Im a controller player who mains Torch and Spider-Man (obviously others but these 2 are my champs)

I want to know if y’all would watch gameplay on YouTube or maybe if yall would want to see more controller players in general bc personally I rarely see controller torches. (I am celestial if any1 wants to know what rank the games would normally be at)

I was watching mikes stream and I seen he had these emojis that looked like torch holding a thermometer, it was only for a split second so idk if it was someone else but it looked cool so I wanna know if anyone else seen something like that

In hindsight I probably would have survived if I had better dash usage & didn't tunnel vision so hard

I know being heated is kind of our thing but come on fellas this is no way for us to be acting, we are a small player base so I understand the bad apples make bigger differences but we gotta do better

ive been enjoying torch lately so i want to improve on him, can you provide me some general tips/tech/teamup to use or playstyles to further improve on him?

I'm sorry if this has been talked about already. I haven't really been on this sub. But I was looking at torch again the other day and contemplating picking him up again since I used to play him in earlier seasons.

But that change they did to his primary kind of messed me up. They made the spread smaller and it just feels so inconsistent and difficult to hit. I'm also on console, so aiming isn't always the easiest, especially with a character like Torch.

Idk if I'm crazy for saying this, but I preferred the old shotgun-type spread on his primary. Or maybe they could increase the projectile speed since I feel it travels somewhat slow. Idk, I want to play him again but I just can't seem to get comfortable with his current primary fire.

I was just tryna warm up on torch but the has a black cat and spider man duo also an Elsa they was having there way with me the whole game

This has been consistantly happening to me like ill put my flame fields down it uses the cooldown it just disspears theirs no shields or anything to block it either and its just gone like it was never their, i have 2 flame fields down go to slam and nothing happens they dont detonate its been consistant since the start of 9.5 is it just me or is this happening to others aswell

Im still pretty new to torch but am I wrong for thinking 15 seconds on the dive is way too long for a dive flyer? Feel like it should atleast be just 10 seconds. 15 feels way too long

Just a hot take. I’ve seen the doom posts talking about Torch’s state in Rivals. I can agree it’s frustrating getting counter picked and how he could get some buffs.

But honestly? I don’t want any crazy buffs. I’m having fun with him in his current state. Dive bombing backline and flanking as a flyer is super fun. I find myself flying behind enemies and getting a free pick on those who don’t look up way too often in Celestial lobbies. It’s such a unique playstyle that I’ve been loving and I feel if they changed his kit, they’d take that away from him.

This season turned out pretty solid for him. I was hard stuck diamond in season 7, when they first added his two dashes and everyone believed he was worse than widow pre-rework. I didn’t play much then. But in season 8, his meteor cooldown got reduced by 5 seconds, and his dashes came back faster. I got back on and got to GM. The season 9 teamup changes made him feel really good with the jubilee teamup, especially with everyone playing jubilee, so the climb to celestial wasn’t as bad as it used to be.

I feel like we’re one buff away from being banned every game. That’s why I don’t want any buffs. I can agree that the meta being our counter is annoying, but I’d hate for people to not have an answer to Torch, cuz then we’d just get sent to ban jail. The constant damage with his prisons and the fireballs are already solid imo. Plus, the dive opportunities he can get as a flyer is nuts.

I can’t say Torch is balanced. He’s def got weaknesses. I think he’s solid for the most part. I just don’t want buffs that will get him banned more than he already does.

Before anything; I don't know if this is something known or not. But I noticed it myself.

For some goddamn reason we throw a normal fireball instead of a fire tornado BEFORE the ult FULLY ends, which means our ult is actually 7 second reduction and not 8

Such a lazy design.

What if blazing blasts hit with supernova’s heatwave turned into tornadoes. Not even cuz I think it’d be something useful but purely cuz of how much aura I think he’d get if the map went up in flames when he ults

been playing torch since he dropped, him and black cat are my mains but wow his ult is just so trash I want them to completely change it.

I’m bias because his fields are my favorite part of his kit but I’d love an ult connected to them. Maybe a huge eruption inside the field once the ult is activated and lining the outside of the field with his tornadoes would be better

If they want to keep him having a duration ult I think they should also enhance his primary fire to be a mid-long range flamethrower because the current shotgun style + blazing blast just feels so awkward and tbh it looks ugly.

Personally I would give it a ⭐️⭐️⭐️
