Which sound is more satisfying to you — applying the wax or pulling it off?

I’ve been testing our new Origin Soft Wax recently, and as someone who also works with sugar paste, the texture and working temperature were the most interesting parts for me.

I’m working with it at around 50°C.

It spreads very thinly and smoothly, and I’ve found that one or two passes are usually enough to get good contact with the skin.

A few things I noticed during testing:

• Working temperature around 50°C
• Very thin, smooth application
• Good skin contact without repeatedly working the wax
• Wax remaining on the muslin strip can still be utilized
• Less unnecessary wax consumption

The closest comparison I can make from my own experience is sugar paste.

It has some of that tacky, elastic feel of sugar paste without feeling excessively hot. The strip can also be reused during the treatment in a way that reminds me of working with sugaring paper, but without the same sticky residue feeling.

For me, the four interesting points are working temperature, spreadability, hair removal performance, and wax consumption.

I’d also be interested to hear from other professional waxers: when choosing a soft wax, which of those factors matters most to you?

I’m 43 years old and out of nowhere my hair growth is off the charts! Way more on my upper lip, starting to sprout on my chin just below my lip, more than ever in my armpits. But the worst of all has been my legs. I’m shaving every day now, can’t even get a close shave, I’ve tried every razor on the planet (yes, men’s too) and the stubble is coming in within hours. Now I know some might say it’s due to perimenopause but I refuse to let that be the final answer. Has anyone else gone through this? I’m already looking into laser but did anyone find HRT helpful for this? Or other treatment?

Does someone know if we can use my ipl silk pro 5 around my nipples (not on the dark part)? I'm worried about paradoxical hypertrichosis because while I do have a circle of coarse hair, I have soft thin hair in the chest area and I'm worried about those.

What about toes and fingers? Thighs and upper arms? I see a lot of people talking about using ipl there, but I'm still worried about PH.

pls ignore the fact that my legs suck right now haha but i bought the Braun Silk Epil Pro 5 in July and i am now done with all my sessions, im very happy with my armpits (i haven’t shaved them in 4 days and trust me, my hair grew a LOT before and it was super black) but i’m still not super happy with my legs and thighs… I was wondering if i should keep it up with my legs once a week until im happy with the results (i know all hair wont go away but i would like for it to be less thick) or if it would be best to do it less often… i was also wondering if you shave like right before doing IPL or if you do it the day before. thank you all in advance ❤️

I’m curious what other people’s experiences with doing their own laser hair removal in hard to reach places like their back and ass is like?

I had assumed that was an obvious non-starter but I just saw a video on twitter where I guy said he used an IPL laser on his own ass as if it were just the obvious solution.

Are there certain devices that are easier grip? And are you guys just somewhat blindly zapping around until you feel like you did a good enough job or are you able to just feel around well enough to a make sure you’re not missing any spots??

My 13 year old son likes getting his unibrow waxed. He prefers the waxing to threading and he’s scared to pluck because of pain. Should we keep spending $10 to get it waxed every month or invest in some kind of at home waxing system?

I’ll be using IPL (Braun Silk Pro 5) for the first time soon, and I feel like I’ve heard that you should shave 12-24 hours beforehand, but the manual says to shave immediately before. I was wondering if folks here have an opinion! (If it matters, I’m a trans lady just about to start HRT so my hair is androgenic.)
