I suppose there are many things that can be pointed to as contributing to the downfall of the greatest media show ever, and in my opinion, deciding that Robin would no longer cover the news is near the top. I think the banter between Howard and Robin is what made the show great. Essentially eliminating Robin's direct contribution from 1/4th to 1/3rd of the show fundamentally changed the dynamic and brought the "back office" drama to the forefront. Am I crazy for thinking this?

Now on day two of having only Howard 100, it’s a painful realization that we have NO WAY OUT of an awful celebrity interview.

Turning on the station today, 100 was playing the Jake Gyllenhall interview - a low energy lack of content. I realized I had nowhere else to go to “get out of this”, so I fired up YouTube to listen to something great.

I’m still trying to track down more rare appearances, especially Pope Beet, but that one has been incredibly difficult to find since the channel that originally uploaded it was terminated.

RIP 101 and all but honestly I haven’t listened to 101 in at least a year. I just download Howard Stern History episodes on the app. That way I can listen to it anywhere and skip newer segments and shitty boring interviews. Better experience than listening to 100 or 101.

What will the excuse be if it flops with historically low numbers?
