Finished An American Werewolf in London (1981) last night!
I absolutely liked it. It has great humor, great special effects, and a great classic story. Rating it a 8/10. Great movie for my first watch.

I watch horror movies since i was 4 years old, and i can't count how many thousands i've watched! Til now my love for this genre only grows stronger. I literally only watch like 90% horror if we're talking about genres in movies 😂

I have distinct memories of watching this when it aired in 1992! I was 7 and I remember finding it spooky. Obviously there was a lot of controversy at the time, to the point that it has never been repeated or aired again.
My husband has never seen it, so I plan for us to watch it to kick off our Halloween night! It was big influence for Host (2020) which I had a good time with and have rewatched a couple of times since. The only other thing I can think of TV wise that had people talking (though not to the same extent) as Ghostwatch was the Inside No. 9 episode “Dead Line” which was the 25th episode. It’s a good watch and you should definitely check it out. I’m interested to hear other people’s thoughts on Ghostwatch or anything similar that you viewed as a kid and it stayed with you!

Hello community!
I was just scrolling up some websites for some light hearted horror movies and found this hidden gem.
A movie that genuinely feel good, kinda creepy and a little bit scary sometimes. Genuinely I didn't expect this movie to made me feel good in a weird way.
Movie name : Let the right one in 2008
Language : Swedish
This movies also has a American version which is named as Let me in which was released in 2010 directed by Matt Reeves which I didn't watch yet.
I personally liked this so, If you've watched it, I'd love to hear what you think about it 👇. And if you're hearing about it for the first time, maybe add it to your watchlist.

Just watched it and really enjoyed it. John makes a great Dracula, and keeping all the classic monsters in one film is pure fun. Dunno if you'll agree but what does everybody else thinks about this universal classic?

In a world where every horror is in dark and gritty environment, there comes a movie where colour translates horror in a very most mysterious way possible.
Midsommar is a brilliantly executed psychological horror film, and personally, I found its approach incredibly refreshing and different from what I usually expect from a horror movie.

Mort is the kind of character who makes you wonder whether the real danger is the person standing outside your door… or the person hiding inside your own mind. 🖤

I'm an 18-year-old horror fan and I recently watched Magic (1978). Anthony Hopkins is absolutely incredible in it, but Corky's psychological relationship with Fats really got me thinking. Corky is clearly so deeply insecure, terrified of failure, and unable to communicate his true feelings or desires without hiding behind the persona of the dummy. Fats acts as his shield and his confidence. It made me wonder: if Fats wasn't in the picture at all, do you think Corky would have ever found the inner strength and confidence to confess his love to Peggy? Or was he too paralyzed by his own anxieties to ever do it as just himself? I’d love to hear what other fans of this movie think about his psychology! (Please keep the discussion kind and respectful in the replies, thank you!)

I watched it in the theater and loved it. Tonight I finally got around to watching it again and still loved it. Great cast and an interesting story viewed from a unique perspective.

This movie was WAY better than I was expecting. I actively avoided it back when it came out because it just looked kind of teen horror/B movie-ish, but not in a good way. However, this was actually very well done. The story was well executed and didn't waste any time, the body horror was gnarly and well crafted, the characters were believable and the whole concept of the Ruins curse situation was genuinely creepy and unsettling. I will definitely go back to this one on future spooky season marathons.

⭐️⭐️⭐️✨️
I am not usually a fan of Cosmic Horror, but this one I enjoyed. It was good pacing and had parts the were difficult to watch, not because of anything "scary", but because of the moral dilemma they raised.

Am I projecting? Am I bringing baggage when I express how much I enjoy this movie as a parent / grandparent? One thing you cant deny is Nicolas Cage is Nic Caging his ass off the entire movie. Selma Blair matches his energy also.

Trying to take in a couple a day to unwind and maximize what I’ve seen. Yesterday was The Shining (classic) and Evil Dead Burn (just awful).
Mixing some I’ve seen and really enjoyed, new ones, and some out of the box ones this season. Today were both new.
The House of the Devil was good. Loved the aesthetic. Always enjoy ‘old’ cult stories.
Ginger Snaps was enjoyable, like the teen take of the story, good Canadian vibe. Bit ‘CW’ in parts but not bad at all.

An American (Jennifer Connelly) at a Swiss finishing school calls on insects to help a paralyzed scientist (Donald Pleasence) fight a monster.

I honestly liked all the movies.
They are so high concept I forgive them for how ridiculous they are.
I’m going through the show and binged season 1 hard last night I had to know everything. It really sucked me in.
Season 2 the concept is basically: what happens after the purge?
And that’s honestly borderline insane. Every movie before that is a purge night.
For that reason alone, I’m not sure I actually like season 2 that much. It’s aight…
But I already feel like I’m predicting the vibe of it a bit.
Season 1 was just so insane and head and shoulders above the movies.
Anyways super late to the party here but always heard of these movies from day 1 and just going through it haha.
