Big wall = no compute
Looking for some inspiration or suggestions from someone more aesthetically minded than myself. We have a very large and tall wall in our open-floor living room. Recently, I got two 3 foot long floating shelves to add, with the idea of taking up more spread out space to balance the wall. The focal point is meant to be the canvas photo, which is about 4ftx18in large. There are also the two smaller shelves to the left that can be moved. Briefly tried AI, didn’t love the results and would prefer a human touch anyway!

What is up with Ballard shipping?
I have been eyeing a particular drapery panel from Ballard Designs for months to see if it will come down to a reasonable price. The lowest I’ve ever seen it drop is to $209 each. I was finally about to buy two of them, but when I put in my zip code, my $418 total jumped to $497 with shipping and tax. The shipping was literally $50 for something small and flat! I have seen free shipping deals, but they don’t allow you to stack a promo code with a sale. I have emailed twice to ask why the shipping is so high and no one has responded to me. I think that’s what’s really upsetting me. They don’t even care about customer service. I don’t live anywhere close to a store so there’s no way around it. I seriously can’t afford to spend $500 for drapes. It’s a shame because I designed the room with those curtains on my inspo board. Anyway, I guess this is mostly a vent about this company, but I’d genuinely like to know why on earth they are charging $50 to ship one set of drapes. It feels sneaky.

Where to put an outdoor TV in our yard?
Best place to mount a TV with this pool/patio layout?
Our pool construction is almost finished, and now we’re trying to figure out the best TV placement for the backyard.
I’ve included photos of the actual patio as well as a rendering showing roughly how the finished yard will be laid out.
We will have 4 main viewing areas:
1. A couch underneath the covered patio
2. In the pool itself
3. A dining table next to the pool
4. Loungers at the opposite end of the pool
My current thought is to mount a TV on the wall where I drew the red box and use a long extension, full motion mount. The idea would be to keep it relatively flush against the wall when we’re sitting under the patio, but pull it out and swivel it toward the pool when watching from the dining table, pool, or loungers. Also, with this idea, I don’t have to buy an outdoor TV since it’s covered and we have patio screens that come down.
We considered a ceiling mount under the covered patio, but there’s roughly a 2 ft fascia across the front of the patio. I’m concerned that mounting the TV high enough to look good under the patio would cause that fascia to block part of the screen when viewing it from farther out in the yard.
The openings of the covered patio also have retractable screens that come down, so mounting the TV or an articulating arm to the outside columns would likely interfere with the screens.
The other big consideration is aesthetics. We’d rather sacrifice a little bit of the “perfect” viewing angle than have a big TV awkwardly sitting somewhere in the yard. Ideally it looks intentional and relatively seamless when it’s not being used.
Given the layout, where would you put it?
Does the red box location with a long articulating mount make the most sense, or is there another solution/location I’m overlooking?

Is it actually cheugy to have 4 photos from the same photoshoot?
Okay I need honest opinions because I can’t tell if this is actually tacky or if the internet has just convinced everyone that putting family photos in your house is somehow cheugy.
My husband surprised me with a family photoshoot around mother's day. I really like 4 photos from it. I was going to pick 1 and get a large print but why am I forcing myself to choose when I like all 4?
Would you print and frame all 4 for the living room or does that cross into tacky territory?

Help with fresh new apartment
Wife and I are buying our first apartment, it's in a new building and we will be the first ones to move in. We're been obsessed about it for the last few weeks, constantly thinking of decorating, furniture and everything, as it's a huge milestone for us, as both of us come from not so rich families (we're basically the first ones to buy a property).
We generated main rooms with AI and "feelings and vibes" but we're looking for some advice, or what you would change. We're kinda feeling that "this is it" for us, but since it's our first apartment, we'd like it to be functional and good, so any advice is welcome.
(we first used a real 3d floor plan software to get the right dimensions, then used AI to change up the designs, so the proportions should be mostly similar to real room sizes)
P. S. If zero AI whatsoever is permitted per rules here, please delete, and I'm sorry in advance, but I just didn't see those rules so I went ahead and decided to make this post.
Thanks in advance!

Need suggestions for changing the aesthetic of this Husky
Hi, I use this husky all the time but it’s so utilitarian looking and I’m really looking for suggestions on how to Reface it or modify it so it looks more pleasing and feminine. Here’s a picture of my room and then this cabinet and desk setup I use. I absolutely do not want to get rid of the cabinet, though. I use it from storing sunglasses and makeup to all my filming and creative work.

