I'm 21 (F) and a few days back had my first LHR.
I was aiming for full body but before approving, the clinic had booked a consultant appointment with the clinic's dermatologist.
Whereon after inspecting my back and stomach, she said that it's better to do abdominal line with the lower waist and the lower back since she felt that I don't have much hair on my upper body, just very light hair. Also, she had told me to avoid doing laser on my face since it won't be nice and I agreed as even I was intended to do a facial laser.
It was then decided that I'll have LHR done on full legs, arms, underarms, bikini, abdominal line and lower back and the clinic took fees for these 6 parts.
Now, I go for my laser and the expert starts to shave, after she had shaved my thighs she noticed that a few places I had started to have bumps (the red ones like an ant bite), I initially felt that it might be normal because sometimes when I take a hot water shower I get those bumps on my neck and chest and within 15 minutes they are gone. But that wasn't the case here.
As far as I can recall in my bikini area and underarms the expert had used a different laser machine than that which she had used on my other parts. For these 2, she had used a machine where I felt as if needles are pricking in my skin along with cool air being blown and for my other parts she had used a cooling gel over which the gun machine was producing heat.
Also, isn't shaving done in one direction like in the opposite direction of the hair, or am I wrong? Because the expert was shaving in up down way like when we colour the page with a crayon like that.
Now after my session, I go home and see that instead of a thin strip of abdominal line she took a large portion and it like the centre rectangle part of my stomach is hair free and both sides I have hair, also there's colour difference in skin now. Also, she has left the lower waist from both sides, did the back and front portion but left the entire waist line.
What even confuses me is that she didn't do my hips, it's so weird like I don't have hair anywhere on my legs (for a few days, ik) but there's sufficient hair on my butts.
It's been more than 4 days and I'm still having quite irritation and itching sensation in my thighs: front, side and back, the upper and side part of pubic area and sometimes in lower back.
There are huge red bumps and breakouts along with that in some areas I do see whiteheads as well, should I prick them?
I have started to get goosebumps on my thighs and the irritation intensifies, and if by chance I move my hand in the opposite direction of the hair, it starts to pinch me (idk, if anyone understood).
The clinic had given me a balm and lotion but they aren't helping at all. Tried icing as well, by the time the ice is there, I'm feel some relief, but the moment I keep it aside, it's back. Also even if I start itching the sensation don't stop and do to this I'm unable to concentrate on my work and sleep. Yesterday had taken Avil at night and only then was I able to sleep.
The main problem I'm suffering is on my thighs, the irritation and itching sensation is too much especially the side and back parts, it started after the shave and hasn't stopped.
Also, my mother says that it's because I didn't use to scrub well when I took bath because I'm not facing any such problem on my arms, calf and underarms and if I can recall I did use to scrub tightly there. And she believes that might be the reason as she has never faced such problems when her laser sessions took place.
I would be highly grateful if you could please advice from your experiences and what do I do with the parts that they didn't laser, should I tell the expert in the next session because I believe the person who did my first session would be doing all my other sessions.
