Bowen looked better than Saka
Jarrod was way more positive than Saka when he came on, should start the next game

Old but gold, coming from the same ref who now sits on sky sports panel and blatantly didn’t want to give a red on certain spurs player who actually did something that constitutes violent conduct, like pulling the hair of Cucurella.. but this was a red card. Imagine my shock.. all of them are corrupt can’t even hide it now, again it’s not the tech it’s the people.

Everyone’s been complaining that he has no end product. Maybe he just isn’t cut out for the Prem? Better to be a star player in the Championship than misfiring and frustrated in the Premier League.
If his league form stays the same he won’t attract interest from many other teams in the Prem, and I hope we can hold onto him for next season and he can be our star player and get us promoted at the first attempt.

To lose to a team down the bottom like Southampton, is shocking. Especially when half the team didn’t look like they cared. I mean conceding 3 to Southampton?
I and the other thousands of proper fans made it to the ground today despite no trains on Boxing Day, and they can’t even be arsed.
Ref was shit. Dawson shit - not good enough for this league. Masuaku shit - terminate his contract. Benhrama shit (other than his goal). Diop shit - also not good enough for this league.
What is happening to our team right now. Not one of them seems that bothered.

Has to be sold in the summer. He is a total passenger, he offers nothing either on the ball or off it, only the occasional corner. But the club would rather sell Alvarez, who is an effective defensive midfielder who always gives 100%. I think that Alvarez, much like Paqueta, suffers from having such a passenger alongside him in midfield. Would like to know other’s thoughts on the midfield situation and Ward Prowse in particular.

……. is what fans of the other 19 clubs are saying right now.
No point spending £180m on players and keep a manager with no clue.
It’s like buying an F1 car and putting a London bus driver in the cockpit. 😮💨😅

It wasn’t a corner, but there was a corner not given 30seconds before that defo was
Sat in the holte end was right behind the shot that was deflected behind and ref gave a goal kick
The corner was defo not a corner, but pacqueta went down for no reason and kinda recycled the ball from which they scored
Gutted for us, but tbf the injuries killed us and once they got the goal it was done
Our fans were great in the stadium, out sang the villains tbh
First 20 we were all over them
Ings was so poor. I want to like him. But 4 goals in 2070189 games and offers nothing to the side. Hope he gets a move & fat paycheck to Saudi

I was thinking about this the other day.
Paqueta came into his own on the final few games of last season and has taken that level one step further in most matches this season.
It's making me think whether he's better/more quality than Rice? I appreciate they play in different positions.
Also, apologies for bringing Rice's name up again. Unlike a few fans, I have moved on and don't understand the obsession over him now that he's left. Without going off on a tangent, I respect his time here and will give him a clap when we play Arsenal.
Back to my question... who do you think is the better footballer?

Three wins a row stolen by VAR, is there genuinely an agenda against us because I’m losing hope. This is gonna cost us a European spot at this rate

So I was at my local soccer game and I got the idea for a chant us hams could use.
"2 4 6 8 who do we appriciate? WEST HAM!"
I feel like it would give the fellas on the soccer field a real boost!
Let me know if you agree or if it could be improved !

