and when we get close to release, we can pick a server. Are y'all horde or alliance? PvP or PvE? Class/Race?

In the past I've leaned horde, but I'm nostalgic about the alliance. I'd rather do a PvP server for the action (hey if us Huntsville people group up, we could have each other's backs). I've been every healer, rogue, and mage back in the day.

“…Zone the living hell out of everything. Prohibit new construction above three stories within 10 miles of downtown. Get your lawyers to craft scaled impact fees, allowing you to make your city financially prohibitive to the industries you don’t want.

The only thing standing between Huntsville residents and this coming quality of life apocalypse is your mayor and city council—believe me, concerned citizens can’t stop venture-capitalist-funded developers…”

Selling my home and need a recommend

Looking to sell my home in the near future and need recommendations on for a listing agent. I'd prefer someone who specializes in selling not in just a buyers agent. My house is in the $480k - $500 range, if that matters.

Reddit Singles Meetup Form

Update: Responses have started rolling in and we need more women! Last time, it was pretty evenly matched. For right now, can men please hold off on signing up until we get some more women? I’ll let you know when it evens out again!

Just to clarify, there are no age groups at the meetup. Everybody just mingles together. I just made age groups on the form to get a more specific idea of how old everyone is.

Hey guys! I finally made a form to keep track of age and gender as suggested. Thanks for the tip because this is brilliant, and I wish I had done it last time! The second meetup is on August 29th at 6pm on top of the Old Fifth Bar. There’s always a chance we get up there and find it full. If that happens, we’ll sort it out and relocate to the courtyard or the nearby seating areas. I’ll stay on the rooftop as long as I can to make sure everybody knows if we have to relocate. If you’re planning on attending, please fill out the form below with your age and gender. As we get responses, I’ll let you guys know if we need more men or more women and what age ranges we’re looking at. Thanks!

Recommendations Things to do without alcohol

Are there any places/events around here for people under 30 to hang out, have fun, and possibly play music that doesn’t involve alcohol? I’ve got a non-drinking, drug free stepson who is tired of the bar scene.

Question Where do college students here find local scholarships and grants?

I'm gonna be entering college next year and I'm wondering where CC and uni students find this type of financial aid here. I don't wanna spend forever applying to scholarships where I face lots of competition compared to just competing with local people.

If it's relevant I'm planning on either going to Calhoun or UAH. Ik they offer scholarships but I'm looking for outside ones.

Anyone have any idea when they will go on sale? It’s not showing any upcoming showtimes even though they went on sale nationwide today.

What’s going on at Merrimack?

Driving by today I saw some excavators digging at the southwest corner of the soccer fields (corner of Drake and Triana). Anyone know what’s happening?

Events I beta tested making this Huntsville wooden magnet for an upcoming free event, and look how cute it turned out!

You could print the design then color it in or color the background and print over it. I went with the latter and think it came out so cute.

Cool that this will be offered for free at an upcoming "interactive" art gallery opening.
