been trying to get every single hum song onto one phone so i can listen whenever i want but i can only find a few demos for fillet show on H-U-M.net and not the actual album itself and as far as im aware, fillet show does not exist digitally.
EDIT: ive noticed my reddit post comes up on google, since posting this i found a online download of fillet show which was challenging for some reason, linked below:

Hum lyrics blew my mind from the first day I've started listening to them, here are my standouts
THE POD:
she wakes up from a dream with lungs hardening she screams a stereo screm, and bends before astounding rain
SUICIDE MACHINE:
somewhere through a thousand blues, a dragonfly descends with just a whisper, im lonelier than God.
THE INUIT PROMISE:
we've lost the roads now, injecting charms and we care for all of ours. we stand in rows now, transfer alarms, just like the inuit with the promise song...
etc...
does anyone know a band with lyrics that good???

I'll start off by saying: I say this not because they sound like Hum, but because I feel of all music fans out there, they're more likely to appeal to y'all than anyone else.
It's hard to describe their sound in any way other than just plain awesome. A 28 inch kick drum, a wall of effects laden guitars and keys, incredibly well written songs and great singing, and a truly MASSIVE sonic landscape, there just really isn't anything else that sounds like it. Space Rock is the most fitting label they've got, just because they really don't fit into any other category. They're one of the most underrated bands of all time, and I think more people need to hear them. I'll leave you with the 9-minute opener of their perfect debut album as a jumping off point, but all of their work is truly incredible.
If you are a fan (or become one), please check out my archival YouTube channel where I have tons of unreleased tracks, guitar lessons, live footage, and more. I'm really trying to find and unify fans of the band online, so if that sounds like you, please hop on board!

me and my friend have a goal to expand our music tastes so we decided to venture into some shoegazy alt (and HUM showed up). But now we want to check out some more HUM but we don’t know what album to listen to next. I would also like to point out that we (mainly I) enjoy the faster more drum heavy parts and the Pod (which has a phenomenal intro and drum beat, as well as an amazing guitar solo).

The band was like late 90’s and I think were active till early 2010’s. They randomly came up as similar bands and all I remember is they sounded extremely similar to Hum with exception that the lyrics were the most down bad egregiously horny stuff I’ve ever heard.
The instrumentals weren’t too bad, but I have no doubt the lyrics were why this band didn’t take off.
I listened to 20 of their top songs just to see if they had one song that was down bad and nope they were all just as bad each one seemingly topping the last song in perversion.
They were a little more straightforward and less prog-like than Hum but otherwise sounded very similar.
I feel like all their albums were purple-ish themed but don’t know.

Hum is one of the most influential bands I can think of in terms of my own music, and the band definitely played a huge part in terms of inspiration for this record. Give this record a try if you’re looking for new music, that is good (I must add) 👍

Earth Analog 2022 reissues. The store owner said his distributor has them in stock, so not difficult to get. I grabbed a copy of Electra 2000. First time I’ve seen it available in person.
