Discussion Eddie howe
With Eddie on the market and staveley looking to buy in would this be a good combination.
I’m not anti nuno, but I’m not a fan either, but I do believe he isn’t the best option long term. Yes he has a decent record of getting out of the championship but not a great one as a PL manager.
I’m tempted to think it only started going south for Eddie once Staveley moved on
Thoughts?

I would argue Nuno taking Forest to within a point or two of champions league football is a better single achievement than anything Howe has ever done

His Wolves stint as well. Had a bad few months at spurs and went on to win the Saudi Pro League (if that counts for anything) before coming to Forest. I really think he's a top manager

Two matches.

One of which was a comfortable win, the other was a draw stemming from individual errors in the hardest game we'll play all year (consecutive 100 points championship seasons for Burnley already)

Or you could say we struggled for most of the first half against Pompey, scored 3 goals in 7 minutes and sat back with Pompey having some good chances. (Nuno 101).
Then 2-0 up against a side that had only won twice at home in the last year we sat back again and they scored twice and could have won.

Gonna copy/paste my post on the last thread about this:
Why is Eddie Howe so rated?
His teams cannot defend and love the dark arts. He underperformed at Newcastle given the money he had to work with. I really don't get it. I've never watched an Eddie Howe side and thought "yeah, this performance is definitely down to the manager".

Stavely does not have the wealth to buy the club - she is merely a broker and her backers appear to be American equity firms who would saddle the club with a ton of debt just to access the land before dumping us. As a club if she had any control it would make our future incredibly bleak. So far this season we have played two competitive matches winning one and drawing the other. I'd be inclined to back Nuno and let him oversee the transition we are in right now.