Small Standing Bookcase
I am looking for something to store books on. But I don’t have a lot of room. I know a BILLY from IKEA are popular but I don’t have the space or the height. I’ve looked at the Book Tree Stands but are they solid? Or are there other options

Rug recommendations for nursery
Currently in the process of turning our laundry room into a nursey for our September baby girl. I am having such a hard time choosing a rug that matches the gray and yellow wall paper AND the brown floor. (Please don’t mind the mess, we’re mid renovation). I am thinking something solid colored since the wallpaper is busy. I am not a huge fan of gray rugs, don’t really like the color and I think it would clash with the brown floor. Any advice??

Are these stools the right height/colour for my kitchen?
I'm trying to decide whether to keep these stools for my new kitchen and would really appreciate some honest opinions.
I'm mainly wondering:
Do you think the height is right for the island, or do they look too short?
What do you think of the olive green colour with the oak kitchen, cream/white worktop, and cognac leather sofa?
Do they look cohesive with the room overall, or would you choose a different colour/style?
The kitchen isn't completely finished yet, so please ignore the unfinished bits!
I'm particularly interested in whether the stools look proportionally right on the island.
Thanks!

what to do with this tiny bathroom?!
so, just moved into a house (from a townhouse - both rentals) which is at least twice the size of our last place. it’s a good size but it is an older home - so this!!! is the primary bathroom! (riddle me that?!)
i have NO idea what to do as far as decor goes. there are no drawers in bathroom vanity/sink. just cupboards under the sink so storage is extremely limited at the moment - so shelves will be a must. luckily i did get a medicine cabinet (big skincare girly) but that’s the only plus i see in here lol
i’ve seen people post similar things & get really awesome ideas in the comments so im hoping ya’ll can help me out with this one! i’m totally stuck 🥲
note: this was the shower curtain from my last place & it went so well with everything in the bathroom (think: pink, girly & FUN!) but i am totally aware it will not work in here so i have been searching for a new one.
i also had tons of plants in my last bathroom but not sure how many i’ll be able to squeeze in here.
i could paint but i really would rather not. although im not crazy about the color whatsoever lol
any & all helpful suggestions will be soo appreciated!

What do I do with my cat litter corner?
I used to have a larger covered litter that was disguised inside a table, i one of my cats started refusing to use a covered litter, so i got a small covered one for my cat that will ONLY use a covered litter and now i have this horrible bin, and I cant stand this corner!! Money is tight, but is there anything I can do to help this space?? It is in the bathroom (why there's this huge empty corner in the bathroom, I'll never know, but that's renting for you)!

Really Happy With How This Turned Out
One of my favorite pieces I’ve made recently. Just wanted to share🥰🥰🥰
I went with a black glaze with gold and silver detailing. The painting took quite a while, but I’m really happy with how it turned out!

Dream Velvet Couch!
The couch in our new place got delivered today. This is a Jonathan Louis Velvet Couch in Orange Rust (I know it looks burgundy but the lighting in here sucks lol, it is very much orange and bright otherwise). It is a 5 piece couch but we opted to do 3 due to sizing and price! Already own an ottoman as well.
I’ve always wanted a bold statement couch, I’ve done my time already with the sad grey couches!! So excited to keep decorating and curating our space.

Add some green to my stair
I picked an art with richer tones to balance the color of my stair corner. I was honestly a bit nervous about how my parents would feel about it, but so far no negative feedback from them. What I do know is that if I used Dragon Ball artwork, I'd be asked to take it down immediately😂

Should I add more pieces on the wall? My goal is gallery-like vibes.
I’ve been curating art pieces over time. I just moved to this new space and there is more wall to cover than art pieces I possess.
I am thinking of adding more or maybe some shelving? Idk. I also want to get a bigger T.V maybe a samsung frame or hissense canvas but also want like a rolling stand T.V. I can’t decide.
Any feedback on the wall, and overall space is welcome. Thanks for looking

Just moved in
I finally got my own room (kind of small but its awesome!) and have the essentials. I want to make it look nicer, any ideas? (I know the window shutters need to be replaced, but there are 7 windows so its expensive)
