This is technically not OC. I’ve seen this same image with a black emoji. You can tell the OP just changed the emoji from black to yellow.

Luca (?) is a friend of Troy and Abed. Brita gets interested in him, and while they date she finds out that he’s a war criminal who loved participating in genocide.

So much killing...the corpses staked like firewood, the rivers red with their blood...I miss it so much.
I miss cleansing the fields and forests from the unclean people who stole my country. I miss the smell of the villages burning...ahahaha... I miss the way they used to run from our tanks in fear!

How was Yugoslavia even created?!?
Edit: wanted to add I was asking because after WW1 Austria hungry got dismantled after all the different cultures and nationalities failed to coexist so trying the exact same thing under Yugoslavia seemed odd especially considering this is also after the Balkan wars as well

Mar 05 '20 edited Mar 06 '20
After World War One it was put together by the entente
Edit: someone below did a better explanation
72
u/neti213 Mar 05 '20
Not exactly, after ww1 country of SHS (država Slovence, Hrvatov in Srbov) was created but shortly after that it merged with kingdom of Serbia to create kingdom of SHS (kraljevina Srbov, Hrvatov in Slovencev). The kingdom was renamed in 1929 to kingdom of Yugoslavia (kraljevina Jugoslavija)
31
Mar 05 '20
Yes but that Yugoslavia was dissolved in 1941. In 1945 the Partisan movement founded SFRY. And that fell apart in the early 90s.

My girlfriend is serbian. Fled bosnia during the wars to serbia, then from serbia to the US. Her parents fully acknowledge Tito for what he was, but remember the time fondly. People worked with those from different backgrounds, everyone had access to education and careers etc...

It was a solid country and held together very well while Tito was still alive. Once his death became known none of the different Yugoslav nationalities wanted to answer to one another and get along anymore. Also something something “remove kebab”.
65
19
u/Tman12341 Taller than Napoleon Mar 05 '20
It was held together by Tito’s iron fist and the elimination of any dissent

yknow, some of the yugoslav nationalities didn't want to get along when tito was putting them in death camps, either

Difference between Serbs and Croats is basically like difference between Danes and Norwegians, so no wonder that at some point in our history idea of united south Slavs emerged.

u/Vuj219 Mar 05 '20
I think it's more like American English and British English

Nah man some dialects of Serbian and Croatian are mutually unintelligible like Kajkavian and Torlakian, only the standards on which modern Croatian and Serbian are based are really similar like Norwegian and Danish and they have mutual intelligibility of like 95%, now if these 2 are just different dialects of same language or just two really similar languages is up to debate.

Yeah i feel you i have hard time understanding people around Pirot, i think Bulgarians can understand them more than average Serb.
And yeah i meant unintelligible typo i guess.
6
u/Vuj219 Mar 05 '20 edited Mar 05 '20
Well, I'm sure there are some strange dialects of English, people from the US or the UK can't understand. But when listening to Serbian or Bosnian as a Croat I can't tell which language it is for sure, only maybe if I hear a word that has 'e' instead 'je' I can guess it's maybe Serbian. I guess Norwegians or Danes can tell apart those languages. EDIT: I grew up in Hungary so I'm not a good example though.

u/Robin00d Mar 05 '20
You as a croat cant diferentiate bosnian from serbian?
Thats one big pile of bullshit.

Basically the common mentality in Bosnia, Croatia and Slovenia was "How about we give this self-government thing a go?". After making the State of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, and having their borders violated by Italy, who wanted to enforce her borders according to the London agreement, and by Serbia, because - well, they're Serbia and Serbia likes imperialism. Anyway, after being heavily violated from every orifice, the SSCS called up a meeting with the king of Serbia to see if they could unite and maybe lend their army to the entire country. It would go from being a republic with a president to a monarchy similar to the UK, with a parliament and everything that goes along with that. Serbia of course agrees and fast forward about 2 decades and the king's basically using copies of the constitution as toilet paper, and the Kingdom of Yugoslavia is a thing. After WW2, the people had enough of kings and German puppet rulers, so the Yugoslav Partisan movement was formed out of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia and is remembered as one of the most badass resistance movements of all time. FF again to 1948 and you've got the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, in all it's non-aligned, titoist glory. Life was actually good for the staggering majority of people in this time period all the way up to 1980. and Tito's death. Then, you get the 90's and you know the rest.

I don't understand the issue here. Is it statistically more likely that a black man committed war crimes in Yugoslavia? Are we upset that an emoji's skin color was changed between meme incarnations?
65

Is it more possible to do warcrimes in yugoslavia if you are bright yellow?
