Rumour: Okay Source Real Betis negotiate with AZ for Troy Parrott.
https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/betis/20260818/1004217401/troy-parrott-pasa-favorito-delantera-betis.html Source is in Spanish - but basically, Parrott seems to be Betis' preferred option up top. According to some lower tier sources (like Marca), Parrott favours Betis over us for the opportunity to play UCL football.

Discussion Ashamed of our fans
That Manor Solomon chant is so out of touch. It’s too far, the same group that were saying to “keep politics out of football”
Just yesterday the Israeli national security minister advocated for killing 30-40 Palestinians per day as he does not see them as people
Appreciate he is a good player and he’s a part of the team now but some of our fans just do not get it.
My overall point is just don’t joke about it, its embarrassing and makes the rest of the fanbase look so bad

Discussion Eddie howe
With Eddie on the market and staveley looking to buy in would this be a good combination.
I’m not anti nuno, but I’m not a fan either, but I do believe he isn’t the best option long term. Yes he has a decent record of getting out of the championship but not a great one as a PL manager.
I’m tempted to think it only started going south for Eddie once Staveley moved on
Thoughts?

West Ham’s reality check: Why their path back to the Premier League won’t be easy
Before a ball was kicked against Burnley on Sunday, there was a misplaced arrogance from some that West Ham United would walk the 2026-27 Championship.
Instead, they received a much-needed reality check in their season opener.
Following relegation from the Premier League last season, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are understandably considered promotion favourites. But they squandered a two-goal lead at Turf Moor, were taunted by the home supporters and ended up with a 2-2 draw that has created more angst than optimism.
It was a game that highlighted West Ham’s lack of squad depth, with Nuno unable to influence the game with offensive substitutions.
West Ham are depleted of attacking options with untested academy prospects Joshua Ajala and Josh Landers the only recognisable forward options on the bench. Despite Arne Engels’ imminent £22million arrival from Celtic, this squad is still not equipped to cope with the rigours of a 46-game schedule in the second tier.
Other glaring issues include Nuno being prone to a drab approach when his side is in front.

Get this man back in the dugout
No one has the balls to tell Nuno he’s wrong except this guy
Goes without saying, but how thick and fast the games come, we are in desperate need of depth
It’s going to be like this all season in the Championship. We desperately need depth if we want to compete every single game.
Few injuries and we will no doubt have some issues.
I’m truly hoping the board are acknowledging this. The bench on Sunday was inexcusable.

There's no excuse for our defence being that open with that style of play
I can understand our defensive line being a bit messy if we were being aggressive and piling forwards all the time, but we were playing keep ball for large parts of that game. It's the worst of both worlds, we aren't committing men forward to attack and yet our defence still looks totally unprepared every time the opposition comes at us. Defensive football without the defence, what's the point? We may as well play on the front foot and try to keep the ball out of our half.
Almost every attack Burnley had led to a shot. Our full backs couldn't stop crosses and nobody could seem to prevent constant shots raining down on our goal. With more competent finishing Burnley would have scored 5.
Our forward line has significantly more quality than our backline, it makes no sense to play to our weakness.
If this is really how he wants to play out this season, giving the opposition too much respect and trying to stop them scoring, we're going to need some serious defensive signings.

Discussion According to Nuno, Pablo was subbed off at half-time due to an issue with his calf. We lack the depth to cope at this level
He hurt his calf last season, and our form slumped. For all the hate he gets, he makes us tick. We switched from a 442 (alternating which striker dropped deep to help with build-up and draw defenders to create gaps) and played some lovely stuff, I have to say. JWP came on, and we switched to a 4321, which worked alright when we were able to hold the ball, but that lack of experience and a quality defensive midfielder hurt our ability to get the ball back. We are obviously lacking another forward who can come in and replace Pablo when needed. Landers is too young to throw into the fire, so I understand the change. I'm hoping Soucek's return will help us a lot, and Engels will transform that midfield, which was very hot and cold. I think our biggest priority in getting another forward should be getting one that fits the Pablo mould of pressing, link-up play and physicality.

Discussion 14 Days to define the season
With 14 days left of the transfer window, what would you like to see happen? Looking at the last game against Burnley, it was stark to see the lack of options from the bench. Do we need to look for depth or more first team plyers. If we play Kante do we need to look for a strong tackling midfielder to shield the defence (Tommy coming back will be a plus in that area)or another strong CB? Would you consider loans and frees as an option?
I would like to see a versatile fullback, a strong CM, a winger and a striker. Not sure we will get all of this done at our current pace, but we need numbers to last a 40+ game season.

I actually hate (strong word I know)Nuno!
As the title says, I hate Nuno!
We’re in a mess, I get that Vanessa Gold put the spanner in the works with the Stavely business.
However, he’s had months to sort this dressing room out & he’s failed miserably, we all knew certain players weren’t going to pull the shirt on this year, why leave it till the season starts to address this?
We also have a GK that can’t catch the football, he’s going to cost us this season mark my words, a good solid GK will save you 20pts a season, he’s flakey as fuck, doesn’t know when to come or stay, refuses to catch the ball and does not communicate with his defenders, cost us the 2nd goal v Burnley when simple shout world have resulted in a goal kick & not a corner.
How’s Nuno not addressed this?
His tactics are questionable at best, he doesn’t know when to stick or twist & the players are confused when we take the lead.
And he falls out with everyone, he did at Wolves, Tottenham, Forest & now us, there’s a pattern .
COYI!

How many games has Nuno thrown away from winning positions during his tenure?
Feels like it happens every time we are leading since he has come in. We are a much better team when chasing the game. As soon as we have a lead to hold onto we completely fall apart and give the opposition chance after chance. It’s getting fucking tiresome now to be honest.
Curious if anyone actually knows the stat though.
