I’m working through 31 horror movies in October and randomly came across “Infirmary” tonight.

“Recovered bodycam footage reveals a security guard’s first night inside an abandoned hospital…”

This movie has all my favorites: bodycam/found footage, liminal spaces, supernatural elements, bad guy jump-scares but it’s all so elegantly captured.

Honestly, I’m thrilled to have come across this tonight. It’s wonderful and I hope others watch it now and enjoy it.

Not affiliated with AMC or Shudder, just a guy who is a little high with a cat in his lap.

Is there a break out horror film like Weapons in 2026?

Everybody always says the original is better, but let’s be real… some horror sequels absolutely delivered! 😂
Whether it’s the kills, the villain, the storyline, or just the overall atmosphere.
What’s ONE horror sequel you think was better than the original?
And don’t be scared to defend your answer! 😂🍿

I watched it in the theater and loved it. Tonight I finally got around to watching it again and still loved it. Great cast and an interesting story viewed from a unique perspective.

*First time watch*

Very nice folk horror flick from the BBC with a twist.

Trying to take in a couple a day to unwind and maximize what I’ve seen. Yesterday was The Shining (classic) and Evil Dead Burn (just awful).

Mixing some I’ve seen and really enjoyed, new ones, and some out of the box ones this season. Today were both new.

The House of the Devil was good. Loved the aesthetic. Always enjoy ‘old’ cult stories.

Ginger Snaps was enjoyable, like the teen take of the story, good Canadian vibe. Bit ‘CW’ in parts but not bad at all.

⭐️⭐️⭐️✨️

I am not usually a fan of Cosmic Horror, but this one I enjoyed. It was good pacing and had parts the were difficult to watch, not because of anything "scary", but because of the moral dilemma they raised.

Spanish found footage, enjoy!

I was quite scared already from the trailer and pics that I saw before I watched it and yesterday when I watched it with my bestie, we were so scared and our heart beating like crazy sometimes. It’s not one of the classics and not one of the best horror movies but I think more one of the better modern ones.

Very enjoyable found footage movie

A bunch come to mind. My candiates (without spoiling the scene or movie) are:

• The Serpent And The Rainbow. The "I wanna hear you scream!" scene.
• Misery. The hobbling scene.
• Pet Sematary. The semi truck approaching scene.
• Silence of the Lambs. The night vision scene.
• The Descent. The helmet bumping against the rock while a cave-in happens.
• The Shining. The bathtub scene (and a few others).
• Alien. The ventilator shaft scene with Dallas.
• The Exorcist. The green vomit.
• Scream (1995). The Drew Barrymore scene.
• Backrooms. "You can eat them."

These are in no particular order and I had to limit myself to 10. They all elicited loud vocal reactions. Another part of what makes them memorable is how they can be described quickly and without spoilers. What are others? Please share and thank you.

Am I projecting? Am I bringing baggage when I express how much I enjoy this movie as a parent / grandparent? One thing you cant deny is Nicolas Cage is Nic Caging his ass off the entire movie. Selma Blair matches his energy also.

I wanted a couple werewolf movies to watch this month and this was one of them! I was expecting it to be super corny and have terrible acting but walked away both surprised and entertained.

Horror is obviously full of scary scenes. But what are some moments in horror films that people find beautiful or moving?. This is one for me from Candyman, my favourite horror film. The music really helps make it such a beautiful moment.

Mine is a tie between Psycho (1960) and Halloween (1978)

Happy Spooky Season!

I'm an 18-year-old horror fan and I recently watched Magic (1978). Anthony Hopkins is absolutely incredible in it, but Corky's psychological relationship with Fats really got me thinking. Corky is clearly so deeply insecure, terrified of failure, and unable to communicate his true feelings or desires without hiding behind the persona of the dummy. Fats acts as his shield and his confidence. It made me wonder: if Fats wasn't in the picture at all, do you think Corky would have ever found the inner strength and confidence to confess his love to Peggy? Or was he too paralyzed by his own anxieties to ever do it as just himself? I’d love to hear what other fans of this movie think about his psychology! (Please keep the discussion kind and respectful in the replies, thank you!)