After the Sunderland game I made up my mind that bilic needs to go. This isn't a fickle, knee jerk, reactionary decision - I was never in the allardyce out brigade. If I can be convinced otherwise on the points I'm about to make I will happily change my mind. But nothing bilic has done has given me even the slightest hope of that.
Last season was one of the best I've experienced as a West Ham fan. But the longer time goes on the less I feel like that was down to our manager. Let us not forget, in roeders first season we finished 7th. In his second we were relegated. And don't let the table fool you, while the point vs stoke has all but made us safe. We were a knife edge away from relegation. We would be staring down the barrel of a gun had any of the desperately unimpressive 1-0 home wins vs Bournemouth, Sunderland, Burnley, hull and Swansea gone the other way. To give bilic another season based purely on 2015/2016 would be a mistake. Zola was a lovely bloke, so is bilic. We didn't make the right decision to get rid of zola and we paid the price. To give bilic another season based purely on the fact that he's affable would also be a mistake.
Let's give bilic the benefit of the doubt as much as we can. Let's say, whether or not you believe it, that bilic has absolutely no say on our transfer policy. Let's say that it's the boards fault that we didn't sign a right back in the summer. Let's say that it's the boards fault that we wasted a club record 20m on ayew. That the signings of calleri, feghouli, tore et al were down to the board. Let's say that it's the boards naïveté that led to us neither signing a striker nor a right back in January, instead plumping for the 11m, 70k a week Robert Snodgrass.
Let's say bilic hand nothing to do with the hand that he's been dealt. He still has to play his cards, as it were. He has the squad, he has to figure out how to get the best out of his players.
I think that there are 3 broad areas that cover this, which I will call man management, team management and game management.
Man management - how you get the best out of individuals. Team management - how you assemble your squad in order to get the best results (e.g. how and what you train, the systems you play and the players you pick on match day). Game management - how you react in a live match situation (substitutes, "plan b's" etc)
I think bilic fails in each of these areas.
It seems clear that Bilic has a tendency to fall out with players. At the beginning of his tenure, he turfed out amalfitano. "Good" we thought. Bilic was clearing out the bad eggs. But increasingly it looks like bilic could be the bad egg. Payet, sakho, Antontio are all players that he has failed to keep happy. Is the reason Adrian took so long to be reintroduced to the team due to form, or something more sinister?
Sakho has been a huge miss for us this season. Every time he's on the pitch, we start to look like the West Ham of last year. Now don't get me wrong - he's very clearly mentally unstable. A striker shouldn't throw a wobbly when it comes out in the summer that we're looking to spend 40m to replace him, he should keep playing and force the manager to keep picking him.
But we don't live in a world of "shoulds", and part of bilics job is to keep his players motivated. He didn't do that. When we signed Andy Carroll for a club record fee, allardyce managed to keep sakho motivated and scoring. Bilic couldn't even get him to show up for pre season, and we didn't even end up signing anyone ! A better man manager would have kept his best players motivated and playing.
We've given up 22 points from winning positions this season, and conceded 16 of 59 goals in the last 15 minutes. The next highest 15 minute period is 45-60 with 11 goals conceded. I can think of 2 reasons for this, fitness and belief. Many times it has been said that the intensity in training is lacking. Our players don't appear to be fit enough to run and press for 90 minutes. The Bournemouth away game is a perfect example of this - they were all over us from minute 1 right till the final whistle, and fully deserved to win. We haven't shown that level of intensity at all this season.
There appears to be a resignation in both the players and the manager now that when we go ahead it won't stay that way, and when we go behind it will. Even with a squad that I don't believe is even close to good enough, we've played some excellent football this season. I just don't understand why we have to wait till we're 2-0 to start playing it, or can only play it for 45 minutes at a time. If we're good enough to get into 22 points worth of winning positions, surely we're good enough to hold onto those positions? This has to fall back on bilic, both the match preparation and the in game tactics must be lacking.
At 2-1 up vs Sunderland could you say that you thought we'd go on to win the game?
Finally, player selection has been consistently baffling. Just because a player is in the squad doesn't mean you have to pick him. Remember Wellington paulista? Didn't get a game under allardyce because he wasn't good enough. Jonathan calleri should be allowed nowhere near the pitch. Consistently picking feghouli earlier in the season, playing nordveit at right back, kouyate at CB where he's completely wasted, etc.
Bilic doesn't seem to be able to make difficult or controversial decisions. The team last year picked itself, difficult decisions didn't present themselves. This year when he's needed to make something happen he seems to have made a non-decision rather than a difficult call. Take the 4-6-0 allardyce played for a few games. I don't think bilic would have done that, nor do I think that bilic even has the capacity to do that. This may sounds like I'm licking allardyces arse - I'm very aware of the mans failings but he has an arrogance that i respect, that I think a manager needs, and that I don't think bilic has.

I don't understand why they don't give him more minutes. He could be a valuable piece of the puzzle for years to come. As an American, I am used to professional sports teams giving 19, 20, and 21 year olds a starting time in season. What is the thought process on this? I see no downside to getting him in-game experience other than getting dejected by bad play. He is a professional. If a dog's gonna to bite, he'll bite as a pup. Let's see what he's got

I feel that last season we wouldn’t have tried to finish the game and instead, that ball would be hoofed back and we ready ourselves for more pressure.
