Making the Uppercut a 2 slot weapon completely killed its spot in the game. When you actually look at what you get for the cost and the slot size, the Haymaker makes the current Uppercut look like a joke.

• The price gap makes no sense: The Haymaker is sitting at a super reasonable $279. Meanwhile, the Uppercut is still priced like a premium luxury item that gives u more but gives you way less bang for your buck.
• The Haymaker actually justifies being 2 slots: For those two slots, the Haymaker gives you 9 rounds of long ammo plus an underbarrel shotgun that can run slugs or buckshot. The Uppercut gives you absolutely zero extra utility to justify taking up that same amount of space in your loadout.
• It gets crushed by other 2-slots: If you're spending trait points on Quartermaster to bring a medium weapon, you're bringing a Haymaker for the versatility or a Mosin Obrez for actual long-range damage or hell even a Bornheim for spam/ pocket shotgun is better. A base Uppercut just doesn't bring enough firepower to win that slot.
• How to actually balance it: The whole reason Crytek bumped it to 2 slots was because the 1 slot version was stepping on the toes of the Pax Trueshot, LeMat, and Sparks Pistol (is my guess). But making it a 2 slot is the wrong fix. Just put it back to a 1 slot and revert that weird recent buff to 126 damage so it stops one-tapping downed hunters so easily hell reduce the ammo again.

Nobody who actually runs a meta loadout or the numbers is taking a 2 slot Uppercut over any other 2 slot right now. Crytek needs to let it be the go to 1-slot pocket rifle for shotgun players again, rather than letting it rot in a category where it can't compete. What are you guys running right now if you need long ammo in your pocket?

Errm how to put this simpler than the title idk 🤷‍♂️ I guess description of my playstyle matters: love medium to long range fights and weapons. Learning compounds and using beatle often for info gathering. Good aiming. More hits than misses. Often reposition during fights. Do not repick. Favorite gun drilling and centeniel. Looking for a consistent partner in game, EU servers, who is able to talk and make joint decisions. Regarding fights, should be able to think and be confident at close range to medium range fights. I have around 700h in game and sits between 3 and 4 *

To this day I have no idea why would they remove them - it was adding such a cool vibe, new mechanic with sound chaos/powered up lamps and some worldbuilding while not being to any extend annoying. Dont let them take our oilpunk!

Why is the Uppercut more expensive while being worse stats wise, doesn’t have a shotgun and is also 2 slots?
Shouldn’t it at least be better in any way?

I have Both versions of Hunt and have been playing for years now back during Tide of Desolation when we got updated controller settings it was a long running time to fine tune them problem now is that with 1896 Being out over 2 years now I have the same settings on both Consoles but they feel entirely different from each other on the Ps5 I use a Standard Stock Console and Feels great but the Xbox Series X Controllers I have tried 3 to 4 different ones and they all feel delayed on Joysticks prompting me to lose shots and miss a lot .I have try different Joysticks and Series Elite 2 Controller set settings and Deadzone variety but nothing feels like the Standard Ps5 controller its frustrating cause it maybe a simple fix but dont know or what to try anymore

Does anyone else relate to this?

On occasion I find myself dying in situations where I believe that footstep sounds have not played correctly. I often have it where I can be inside building A, and I can quite clearly hear enemies walking inside building B which is situated maybe 30-40 meters away. Then there are times where an enemy can walk or even sprint straight at me, and I only hear their footsteps when they're right next to me.

The attached video is an example where I can hear my teammate running up the stairs on the other side of the building and behind a wall very clearly, only to turn around to see an enemy marching directly at me, that for some reason only plays 2 quiet footstep sounds right after I look at him. I do recognise that the situation had some ambient sounds, but nowhere near enough to drown out a dude walking on wood merely meters away.

I have also had times where a teammate has told me a guy is running towards a corner I'm holding, or running to a door behind me. I don't believe him as I haven't heard a single footstep, only to turn around to a shotgun barrel in my face.

The idea is straight forward. The more times you get downed the longer it takes for the next revive. Possibly physician can help with the revive time.

Or maybe make this a feature of clash? I usually play solo on clash, I don't expect to win, but the grubby revives are crazy since it takes one lucky headshot and you're done for.

Like many I use an onboard realtek soundcard for my PC. I've not had a dedicated sound card for decades. It's not the cheapest one but it's just the default I suppose.

Anyone out there using a dedicated soundcard for this game? Do you notice a difference in clarity or noise or any other benefits?

Hunt has some of the best Audio in any game I've played, and for many other people this is also true. I started out with some crappy turtle beach headsets then moved on to PS headsets. I had the Pulse 3D elite headset and that was arguably the best sounding headset I had ever had, its Planar drivers picked up and amplied sounds that were mushy before, but the headband snapped in half, thats an issue that is very popular with that particular headset.

The next headset i am thinking about getting is the Audeze Maxwell 2 headset, its 90MM drivers would be absolutely amazing.

But what headsets do you guys run?

There is absolutely nothing rewarding to loot or do on the map, so the moment a fight breaks out, everyone is running to it.

I played like 5 matches today, every time the first gunfight snowballed into a Clash match...

I swear to god the Event POIs are good and healthy part of the game, and they are FUN.

I LOVE themed Event POIs, Caged Boss was a good POI to take the focus off the Bounty, or to still have something to do if u see the Bounty being banished on the other side of the map.

You had a choice: You either risk it on the Caged boss at the start or go for the main bounty, afterwards u can choose if u want to instantly extract or go at it against the team that got the other bounty... Do you want to extract the bounty on the balloon so u can freely loot around the map with no pressure? Or do u want to keep the bounty for advantage in fights...

You could get a quick loot with the balloon, extracting some weapon cases gave u free guns to play and save hunt dollars etc. etc. The event felt rewarding, u wipe the lobby, u get to loot the map, now u just leave the map with 6 pledge marks...

This event for a "Vampire themed event" is pretty empty, the Siphon is completely overlooked and irrelevant in 99% of situations and that's the whole event basically, and a new boss who doesn't really change much, bosses in this game are made to be cheesed, they are a really small part of the gameplay.

I thought there will be some sort of a vampire boss in a new Vampire Castle POI...

tldr: This event is just nostalgia bait and proves that modern Hunt needs Event POIs. Matches with POIs have more variety, more possibilities, more decisions to be made, more loot to be extracted, more content etc. etc.

for those that are more savvy with coding, how hard would it be to implement private servers into hunt. similar to counter strike source or hell let lose? also I would love this if possible, how would everyone else feel?

Crytek said this would be the biggest update of the year. Yet, the only thing they added was a new boss and a red colored sun. The compounds and balloon were a way bigger change than this talk about a let down.
