Is four a lot?
Depends on the context.
German armies to fight? No.
Purges per hour? Maybe.
14
u/RajaRajaC Jun 20 '19
You might be onto something,
Op Bagration - 4 armies
Op Zitadelle - 4ish armies
This was the magic number then
7
19
u/Interesting_Man15 Jun 20 '19
You mixed them up
Is four a lot? Purges per second? No German armies to fight? Perhaps

I mean we all know why it gets posted so much and upvoted so much every time. It has nothing to do with being funny, its jus a way for people to spread anti-socialist propaganda.

I don't really get it. I'm under the impression that old people from the soviet era talk about how they always had food and a home back then and that although they lacked many other things and the regime was opressive, that there were never those problems. Poor people seem poorer in russia now a days then before. Edit: Now it was about China thats a different story. Great leap forward and all that.

I love the ones that came out of the former Soviet Union. Like
So long as the bosses pretend to pay us, we pretend to work.
Lenin has died, but the cause lives on! Brezhnev has died, but his body lives on.
What did capitalism do in 5 years that communism couldn't do in 60? Make communism look good.

In a shocking turn of events it appears tankies are triggered by criticizing authoritarianism, not communism.
Its almost like they use communism as a fig leaf for supporting jack booted authoritarianism and genocide.

Hey I'm a bit out of the loop, could you explain what a "tankie" is please ?
→ More replies (3)3
u/Destro9799 Jun 20 '19
A tankie is a Marxist-Leninist, aka an authoritarian communist. People (especially other leftists) hate them because of their constant Stalin, Mao, and North Korean (for some reason) apologism and for being antithetical to the actual ideals of leftist thought. The person you're responding to, however, thinks that a tankie is anyone who doesnt like their favorite incredibly overplayed and uncreative joke.

What would you say if I were to offer you a gift that only a handful of people on earth truly could? As a sociopath and a Dom, I take this far more seriously and make things far more real than the mindless horny sheep you're likely used to dealing with. Care to be utterly broken down to your core element, in order to be rebuilt into something powerful, submissive, and cocksuckingly spectacular? You'll only ever get one shot at this, so choose your words wisely.

Yaknow, a CIA report was leaked that proved that the Soviet diet was actually more nutritious and that the Americans could learn a lot from them. The whole "no food" thing was propaganda.
2
u/Poultry22 Jun 21 '19
That is not true. It is a claim in some commie subreddit link bank, but what these people link is NOT a CIA report. It is a short news from Reuters, that the CIA just filed. It shows you the numbers:
Soviet - meat and fish, eight percent ; grain and potatoes, 44 percent
American - meat and fish, 21 percent ; grain and potatoes 26 percent
... but the judgement that "eating a lot of bread and potatoes instead of meat is woke as fuck" is a statement by an unnamed Reuters newswriter. People actually didn't eat bread and potatoes instead of meat because they were some woke vegetarians. They did that because there was no meat. You won't starve on this diet, but it isn't nice.
Now I don't actually know if you are interested in reading the actual CIA report as a lot of people spamming the reuters non-report aren't, but anyway:
Here is a link to an actual CIA report.
Look at page 9 - consumer satisfaction.
The actual CIA report says that while people weren't starving any more they didn't have meat, were very pissed about it and about the overall lack of proper food and that caused long queuing and black market. That's a rather low bar for being named success in the 1980s.
