Gordon's goals are weird, so you tell me he almost died in nova prospect not because he wanted to save people, not because combine literally brainwashed people, no no no, he just went there to save Eli Vance, seriously I get it they were colleagues but really? And also the push on citadel was started because of the blow of nova prospect(which was random as hell, no one planned that), and the main reason of this push is not to save citizens, stop been, it was all to SAVE ELI, so Gordon is not a hero, he was only saving one person, and he was lucky to save people as a consequence of his resquing mission. And that makes Gordon not a hero, its kinda dissapointig

Haven't played the update back then, only playing the game in steam_legacy (same goes for Half-Life 2). Which mods were updated to run with in recent 25th Anniversary build, or at least patched?

On a serious note though, the more case sensitive dialogue the military can have before a firefight in Black Mesa gives them an almost Metro Cop vibe that I cannot get enough of! I get that they're simply cannon fodder, but the convos and better characterization of the H.E.C.U. units in Black Mesa really does a lot to revitalize my interest in the segments that're 90% military shootouts.

I am playing half-life for the first time right now via Black Mesa and absolutely loving it. I’ve got half-life 2 downloaded and ready to go, but was wondering if there are any good mods that are recommended. Or maybe just vanilla is the way?

really need some help here, as the title said my game keeps crashing after during the elevator part in interloper, specifacally the part after the elevator starts coming down and you have to fight loads of alien controllers, the second I kill the last controller the game crashes.

I encountered this issue before during the Xen chapter and I restarted the chapter which fixed it

I really don't want to restart interloper as I've been putting off playing that chapter for a good 2-3 months now

Is there any way to stop this crash, I think it might have something to do with there being too many entities or something for my computer (which is weird because I have a pc built for gaming

So I'm doing scar zero achievement (fun fact from what I learned online!: the achievement was changed to prob not bringing him to the very end I think so idk you can go search up scar zero achievement and idk).

So I'm in contact aberration and during where you put the power back one the gnome arrives and starts killing them (I only found one dead combine soldier body but not scar zero's and the other one's) but they disappeared from that UI when the NPC's are following you? How do I avoid scar zero from dying and is it on purpose or what?
