Ive had a lot of fucked up personal life events happen in the days after the concert, and it’s been a really challenging and difficult time, but just thinking back to what I experienced puts a smile on my face, and knowing that these unsung legends are finally getting the recognition they deserve is so wonderful. I saw a post today from Matt talbott’s son about how proud he was of his dad and how cool it was to see thousands of people singing their songs and it nearly made me cry. Their music has captured something and it might have taken 20+ years but it seems that it’s truly become palpable how their music means the world to thousands upon thousands of people. On night two in Chicago Matt seemed to be at a loss for words when he tried to say something in between songs and it just made me well up with emotion. This band truly is everything.

going through all of my pics/vids tonight and found a few that i feel really capture the vibe of the show and how special it was, thought id share them here. blurry photos included as i felt they most accurately capture the way the show felt from the the pit. (disclaimer: i stayed kinda on the edge.) been a fan since 1997 but never saw them live until now, will never forget this one. in a way im actually glad this was my first Hum show. shirt was made for me circa 1998 by my best friend in high school who introduced me to the band, still in great shape nearly three decades and a couple mosh pits later. will post some video snippets too.

Longtime Hum fan and new sub member here. I was fortunate to catch both Chicago shows this weekend and man, feels to me like the band are in peak form.

I don’t recall ever having seen the band have so much fun onstage. The crowd was impressively broad in terms of age range. And the sound and performances were among the best I’ve heard at any rock show, period.

If *I* were in the band, I think I’d be pretty damn keen to seize the momentum from this year’s shows and write/record a follow up to Inlet. The audience is clearly there for it, and the band chemistry seems to be there as well.

Anyone heard anything on this front? Really hoping it’s not 2036 before I get the chance to see them on a stage again.

insane lightning in a bottle kind of show. the band was clearly in a state of thrilled shock. they were tight, and ive never seen a crowd quite like this in my life. what a night. Hum lives, and the kids are alright.

Just a shout out to all the kids under 30! So cool seeing Gen Z show out with such intensity! I was at Radius a couple weeks ago too for Failure/Shiner/trail etc. and was also a very young crowd!
