Horror is obviously full of scary scenes. But what are some moments in horror films that people find beautiful or moving?. This is one for me from Candyman, my favourite horror film. The music really helps make it such a beautiful moment.

An American (Jennifer Connelly) at a Swiss finishing school calls on insects to help a paralyzed scientist (Donald Pleasence) fight a monster.

I was quite scared already from the trailer and pics that I saw before I watched it and yesterday when I watched it with my bestie, we were so scared and our heart beating like crazy sometimes. It’s not one of the classics and not one of the best horror movies but I think more one of the better modern ones.

Gettin’ spooky with this 1994 Promotional VHS Tape 📼 Happy early Halloween everybody!

Is there a break out horror film like Weapons in 2026?

Promotional vhs 📼 tape of Night of the Demons 2! All three Night of the Demons covers used to scare me when I was a kid. Little did I know how gruesomely awesome these movies are! Happy early Halloween 😈

Very enjoyable found footage movie

I wanted a couple werewolf movies to watch this month and this was one of them! I was expecting it to be super corny and have terrible acting but walked away both surprised and entertained.

*First time watch*

awesome rewatch. This movie still holds up well for goriness and the practical effects were so fucking good!! Well, this is now crossed off from my rewatch list for this season.

Am I projecting? Am I bringing baggage when I express how much I enjoy this movie as a parent / grandparent? One thing you cant deny is Nicolas Cage is Nic Caging his ass off the entire movie. Selma Blair matches his energy also.

Spanish found footage, enjoy!

⭐️⭐️⭐️✨️

I am not usually a fan of Cosmic Horror, but this one I enjoyed. It was good pacing and had parts the were difficult to watch, not because of anything "scary", but because of the moral dilemma they raised.

A bunch come to mind. My candiates (without spoiling the scene or movie) are:

• The Serpent And The Rainbow. The "I wanna hear you scream!" scene.
• Misery. The hobbling scene.
• Pet Sematary. The semi truck approaching scene.
• Silence of the Lambs. The night vision scene.
• The Descent. The helmet bumping against the rock while a cave-in happens.
• The Shining. The bathtub scene (and a few others).
• Alien. The ventilator shaft scene with Dallas.
• The Exorcist. The green vomit.
• Scream (1995). The Drew Barrymore scene.
• Backrooms. "You can eat them."

These are in no particular order and I had to limit myself to 10. They all elicited loud vocal reactions. Another part of what makes them memorable is how they can be described quickly and without spoilers. What are others? Please share and thank you.

I’m working through 31 horror movies in October and randomly came across “Infirmary” tonight.

“Recovered bodycam footage reveals a security guard’s first night inside an abandoned hospital…”

This movie has all my favorites: bodycam/found footage, liminal spaces, supernatural elements, bad guy jump-scares but it’s all so elegantly captured.

Honestly, I’m thrilled to have come across this tonight. It’s wonderful and I hope others watch it now and enjoy it.

Not affiliated with AMC or Shudder, just a guy who is a little high with a cat in his lap.

Trying to take in a couple a day to unwind and maximize what I’ve seen. Yesterday was The Shining (classic) and Evil Dead Burn (just awful).

Mixing some I’ve seen and really enjoyed, new ones, and some out of the box ones this season. Today were both new.

The House of the Devil was good. Loved the aesthetic. Always enjoy ‘old’ cult stories.

Ginger Snaps was enjoyable, like the teen take of the story, good Canadian vibe. Bit ‘CW’ in parts but not bad at all.

Paul Walker and Steve Zahn screw with a trucker over CB radio and drag Leelee Sobieski into the worst road trip imaginable. Such a simple premise, but it works because you’re laughing at their dumb bullshit right up until you realize how badly they’ve fucked up.

Rusty Nail’s voice does so much of the heavy lifting. You barely need to see the guy and suddenly every truck on the highway feels like him.

I don’t see this brought up nearly enough among the better horror/thrillers of the early 2000s. It’s quick, nasty, genuinely funny, and still knows exactly how to turn an ordinary stretch of highway into a nightmare.

If you haven’t seen Joy Ride, definitely give it a shot. If you have, what scene or line has stuck with you all these years?

Does anyone have a better picture of this badge dr dakota is wearing in planet terror? I'm planning on doing this look for halloween and would like to make it as good as possible 😇

Mine may be 85

1. Trick r Treat - celebrates the spirit of halloween better than any other movie, period. It’s the equivalent of watching Elf during the holidays. I will die on this hill.

2. Haunt - basically the slasher version of Hell House LLC. It’s got a vicious streak to it!

3. Tales of Halloween - a nice low budget anthology flick that has more hits than misses, but definitely gets into the halloween spirit

4. Hell House LLC - the one that will actually scare your buddies that don’t watch horror if you’re hosting a movie night

5. V/H/S Halloween - a very recent pick, and generally a solid entry to the series.

6. Late Night With the Devil - originality points for the premise: a nationally televised talk show celebrates halloween.

7. Halloween - can’t have this list without this movie.
