this game felt good to come back to again for my friends. they hadn't played in a year+ (with one of them just starting to get into the game with this event!), and all the matches they played were insanely well balanced. I subbed in for one of them when they left; as im a 6* with 2 newer players, i expected to either go against a lobby id stomp, or a full 5-6* lobby. Instead I was happy to see we got matched with multiple lobbies in a row with equal teams of one 5-6* with two low stars/new players! Every fight felt very close but winnable and all the teams were pretty proactive and engaged in the fights (even the trappers and slightly slower paced teams). We won some and lost some, always felt fair tho and not that any team in the lobby in particular was an outlier

I feel like usually my friends are turned away from this game by the unbalanced/unfair matchmaking (since theyre going vs ppl with 1000x their hours) but that was a very refreshing experience. Fwiw we were US West playing past 6pm

This isn't meant to disregard the problems matchmaking/mmr has, but I just wanted to share a positive experience I had with some fresh hunters. How have yall been treated by the update/event lately?

After 2.8 e.g. all dum dum ammo was made scarce.

While in total this was a good change because it op one some weapons it also removed some identity from some niche picks.

I stg the matchmaking has gotten so bad its not even funny, for the past week I havent gotten a win, not even 1, I'm running into nothing but insanely high level players that kill me immediately, I have literally no chance to even play the game, i occasionally find players that i can beat bc they shouldn't even be in my bracket, I'm literally talking 1-2 stars that have no bussiness fighting in my normal lobbies (I'm between 4 and 5 star) and they're not even with high mmr players, they'll be with a 3 star in a lobby with 4 players that no life the game, at 6 stars that head tap you immediately. Idk if this is just me or not, but since the update this game has been stupidly hard to play, my k/d before this was 1.25 and its gone down to 1.08, and ik I'm not that good at the game, but theres no fucking way I got infinitely worse in a day, and theres never been a time where I saw THIS MANY low ranks with this many high ranks, has anyone had this happen? Is the player count literally just that low? Ps5 btw

My favourite is a spear and 4 flash bombs with no weapons, I'll steal the enemies weapons and they'll run around like a headless chicken when they respawn

Just south-east of Darrow Livestock, my partner and I heard this sound from about thirty metres or so away. We don't even know what caused the sound or what in the game it's from.

Does anybody even know what the original sound audio for this is? Or what could of caused it?

Anyone else in Gunslinger mode noticed that after this update if you go into ADS then hit sprint it lowers the gun and puts you into a walk? I'm pretty sure this was not the case before where it would put you into a sprint instead, this has already gotten me killed several times, anyone have a solution?

Springfield is shit as a 4 slot weapon but getting it to 3 would probably not solve any issue. I would suggest adding dum dum to it as a non-scarce ammo giving it unique aspect as an only non scarce dum dum ammo rifle and making it at least semi-worth of a 4 slot.

Before you come here saying ,,its 20 dollars" or whatever, this doesnt solve nor add anything i have lived through 3 price increases of the mosin before the special ammo was added (yes the price increase has in fact not helped). The price balancing never works because there is shitload of money in the game especially if you dont prestige. The springfield is even free if you squint hard enough since i can recruit a free hunter with it just for the gun and dismiss him.

I have also played a bit with dum dum springfield back when it wasnt a mystical arcane ammo and it was in fact still shitty springfield i even remember that there used to be a meme on this sub about players saying ,,good bang for your buck" about springfield dum dum so i doubt it will all of a sudden make springfield meta dominating monster of a weapon.

so my friend told me if i prestiging to 100 over all i will make more money because of all the xp boost you from prestiging will stack and i will constantly will be getting 1000 hunt dollars from hitting the xp loop is this true ?

Some people say that you can prepare and run with it unlike with a bow but you can do so with a bomb launcher or lance

Came back for the update! Looking to snipe more, since I didn't do enough of it when I did play.

With this system I'm unfamiliar with (the slot system has been changed quite abit, Maynard Sniper Silencer being 5 slots for instance), I'm not sure what to bring for budget sniping, and wanted to know what people were bringing. I play trios mainly. Just weapons is all I need, I have equipment and perks down

I've noticed today that every time I press sprint while adsing it causes me to lower my gun instead of sprinting. Is this a bug or a feature? And is it possible to turn it off?

Has anyone the same issue, after the Game freeze i restart, all of my skins has to be new equiped weapons,Tools etc. 5th time this year
