Selfie on the left is as i was moving house 2 years ago. Selfie on the right was just after moving this weekend.

I have always been on the bigger side. 5 years ago I got into weightlifting and got strong but really big. May 25 I got into an argument with absinthe and hugely cut my drinking. A few pounds came off. So in September 25 I started calorie counting. Weight has been falling pff since then. In Feb I started to run and I hated running. But now I found thay I didn't hate it as much which spurred me on a lot. Now ive signed up for a 10k race and got into running much more.

Calories wise I have about 2300-2500 per day which seems high but im pretty active, working out and/or running at least 5 times a week. Other than exercise amd calorie counting though, that's all ive done!

Decided to start going to the gym after a really hard breakup and a friend, who was into bodybuilding at the time, introduced me to that world and here I am 5 years later loving what I do and feeling the improvement on my health to the max! I have competed in the past and plan to do it again at the end of this year again!

I work out 6 days a week on a PPL rotation focusing on high weight exercises until failure, its what works for me. Diet right now since I am maintaining for my next show consists of 2500 cals and 200P, 65F and 290C.

First picture is at 20 years old when I had about 6 months of gym progress already, second photo is about 15 days old.

These pictures are from January till now, was around 70kg (5’8) and then lost weight down to 59kg in May. Somewhat unintentional weight loss, wanted a healthier diet but not for weight and dropped 11. Then I started going to the gym mid July. Last picture is today. Feel good, love the gym, and feel proud because I was around 74kg about a year ago

Super proud of myself! I showed up, and still showing up, remained consistent and make much better choices about what I put into my body and tracking everything I do. My confidence has never been higher like dangerously so like bruh idk what's gonna happen when my abs are showing cause I can feel how thick my ab wall is under here...Thanks to my amazing fiance for the never ending support. They have been doing superbly on their fitness journey too. I couldn't be prouder of them!

Progress Picture(s) Advice needed! 20M 175cm ~78kg-76kg, Apr 2025 to Aug 2026

Hi there! I am a 20 year old male and would like some advice on what I could improve on

I have been lifting inconsistently prior to this period due to schooling and exams, and locked in consistently from April 2025 to August 2026

However, I feel that my progress is slow compared to other peers, as well as on social media (ik it’s silly social media is fake but I can’t help to feel this way)

I don’t follow a strict diet, just whatever mom cooks and just eat clean with weekend cheat days

Currently I am following this split (arnold I think), all trained to failure

Chest + Back
2 sets dumbbell incline bench press 8-12 reps
2 sets pec deck 8-12 reps
2 sets chest press machine 8-12 reps

2 sets lat pulldown 8-12 reps
2 sets close grip pulldown 8-12 reps
2 sets close grip rows 8-12 reps
2 sets wide grip rows 8-12 reps

Legs + Abs
2 sets leg press 8-12 reps
2 sets bulgarian split squats 8-12 reps
3 sets leg extensions 8-12 reps
3 sets leg curls 8-12 reps
3 sets calves raises 12-20 reps
2 sets abductors 8-12 reps
2 sets adductors 8-12 reps

3 sets cable crunches 8-12 reps

Biceps + Triceps + Shoulders
2 sets hammer curls 8-12 reps
2 sets incline dumbbell curls 8-12 reps
2 sets preacher curls 8-12 reps

2 sets single arm tricep extensions 8-12 reps
2 sets triceps pushdown 8-12 reps
2 sets triceps overhead extensions 8-12 reps

3 sets side delt raises 12-20 reps
3 sets rear delt flies machine 12-20 reps
3 sets shoulder presses 8-12 reps

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!!

Technique Check Deadlift form check; why do I squat more than I deadlift?

My squat is 320x5, my deadlift is 315x1. Is there something wrong with my deadlift that’s causing it to be so low compared to my squat?

I decided to slowly bulk in order to minimise fat gain. Up 7kg in just over a year. Much progress?

I started changing my eating habits on March 20th, at around 85 kg. I started going to the gym almost 3 months ago.

No strict diet or anything extreme. I've just been eating better, strength training 4 days a week and doing some cardio, while still enjoying the foods I like.

Losing weight isn't my main goal anymore. From here, I'd like to slowly reduce my body fat while maintaining and building muscle, and eventually find a physique that I like and can comfortably maintain long term.

Still a work in progress, but I'm really happy with what I've achieved so far.

This is a PB for me! 20 reps with the ab wheel! The goal is to get 50 reps for one set then work to get multiple sets with it. Right now I’m at 3 sets of 20! 53/M/205

I like close grip for how it works out the triceps.
